final fantasy 7, 8, and 9 are the best. They are the only 3d ff games that give you an entire planet to explore. 10 and 13 have good mythology and 12 is adventurous but, they don't compare. On the ps1 games you can go any where, you can fly, go to different cites, you can play cards with almost anyone, you can kill, You can treasure hunt, You can get on a train and ride to one city, play cards with somebody, do a side quest, breed a chocobo.. In final fantasy 13 You walk forward and never return

ive played almost all of the final fantasys and my favorites are 4(although i had the snes version that was called 2 when it first came out) and 7... i bought 13 when it first came out... biggest waste of money ever... i played about 3 hours though it and couldnt play anymore... the gameplay sucked the storyline sucked... the graphics were good... but its too bad that the only reason the company is making any money is based on past success because the newer stuff is just garbage

Each Final Fantasy has a completely different story. Many of them have had subsequent games/movies made out of that particular story. The only one to have a direct sequel game was FF X. And yes, this video is mostly artistic renditions of the characters and not the actual game play.

@devliaznownt The only anime is FFVII: The Last Order. It's approximately a half hour anime recreation of a particular plot point that occurs in the game. Aside from that, there's also two older shows called Final Fantasy: Unlimited and Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals, the latter of which is a sequel to Final Fantasy V. Then there's two movies, Spirits Within and Advent Children, the latter of which is a sequel to Final Fantasy VII. Aside from that, the rest are all games.

I JUST started playing Final Fantasy 1 for the first time.
