There is no limit in England on how close to houses a turbines can be placed. The minimum distance is dictated only by planning guidance on noise (ETSU-R-97). This was drafted in 1997 when turbines were a lot smaller. ETSU-R-97 allows turines to generate more noise in nearby houses than the WHO say is required to get back to sleep. Even then it's not unusual for developers to have to scale back plans to to get them to comply and 1 in 6 wind farms have noise complaints.
I'd hardly call that a problem! Would you prefer this or a massive powerstation churning out CO2 and other airborn pollutants that cause thousands of premature deaths a year! People that reject this technology should have a coal power station installed next to them instead!
People are so hyporcitic. They say, let's use green energy, but don't do it close to me. But btw CO2 is not a pollutant neither is dangerous for health.
You leftist greenies just don't get it do you? People shouldn't have to put up with the strobe affect of blade flicker, nor should they have to move away, they were there before the wind towers It is a documented fact that wind towers have a variety of serious adverse affects on people, and livestock. It is a problem that needs to be addressed.
@starbats1: totally agree, but the problem here is not the wind turbine itself, it's the idiot that thought it was a good idea to place it this close to a home. And even if that was necessary, you shouldn't place it south of a home on the northern hemisphere. That's asking for trouble.
er gaan er 3 op een rij komen bij ons... op 400 m van ons huis! dat gaat plezant worden....
