No. When someone breaks a world record, they've at least attempted that weight before AND partially completed a rep (ie: couldn't get past the sticking point). When you can barely lift your feet to get away from the rack, you have at least 90 lbs more than what you should be using. Spotters are to keep you from getting stuck in the hole or to knock the weight off your back when you start to fall. There is NOTHING they could have done with this lift, other than what they did. A rack would have been a much smarter decision.
I dont think its wise to wear work boots while exercising especially during squats since they are engineered with water/oil resistance gripping technology. And unhocking the the bar from the catch requires you to move a couple steps back to clear the weight from the rest point causing gripping with the floor.

Work boots are actually a great choice of foot-ware for the squat. They offer excellent ankle and arch support, and they don't compress as much as cross trainers ( compression can cause you to have uneven footing).

ok, i didnt watch this, just want to say how much i appreciate being warned that it shows an injury! (i turned sound down too so i wouldnt hear anything yuck). I made the mistake of watching some guy get injured in a youtube judo clip and i felt sick afterwards, so thanks!
