  • omg thats anything.....its a joke or what?

  • is this d same kalantiyaw of gm domeng ferrer?

  • Looks like an amateur

  • You could also study this and mix it up with Muay Boran. :D

  • well shot trailer by Director Rainer Loeser, who under United Movietone Pictures is currently shooting 'Silent Predator', salt water crocodiles in far Northern Queensland, Australia.

  • I swear I've been hit by one of those sticks and it hurts like 3 hours in pain... it looks pretty boring but for me its deadly as it looks like... I know that filipinos are good in boxing and stick fighting and most of all they're good in knife

  • nice stick moves but wow you suck at empty hand fighting.

always keep your hands up when punching and turn that hip and pivot when you throw a round kick man.

  • Can we see more of the great Grand Master Galo Lalic. Keep the trailers coming man, love them.

  • I love your style of Direction, the action is great. Master Galo is one of the best Grand Masters I've seen. Thank you for your trailers. When is it coming to DVD, and where can I get the full version?

  • I was training with Master Galo last 2003 and I learned a lot from him. I used to be a Taekwondo practitioner but after meeting up with the Master I felt some guilt inside me for mastering a foreign martial art and not my own as a Filipino. I redeemed my self and been teaching Kalintaw to my children the Master Galo way. The best!

  • I'm sure Master Galo will be please to know that you are teaching Kalintaw to your children, the Galo way.

  • Your children may be interested to know that in the next few days a new trailer from us is coming to you tube, titled Arns Junior fighting. Watch for it.

  • aidana boi galing nanaman master galo d lalic sipag, tyaga at talino este disiplina, tapang, talino stu yaba wooooooh I LOVE KaLINTAW!!!!

  • A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR RAINER LOESER Shooting of the movie ' The Art Of Stick To Stick Fighting' starring Grand Master Galo D. Lalic ,under United Movietone Pictures is now being edited and will be released on DVD in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates.

  • hanep! ramon zamora ang dating....

  • are you sure this guy is some sort of master ?

his sticks moves are slow and simple, his 1 finger push-ups were kind of a joke, one could probably do tongue push-ups with the feet placed like that, and the huge belly doesn't help either.

not bashing FMA, those are great, I'm just not sure if this particular 'master' is the best example...

he's one active old man, i'll give him that :)

  • @firuinthehouse Alot of things are not as they seem. If you go to a karate dojo you wont see some pretty impressive stuff there either. Most people have high expectations because of what they see on TV and in movies. Sure there can be some pretty exciting moves but what they aim for is effectiveness.

  • @thegamerman7 - I'm not comparing this video with Holiwood movies, just with other training and sparring videos I've seen from other dojos.

The flashy part of the moves has some importance, I mean due to the speed, complex movements and there being 2 weapons, it's easier to mislead opponents, than with slow direct movements.

That's what I liked about Kali in the first place, how hard it is to follow both sticks with the eyes, if handled properly.

    Cheers mate :)

  • @firuinthehouse dude he's our mr.miyagi :D

  • hhmm

  • W.C.

  • don't get me wrong, but i fell asleep while watching this video... soooooooo boring! you should've done something more exciting than this if you wanna promote yer martial arts...

plus the uniform looks so shiny and weird... and doesn't look filipino at all...

it would've been funner to watch an actual street fight...

or robin padilla in a fight scene... haha!

i'd like to see that old man in a real street fight with that so called martial arts of his...

  • mga tol ayos naman pahiya tau jan.... ang baduy..... filipino pero ang damit kungfu asus.....

  • di kya pang kungfu un may kulay red ,black orange. kungfu orange and white zz

  • ДУШЕВНО!

  • the name kalintaw is from the number one philippine martial art name international KUNTAW FEDERATION,I.K.F and mr.galo know that

  • lol rainer loser.

  • nice, ayos..

  • i hate that stupid chinese music at the begining. try doing some native filipino music please.

  • im not saying dat filipino native music sucks its just that well ull find out about it

  • sir i just would like to ask does master lalic teach the ancient filipino kuntao whick is influenced by chinese?

  • We are currently shooting a new documentary on Galo and I will let him know your question.

  • Yaw Yan short for SaYaw ng KamataYan or dance of death is the Philippine traditional kickboxing.Promote these FMA so it get more popular in our country.

  • there is nothing traditional about yaw yan...its a recent invention, just like jeet kundo and MMA...check yer references please :)

  • Excellent video sir!

    Thank you for sharing!

    -William-

  • is is asa...go sir galo..hehe

  • This guy in the red is dictating how he is to be attacked, which is a flaw in most martial arts training. If you know how you are to be attacked then it is far easier to defend yourself.

I know this is a demonstration, though this type of "training" is common in almost all martial arts schools and does not prepare the trainee for a real life event where you cannot choose how you are to be attacked so when it does happen, confusion and panic sets in and you are hurt because of it.

  • you do have a point about the set up. However, when the Filipinos start to practice more and more, without having to explain it for the camera or an audience, the practice really becomes formless and without a script. This is actually one of the great benefits of the Filipino arts and why they tend to be the faster of the martial arts. When you have to train to constantly expect an attack, which could come from anywhere, you eventually lose the patterns you are speaking of an gain added speed

  • @Nexus6Replicant of course he is training his student, that's why you have to show how to do the drill. mastery of a technique needs repetition. if you try to repeat a move for a hundred times you could learn and master it. and soon it will make you equipped to use it in real life situations ^^

  • Former student o Master Galo..its nice to see he is stip and running...Regards Po!!!

    Regards din po kay Chris!

  • wow!!dati po akong kalintaw..and i still rememmber sir galo

  • Thank you so much! Master Galo has told me a lil' bit about you.

  • Thanks for the comment. Any good comment on Master Galo is always appreciated.

  • i think the basic of this is the footwork

  • Master Galo personally told me (no joke) that Kalintaw is not Kung Fu. Therefore, we are requesting you to change this video title. Thank you.

  • idol

  • idol ko yan si pinuno

  • you guys do thia box too

  • Master Galo Lalic was my instructor for self defense in Criminology, he is not like other instructor that only display there belts. He will make sure that if you leave the class you've learn something. Now I train my kids the way I was trained by Master Lalic.

  • master Galo,, i been there last dec.. nice place,, good work! go master Galo!

  • very good clip! It shows that u can learn a lot from this master. Im sure theres still more from this man. And to u mr. edward062876,look who's talking? I wonder if how young are u?6 years old?coz u knw what? Ur comments are so immature. Nonsense!U cant just judge a man like that, age and tummy?are u gay? Or ur just insecure?or maybe envious?oh dear, u really deserve an AK47? Pity you boy, grow up!

  • awesome photography

  • I appreciate your comment, thanks....

  • I appreciate your comment.

  • bravo..! mabuhay po

  • I would like to reply to Mr.Edward062876 any fool can shoot a weapon but it takes a real man to face each other man to man without a weapon. If you thank you can beat him without a gun than you are welcom to try ,don't let his looks fool you.

  • bro! How could he block if im using AK 47 to shot that fucking master.Tell me.?I rather train to BJ PENN....ALoha....!!!!!Your master is old. Look at his tummy..he he he.

  • Who in the world can block an AK 47? Not even BJ Penn and all the UFC fighters put togeather can do that. And am sure BJ would like to take a foul student like you, NOT! Let's see you do what Master Galo does when and if you get to his age, you won't be able to do half of what he does. You're an internet white belt who show's his mental age and skill level with your comments!

  • it's the ninjas who could summon gigantic animals and walk in water. also as the samurais who can cut a tank into halves.

  • Sorry, no. Ninja cannot do that. Ninja used Mizu-gumo to walk on water. Samurai as well cannot cut a tank in half or halves. Edward is an idiot who can only bash a small child with his home made AK47 and nothing more. I will be meeting master Galo tomorrow.

  • wow that brought back memories.

i had the pleasure of training with Galo for 10 months back in 1996. he is one of the most honourable and dedicated martial artist i have ever had the pleasure to meet and continues to be an inspiration to me in my martial arts journey.

I knew i had the right guy when he insisted i train for my black belt rather then try to sell me 1 like countless other "masters" out there

the warmth of his heart and puriety of his soul should be commended.

  • minds a vary powerfull thing

  • Very well put, when you said that Galo is one of the most honourable and dedicated artist of today. I'm sure he will appreciate your comment.

  • Very nice. I would be happy to learn from another filipino. =]

  • I think that Master Galo D. Lalic is one of the greatest Martial Artis I've ever had the pleasure to learn from, and I wish he would make more DVD so the world can see the art of Kalintaw.

  • Galo would be pleased to hear that some of his past students speak so highly of him and his teachings on the art of Kalintaw. There are plans under way to make a full length film. Directed by Rainer Loeser under United Movietone Pictures on Galo D. Lalic.

  • Greetings I'm Guro TC Jones and had the pleasure of training and fighting for Master Galo Lalic back in the early 80's and still use his system as my base art. Good video. Hopefully I'll see him again in '09.

  • Thanks for your comment on the video. The more feedback we can get on Master Galo D. Lalic and the Way of Kalintaw will no doubt keep this ancient art alive. If there are any other past students out there, your feedback would be appreciated.

  • Kalintaw is my foundation before i took up Karate, Jiujitsu and KravMaga. Punong Guro Galo D. Lalic is one of the greatest masters i ever knew. Kudos to Punong Guro Lalic! More videos about Kalintaw please. Punong Guro is as dextrous as ever! I was his student at Lionel's Gym in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines! I miss the trainings with him!

  • Thanks for your comment on Kalintaw and Galo Lalic. I'm sure he'll be pleased. A new film will be coming out later this year on Galo. D Lalic from Director Rainer Loeser under United Movietone Pictures.

  • hahahahah great!

  • I have had the privilege to train with Punong Guro Lalic back in 2003 where I did 2 weeks private training with him and also attended his classes at angeles university where I did a couple of seminar with the defensive tactics program that I teach to law enforcement and security personnel.. It was a great pleasure to train with him for this short time and hopefully will be able to do more training with him in the future

  • Thank you for your feedback on Lalic. I'm

sure he will appreciate what you had to

    say.

  • galing master aah:-_)
