That mask of Abe Lincoln was his life mask. His death mask had the eye lids etc and show the aging of his face.

BTW , there was never a death mask made of Lincoln. The mask show in this video appears to be a life mask Lincoln had done just after he was elected to the Presidency. Lincoln had a second life mask done two weeks before he was murdered. This one shows the whiskers. A death mask of Lincoln was never done.

Two things:

-First mask (the gold mask), is named "the mask of Agamemnon", discovered by Heinrich Schliemann in Mycenae, but subsequent research has placed the mask in the period between 1500 and 1550 bc, before of Agamemnon's birth, anyway, the name is no changed.

-Correct Brunelleschi's first name is Filippo.

Actually, Pres. Lincoln's "Death" mask, was actually a "Life" mask, because, he was still alive when the one :34 is shown. He was actually accepting the Republican Nomination of 1860 at that time.

Interesting video, but it's pretty annoying that the writing is over the image of the death mask.. just as you start to see the image, it's covered up. This would be much more interesting to watch, if the masks weren't covered up by the writing as soon as they appear.

not really. and the greatest part of having facial hair is some of it is attached to the mask leaving a sample of dna. it also allows us to look upon the faces of people we would otherwise NEVER be able to look at. before cameras. i for one would love it if there were masks of the Earp family and their women. That would be super cool.
