I have never seen credible evidence that there is slavery going on in China. Anecdotal stories hold very little weight. The inconvenient fact is that China has had the highest per capita GDP growth of any large country for at least the last 20 years. China is growing into an economic powerhouse. That is because they have a more free market system. And the people are sharing in that.

The inconvenient fact is that China has had the highest per capita GDP growth of any large country for at least the last 20 years. China is growing into an economic powerhouse. If they made laws against abuse, that would be the end of Capitalism as we know it, and it would make me quite happy. We should not underestimate the power of voting with our wallets. WalMart and similar retailers have almost all their goods made under similar contracts. Yet ppl are proud to say they got something at a good price at WalMart. There's a disconnect between the knowledge and the act of buying. They can't resist a bargain.
