Great video- especially because you did it in HD so I can actuall;y read the screen. I WISH there'd been narrative audio in English because i'm not 100% visual with regard to remembering things so I had to watch it 6 times and still kept forgetting stuff. You should also show or state right off that the INSERT option is a completely different omdule installation. Maybe list all required modules at the beginning of your tutorials?
Like philipjterry I thought it looked complicated at first but I was wrong. Follow it through carefully and your site visitors will get the simplest and most versatile setup I can imagine - forget about FKFinder or IMCE for adding pictures to Content Types, this is the one.
you have to go through all that to put an image on the page - seems far too complicated or too many functions to complete a simple task in Drupal..... ???
Great job!

Absolutely great tutorial. Thanks for posting! I found this quite helpful in activating lightbox for Drupal.

is there a way to link the thumbnail to image node instead of using lightbox?

@stingermann
Administer › Content management
Content types > YOURCONTENTTYPE > Display Fields
here you can select what should append with the image field
-----------------------------
but if you use the picture as a node it will be every tricky i think.
some fast ideas... : - look at Node Reference or - build a custom View and include it Views Attach
