I have a Mac and have 3 pcs (one Dell desktop, one Dell laptop and one Acer Aspire One). I never had problems with viruses, malware, spyware or blue screen of dead with any my computers in the last 9 years. I of course setup proper permissions in Windows OS and security stuff (firewall, updates, spacks, ids, steadystate) and never install bogus software. I have lot of software not available for MACs. I only use the MAC for internet browsing, ocassionally. Good add.
You have no idea of how often a mac can crash. Can you remember Mac OS 9? It was so a piece of crap, even windows 95 was better! And Windows 7 is definitely a great OS! The virus aspect is given as the market share of windows is 90% So don't be always against Microsoft and feel to be part of a pseudo elite like apple. MS will always be bigger and more powerful than apple. And trust me, Apple did a lot of mistakes and wrong decisions in the past as well! BTW: I use both: Win7/Snow Leopard
Mac losers? Well i think your find that your the joke here, you have a significant amount of crashing with a pc, A LOT of viruses and an operating system that is pathetic. You know deep down that Macs are the way forward, that and their operating system that actually works and actually helps everyday life, rather than slow it down and giving headaches!
@Jonno2105 I'm a gamer, so Macs are totally out of the question for me. And in case you didn't know, gaming is what's been driving the computer industry forward the most. If it weren't for games, computers would be viewed strictly as office equipment and no manufacturer would believe that computer can be marketed to the home consumer. Mac are only good for people who wants to use a computer but refuse to put forth any effort to learn anything about them.
I am a Mac user but I run windows on it all the time. Like many sane people i see the benefit of both operating systems and their strengths and weaknesses. However, my point is... isn't it nice while Microsoft are laying off lots of staff they're still able to go out and buy computers for people and pay for advertising campaigns like this. Microsoft really don't need to advertise, they are the standard 'go to guys' of computing. Its like advertising oxygen.
A buddy of mine bought one and was excited about for the first few weeks, only to complain and regret for months not having bought a pc because of all the non software available software for mac.
The Best Buy employees in this commercial look as clueless as the ones in real life. Quite different from the geniuses they're made out to be in BB ads.
yup.. you get a computer when you buy a PC and you get a computer + an Apple logo when you buy a mac. amazing how much more a computer with an apple logo on it cost!
Windows should start selling Apple logos that can be affixed to their PCs if that's all that matters, because there's just something about those magical glowing Apple logos that make computers actually work well.
That magical glowing Apple logo does actually comes with something that PCs don't come with. A pass to be a member of the overly obnoxious Apple cult. ;-)
True. I guess people just tend to become obnoxious and devoted customers when they get a quality product for their hard earned money. It also makes customers obnoxious and devoted when they can resell their macs 3 years down the line for a solid price, rather than, as happens with PCs, which lose much of their value the moment you drive them off the lot.

Finally, an effective PC Ad! And I bet the production of this ad was a lot cheaper than those Jerry Seinfeld commercials.
