We've known for a while something was different, and he's been getting speech therapy and special education.. He's almost 3 now and start a special preschool program. It's very trying, but I feel blessed to have him in my life.

We later realized that he had written down the license plate numbers of every car that normally parked on our street. He made that list while 95% of those cars were gone for the day...
A neighbour-kid of mine was so pretty and smart when he was young; later he kept to be smart but turned out to be autistic and schizo... He now profits from hompathy (yes, I also thought earlier that this is rubbish-but it's that helpful-for ev.one!!!). I went to high school with Nick, and Autistic Savant. He's brilliant... And funny, too. He memorized the phone book. I'm not kidding. On the bus (yes, 'bus'. I didn't drive in ninth grade. If you did, you probably failed one or two grades) he'd recite our names, phone numbers, and addresses from a dead dig, then recite the "Brady Bunch" theme, backwards. Why the 'Brady Bunch"? I have no idea. Anyway, he excelled in a lot of 'normal' classes, too. Better than the slackers did, that's for sure.

As the father of two sons with autism, one non-verbal, I just wanted to offer my thanks. So many people say that we must find a cure for autism. Cure vs. changing who our kids are… a paradox we all face as parents. My two boys are the happiest two kids you will ever meet. The trick is to change the world (acceptance) so that special part of them never changes. Your informative video helps and should be a mandatory view for all.

He was developing fine until just before his second birthday. We got him diagnosed and therapy is really helping him.

I have a problem of filtering the way i talk/act to others and have some other symptoms of autisium. When i was diagnosed many years ago they weren't sure what i had and assumed i was fine.

I went to high school with Nick, and Autistic Savant. He's brilliant... And funny, too. He memorized the phone book. I'm not kidding. On the bus (yes, 'bus'. I didn't drive in ninth grade. If you did, you probably failed one or two grades) he'd recite our names, phone numbers, and addresses from a dead dig, then recite the "Brady Bunch" theme, backwards. Why the 'Brady Bunch"? I have no idea. Anyway, he excelled in a lot of 'normal' classes, too. Better than the slackers did, that's for sure.

As the father of two sons with autism, one non-verbal, I just wanted to offer my thanks. So many people say that we must find a cure for autism. Cure vs. changing who our kids are… a paradox we all face as parents. My two boys are the happiest two kids you will ever meet. The trick is to change the world (acceptance) so that special part of them never changes. Your informative video helps and should be a mandatory view for all.

He was developing fine until just before his second birthday. We got him diagnosed and therapy is really helping him.
