I'm with you too, LHDC! I've only been natural for a year and a half, and I almost cut my hair because I loved my fro so much (awkward grow out stage - NOT fun), but now that it's chin length in it's natural state, I'm really liking it again. I can do a lot more with it now. SO, I prefer to wear it curly and I think like you, if it is apl in its natural state, it'll be about wl stretched. Go O.W.L!

been following your journey over the past year.i just cut the end 5-6 inches of my relaxed ends. so now i have 3-4 inches of natural hair.i just figured out i'm no longer a transitioner. my hair goals for 2012 are hair health and length retention.i also have a hair journal where i write my notes and observations. good luck on your hair goals and i'll be following you for 2012!

I have the same hair length goal. I just want to do wash and go's and have my hair falling down to APL by its own. I'm too lazy to always stretch it :)

I'm going to be on this journey with you. I'm fully apl (shortest layer) curly at my but pulled straight. I want to see if I can get to waist length when fully dry and curly. Not sure about doing videos to document because I'm prone to cutting. If I follow you I may be able to achieve.

@jemy1415 well, i did my staple products...i may do a video or two on aspects of my regimen...my routine is so NOT routine so it's just hard to bring it all together and say "this is my regimen" when the only thing that truly stays consistent is using a leave in lol

but the OWL updates will include how often i shampoo'd, DC'd, co-wahsed etc so i can provide better insight to what i'm doing to my hair on a regular basis...ok i rambled. lol

Ok! Can't wait to see the results. I've been trying to obtain BSL forever (and then, eventually WL) but I kept having "setbacks." Luckily, I think I've finally reached BSL (last time I checked, I was just grazing it. I'm in yarn twists so I can't check now). So, on the OWL ;o)

I believe you can do it. I can't wait to see a video for that goal being achieved. I too am on a hair journey but I'm going past waist length. I've seen a lot of naturals on youtube achiéve waistlength so I'm aiming a lil higher. I'm rooting for you longhairdontcare. Like obama said yes we can.

I'm on the same journey with you child!!!:).. Mid last year I was having excessive split end issues even though I never used heat more than once every two months..I did search and destroys until like 4 inches were gone!! Nonetheless it seems to be acting right now I'm 2-3 inches from BSL ..WL has been my goal since day one!! I feel why wear extensions when I know I can get my own hair there.. Not think!!

I would love to join you my goal is to be at wl by 2014. I have to have a sew in twice a year but once I get to wl I am going to try and stay away from weave. Btw you'll be at wl in no time your hair looks as if it grows fast.

@letsgrow85 we'll see...it has certainly taken off since i BC'd in February. now all i gotta do is keep it growin steady and it'll be all good.

and how do you handle those sew ins? i did that recently and BAY-BEH... you'll be there in no time! there's a video i recently watched where the lady used weaves to grow her hair and her hair got to WL in no time so i'm sure you'll be there long before 2014!
