Gay rights marches in San Francisco used to be really scary to kids. Angry, yelling, barely clad men in clown facepaint. Loud and in your face. Enough to make an entire generation of children into homophobic adults.
@supremequeen and other if the parents felt good about bringing there children to a protest about there parents love so be it because if they didn't want them to experience it they would have never went to expose it to there children. I felt that they did a great job on explaining the whole concept of being who they and others are to the children.
If you guys could tell me, i dont know how to find out aobut things like marches because i can't stand to watch the news, and i seem to always find out late. if you guys know of how i could become an activist, i live in indianapolis, IN, please let me know

There were many other children at the rally from both straight and gay parents. My niece has been to a few and we always try to explain why we are marching ahead of time.

I was also deeply bothered by the fact that the media outlets failed to cover the Equality March (eg. CNN), which seemed 9to me!0 to send the message that we are not important. *sigh* But, here in Iowa the local news was informed of Pagan Pride fest. last month and they didn't attend.

And I'm sure if either one of the two Intelligent kids decided they didn't know or understand why they were holding the sign they would ask. Wish I could have been there, but it wasn't advertised too well (it was a rather last-minute event, I have heard); and by the time it came to my attention there was no time to make plans to attend. I was also deeply bothered by the fact that the media outlets failed to cover the Equality March (eg. CNN), which seemed 9to me!0 to send the message that we are not important. *sigh* But, here in Iowa the local news was informed of Pagan Pride fest. last month and they didn't attend.
