  • Of all the places in the world, The Congo would be a great habitat for Dinosaurs. It's lush, warm and wet, much like the time of the Dinosaurs. It's also full of deadly creatures which would stall hunters from going in there. The paranoia is so great most people hunt in North America. Yeah, if there was a sustainable population with no real natural predators, this is easily possible. Not the Kasai Rex though, he's out of the question.

  • Anyone else find the background music creepy?

  • how many are there??? Were they seen in packs or no???

    It is probably a apatosaurus.

Don`t you think they should capture it, grab some Dna and start making more?????????

  • @kpei94 It believed to be a Saurapod dinosaur ( sorry for the spelling ) capturing it would be hard as hell, the natives say it is extremely territorial.

  • The music is freaking scary.

  • you people need to get a grip

  • natives said they saw it out of water.

  • Interesting video. If I may make a suggestion, though - in the future, when creating videos that document things considered pseudo-science, such as cryptids, use evidence, rather than artistic depictions. Things such as witness accounts or photos, as these are, generally, more captivating than drawings and paintings. Still, good video, and thank you for sharing. Definitely something to think about.

  • @TheAlexLHP that's the description of the habitat they live in is in a cave under water and they are very aggresive animals :D the natives are very protective of the info that goes out about them like the videos due to their beliefs there is perfect evidence to support its existence watch monster quest

  • bet it lives

  • Actually they've found, with sonar systems, a gigantic network of underground caves under the lake!

    That's really cool!

I really think that if some legend over the world is true, this is the one!

  • @TheAlexLHP,

    Which lake?

  • @sonofthedestroyer

    Lake Tele ofc.

  • @TheAlexLHP,

Really? Can you please send me more info? Thanks

  • @sonofthedestroyer

    Do I get a subscribe?

No im just kidding, actually thats about it, they've also seen large moving things on the bottom of the floods that leeds into and out from the lake, kind of a big chance that those big things are animals in the caves/in the floods... Pretty cool actually:D!

  • @TheAlexLHP,

Thanks but where did you hear about this? Which TV program? Website? etc

  • @sonofthedestroyer

Ehm, in diffrent places, a program from Nationaly Graphics, some websites etc...

  • Mokele-Mbembe is absolutely a real creature, no doubts! Dinosaurs never went extinct.

  • Lol these types of dinosaurs died off before the other dinosaurs. Its a myth that goes on for centurys, people there havent even seen a white person before. They are just mistaken what they see for something else. Some tribes still think ther is dinosaurs still living in the world. Its fake people....

  • @GraffitiMaster13 Actully Sauropods live duntil the late cretaceous Alamosaurus lived alongside T.Rex and Triceratops infact one of the biggest Dinosaurs lived in the early cretaceous. BTW it isn't a myth the pygmies regard it as a living animal as real as a Monkey or Elephant.

  • @Mike55loveshisgecko cool story bro. There shouldnt just be a small population if they were alive all these years. Seriously kid your an idiot this is just another cryptid that will never be found

  • @GraffitiMaster13 Dude type in Alamosaurus and Argentinosaurus

  • @Mike55loveshisgecko Dude type in EXTINCT that should give you the answer you want.

  • @GraffitiMaster13 Ah yes a skeptic who just blindly assumes anything.

1.This ain't some red-neck reporting it these are natives who live and hunt in the congo.

2.Type in Coelecanth and read the first 5 articles.

3.Don't try to be a smart-ass when your username is something against the law.

  • @GraffitiMaster13 1.Type in Coelecanth you'll see why i believe this 2.It ain't Americans reporting this its Natives who live in the Congo 3.Don't try to act like a smart-ass your the one with something illegial on his user name.

  • @Mike55loveshisgecko Lol ohh wowwowow big man. Its illegal and no i dont do graffiti retard. Natives of the congo are so far back in time, Why would any one believe what they say

  • @GraffitiMaster13 I wouldn't call myself a retard when the Natives have no reason to make someting up. Herp Derp.

  • iam readin a book about cryptid its called tentacles by roland smith. And they found mokele mbmbe eggs in the congo first book though is cryptid hunters

  • It would be the story of the century if they found a living dinosaur in the heart of Africa.

  • I believe that technology is the key. Hopefully, we will be taking night vision binoculars, game cameras, sonar and infra-red. Making the technology work for us would be a big step forward. The animals themselves are solitary, semi-aquatic and dangerous if provoked. Whether or not they are sauropods remains to be seen. Hopefully, we'll bring back something better next time than just mere stories! Keep your finger crossed.

  • Imagine a swamp the sixe of Arkansas, full of highly venomous snakes, biting & stinging insects, extrme humitiy, diseases ot all kinds that tax your strength and endurance every day. Little wonder that it is mainly the native groups that only see Mokele-mbembe - they are the only ones who live there. The human population thins out the deeper you go, to about one person every 5kms. Its a very tough place to spend even a few weeks, but we are hoping for a breakthrough......

  • Is that Phil Collins?

  • This is all engineered for tourists, Amazon, Loch Ness, New Guinea, Texas, Malaysia, Australia, they tell the natives to say they have seen living dinosaurs and people will flock there and find nothing. These 'legends' don't stretch back 1000 years they go back a hundred. In this case we know from fossils of sauropods and fossilised tracks they were herd animals that lived on land and were not loners that lived in swamps.

  • @ganados0 - There are no "tourists" in that area. The journey to the Congo/Cameroon border is a dangerous undertaking. Most vehicles there are barely roadworthy and the roads are nothing but narrow muddy tracks cutting throught the forest with a high death toll. In the area of interest, There are 17 different names given to this same animal, from tribes that differ considerably from one another in cultural -makeup, languages, religious beliefs and tribal structure. ....

  • @ganados0 -This vast area comprises 800,000 square miles of seasonally inundated swamp, forest, rivers and lakes. Very little of this area has been explored. Gabon is still 80% unexplored and the Likouala Swamps of the Republic of the Congo still remains largely untouched. Reports of “dinosaur” like long necked animals inhabiting the swamps, rivers and lakes of the Central African Republic, Sudan, Uganda and Zambia have persisted since the 1700s, long before the "tourists' had arrived!

  • @ganados0 - This general area is populated by over 59,589,631 people, speaking a total of 729 different ethnic and tribal languages. Very few of these groups and settlements, have any regular contact with one another. In Cameroon, there is over 279 tribal languages In the Republic of the Congo, 51different native tongues are spoken, compared to 242 in the DR of the Congo, 40 in Gabon and 34 in Guinea, with hundreds more across central Africa. ...

  • @ganados0 - There are also several different pygmy tribes sprerad over five central African countries with their own cultures who speak a variety of different languages. Once again, the notion that from time to time, that differing groups of pygmies from all backgrounds sharing stories about a giant hippo killing, plant eating monster that inhabits the rivers, lakes and swamps over a vast area, simply to attract tourists to such inhospitable places is highly unlikely in the extreme.

  • @ganados0 - We have interviewed a wide variety of first-hand eye-witnesses from a variety of tribal and cultural backgrounds. They all describe exactly the same kind of animal and draw an image of the animal on the ground prior to being shown our illustrations. Our test cards revealed that regardless of the tribe, language or religious/cultural beliefs, they have never seen a bear, moose, or a beaver before. But, the elephants, hippo and the crocodile were recognized immediately.

  • @ganados0 - About 98% of our dinosaur illustrations were rejected with the exception of the sauropods and the ceratopsians. The only other “prehistoric” animals that were picked out with any consistancy was the Arsinotherium ( likened to a twin-horned river dwelling elephant killer) and the Thalattosuchian, an early crocodilian with a fish-like tail that is occasionally caught in the rivers of Cameroon by the natives. I can tell you that there is no "Kasai Rex" or T-rex's running around,

  • @ganados0 - There have been a handful of Western eye-witnesses who have observed these animals since the 1910. They include a Knight of the Realm, a British Aristocratic big game hunter, two British engineers and two big game hunters (one South African and the other French). Given the remoteness of the areas in the animals are reputed to live, very few Westerners venture there even today.

  • @ganados0 Missonaries from the early 1700s reported seing them long before tourism.

  • @Mike55loveshisgecko They also reported seeing mermaids, krakens & unicorns. Shit, some of them believe to have seen trolls and faeries. Your comment proves nothing.

  • It could be possible, I mean, a lot of Congo's rain forest has never been seen by people. Creatures like this could still be around. They say it's the size of a small elephant and well, shit, most people never notice elephants when in forests until they're chargin' at 'em.

  • it's funny beacause when they described this animal, they didn't find any fossils . do these animals still exist? it would be nice and very esclarecedor

  • also nown as a sauropaud i read the book cryptid hunters by rick roland and its about twins going to lake tele got to read

  • my theory is its a mammal not a dinosaur maybe a type of long necked rhino kind of like an okapi in body shape but with a slightly longer neck and it lives in the rivers and streams which lead into lac tele and its little seen becuase its solitary and it snorkles its way along the bottom and maybe only comes out of the water at night like the hippo,so its an unknown to science long necked rhino that behaves like a hippo if that makes sense =)

  • drunken fist do you have any idea of how large Congo and its forests are ?

  • This is real. It was on Monster Quest

  • good !!!!

  • kent hovind proves dinosaurs still exist watch my videos

  • many local people believe the creature to be a spirit rather than a physical being, claims for its authentic existence have been fabricated...

  • @hogasea,

Rubbish. Spiritual creatures and beings can manifest in this physical dimension.

  • @sonofthedestroyer

    Nah, you'r wrong.

  • maybe he can exist if he really lives in lakes

  • if you read Roy Mackals books, you will see the villagers are scared of this beast. crocs and hippos avoid it too. they it is half dragon half elephant. even if it was found and captured, it would not be ALLOWED to get headlines. we know why of course.

  • Well said i ve got some of mackals books as well. Its suppose to be a hippo killer.Whatever kind of creature it is its very powerfull.

  • @MyTarkin why?

  • Dude they already know of a living dinosaur its called a Tuatara. Living descendants of Dinosaurs...

  • It is possible. They found fresh bone marrow in t-rex skeletons. Bone marrow can stay fresh for a thousand years. Maybe there's a t-rex in the congo, like the kasai rex.

  • When you find fresh dino flesh, you dont ask, how can it stay fresh this long? you just say, dinos did not die out long ago and far away.

  • thats the stupidest thing i heard honestly mb the whole dinosaurs civilization is alive in congo xD

  • not all of them just sighting of the long neck

  • not that stupid...i hardly see whats funny, the story adds up...

  • @TheTyrannosaur Sorry to spil your fun but Tyrannosaurs never lived in Africa sorry but facts are facts.

  • @TheTyrannosaur Who found fresh bone marrow in t-rex? [citation required]

I have never seen so many "some have said", "might possibly be" and "maybes" in my life. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. All I see here are cartoon pictures.

  • ha ha as a kid i thought dinosaurs were out there somewhere.

I do belive that dinosaurs are real cuz the congo jungle is realy dense and its unexplored

  • Why would you think that they are not real in the first place? Oh, right you went to school. ok nvm

  • dude i just said there real the congo jungle is 80% unexplored teritory.

Dont you know abot the mountain gorrila or the coeleocanth.

  • I was being sarcastic, but thats ok :)

  • even i was being sarcastic why will i answer something gainst the truth that evry one know not 1 person if you get it,

  • u say it mo-kay-le-em-bem-bay

  • How to you say this things name?

  • lol Earth's heat...is going UP brah

  • Its confirmed that the swimming animal is an elephant ^^.

  • Actually the confirmation of this photo was incorrect. To keep from scaring the people of the Congo, it was said that the swimming animal was an elephant. When this photo was released, the people were terrified to leave their homes so the photo was said to be an elephant.

  • Yeah, an elephant. The people that know their animals more than any one of us are telling us what they saw. What a ridiculous idea... an elephant. I really don't think that a tribe that is trained to kill large animals would be scared of this so called vicious man eating elephant. Baha! Horrible excuses from typical evolutionists denying the truth once again. Elephant, love the excuses... keep em coming guys.

  • great song! what's the title or genre of it? :|

  • its from the tomb raider legend game. it is the Hymalayas theme

  • no wonder it sounded so familiar lol

  • too many eye witness acounts. This is real. Shows that Dinosaurs did not die off or evolved off millions of years ago.

  • Mokele Mbembe is by far the most exciting cryptid prospect.

The tribal people of the region were often called 'delusional' by outsiders for claiming that Gorillas and Okapis existed. Soon the so called experts had to swallow their arrogance. Same with Mokele. It is only a matter of time. It would be nice if more expeditions were organised but money and permission to venture into a war torn zone is such a nuisance

  • it's very possible that unknown species of animals could live in the congo region, especially around lake tele, but very unlikely something the size of a dinosaur could be there.... even if it is a small dinosaur.

  • @chipmunkprincess13 Actully it could the Congo is one of the most un-explored places seing that it and the Ocean are the last great fronteirs for us.

  • people say the only photo of mokele has him very small and it is hard to see, but i still believe because what about the moon? it is also very small try taking a photo. but when you get up close its very big.

  • I would definitely believe that Mokele Mbembe is real.

I mean c'mon, the jungles of Congo there are still undiscovered territory and you just never know what strange creatures you may encounter. But even I wouldn't dare go looking for it.

  • i would love to believe it but sadly, with Earth`s cool temperature cannot support such a large cold blooded animal

  • dude earths heat is going UP

  • Yes, but we've reportedly been through a couple of ice ages.

  • its in congo

  • to answer drunkenmonkey's question, it is a huge reigon around lake tele, and it is very heavy forest, so there are lots of noises. Besidees, you cant just waltz around the jungle and find one specific animal, it isnt that easy

  • Well, it should be noted that a giant goanna is alot more likely, seeing as to the untrained eye, both would look the same.

  • i think its more Mokele-Mobombe

  • 0:38 Such a great picture!! It's my biggest dream to see a living dinosaur!!

  • how can something that big hide and be quite when moving it's footsteps should sound like thunder shouldn't be that hard to find it if it is real

  • some have said that it make the sound of thunder when it moves but most of the time its in the water or swampy areas.

  • I just watched sum vid of sum psychic and he said this creature does not exist it was a hoax the tracks were elephants they just made them bigger so it will look like dinosuar tracks not trying to be an asshole on this just saying

  • Mokele Mbembe is certainly real. The native people describe it too accurately. They know better than even Paleontogists do. They know about its appearance, its dietary habits, its migration patters, breeding cycles, where the young grow up, what animals it does not like.

The specifically emphasise that it hates hippos and will kill them. So i doubt it is an elephant.

  • I am in agreement with this person Nobody knows more about what animals exist in the local area's than the local native people themselves who've lived there and witnessed them. its unfair and ignorant for someone to say that they don't exist when they don't live around there nor been there long enough to see it for themselves. I am going give the native people benefit of doubt

  • Indeed, if elephants can hide underground, why not a dinosaur-like creature?

  • Anotehr thing peeps are forgetting as they are said to like to dwell in swamps and travel under water so yeah its likely their not going to be seen to often specially if the rivers and lakes back there are deep enough to completely submerge them. and what do peeps know about dinosaurs? nothing cause they never really witnessed a living ones behavior. only igornat guesses alot of times. so it living in swamps and water area's highly plausible

  • I believe more in Mokelembebe than I do psychics.

  • @drunknmonkeyfist most people believe the Mokelé Mbembé lives underneath the swamp water.

  • @drunknmonkeyfist because animals are smarter than you think lol

  • Coooooool....

  • Honest scientists are beginning to come out of their shells now. Recently it was admitted that dinosaurs may have been incorrectly portrayed in terms of their size and body shape.

They are finally beginning to admit that they have been fabricating alot of stuff about dinosaurs and passing it off as 'facts'

  • "no more room on Noahs Ark."...RIOT!!!

  • Dinosaur is a relative term. The Komodo dragon was called a Dinosaur because the arrogant scientists thought it did not exist anymore. Soon as it was proven to exist, suddenly it is no longer a dinosaur. You can bet that crocodiles would also be called dinosaurs if they were not proven to exist.

But there is a limit. A sauropod or plesiosaur existing today will once and for all destroy much of dogmatic nonsense maquerading as science. They cant suddenly say they are not dinosaurs

  • whats the name of this song?

  • It is the Himalayas Theme from Tomb Raider Legend

  • lol i love how the music is from the tomb raider game

  • you'd think people would atempt to explore the Congo but theres too many dangours you'd need alot of money to do it, then moving equipment, then stuff that want to eat you and those buggers with spears and all

  • Perfect place for a dino to hide on land

  • god you are fucking ignorant. stop typing.

  • It's a joke dumbass, look at the big man who can swear speak kindly and others will speak kindly back, as you failed FUCK YOU!

  • It would be really awesome if this creature existed, and I wish it did, but I seriously doubt it. Other than eye witness reports, there isn't a shred of evidence for it.

  • are u kidding

  • that was just pictures of dinosaurs,

    needs some work.

  • could be a diplosaurus or a brontosaurus but ı dont know could be hoax too...

  • My favorite cryptid's is Bigfoot/Sasquatch and Mokele Mbembe, and massivebl00d type in monster quest on google and it says the upcoming episodes with one called "The Last Dinosaur" which might be the episode of mokele - mbembe.

  • Monsterquest is doing an episode on Mokele Mbembe. It has been confirmed by cryptomundo webiste.

But Monsterquest are half baked. They deliberately avoid showing real evidence

  • Why you think MonsterQuest are avoiding real evidence? Is it the American Government like they do not want us to know there are real UFOs? I think MQ is better than Destination Truth that is aired on SCIFI Channel. Josh Gates is really cocky ego who thinks oh, there it is!! kind of attitude. MQ is more realistic.

  • Comment removed

  • this is my favorite cryiptid man i cant wait til monster quest goes looking for it!!

  • monster quest actually didgo looking for it but they got a complete and fucking idiot to do the job so we outta luck there huh?

  • I heard that a team of archeologists were digging in a desert, one of them cracked a (big) rock open and a pteradactyl stepped out, fell over, and died. Talk about being buried alive.

  • dude holy crap that would be amazing but alas they are prob stupid people trying to make cash off an amazing story.

P.S. im not saying it didnt happen!

  • Living dinosaurs? What's going to come next.? King Kong?

  • yes.

When you think about it it's hard to swallow that ALL the dinosaurs went extinct.

And the kongo rivers makes sense because it was still warm during the ice age.

But, I don't really beleive it... deep down...

  • I would have to agree with you.

  • you don't see air but you know it exist. whether there is a proof that this beast exist or not it doesn't matter. let's all keep an open mind in this. remember, years ago people don't believe that the giant squid exist even though people claim to have seen them. and now that there is proof, everyone knows/believes they exist. humans are the most intelligent creature but we don't know even a half of earth's mysteries.

  • it's possible, dinosaurs lived in a tropical climate, and africa is usally centered round it's savanna, 20% of congo's rainforest has not been seen by humans

  • I think it's a little more than 20%, but I'm not sure.

  • @craigosbournes

I doubt that would be enough space to hold a GROUP of animals that have apparently survived the major extinction and extinction by selectio. Climate and geography alone doesn't help your case.

as of today and 10 years back, Mokele Mbembe doesn't exist people.

it's possible? remotely, is it probable? nooooo way.

I mean the ocean is a large place for celocanth and megamouth, but plz, the congo is a small place compared to the world ocean.

    there is no prehistoric relic

  • mokele mbembe rocks! Although, I still wouldn't want to meet a Mokele Mbembe.

  • djuuwi - BTW, Google the book, In Search of Mokele-mbembe - A Living Dinosaur? It is avery interesting read.

  • djuuwi - The International Scoiety of Cryptozoology is a body of qualified scientists - most of them evolutionists who believe that there is an out5side chance that a small-medium sized sauropod could have survived if the conditions are right. The swamps of Equalorial Africa may be such as place. Dr. Roy P. Mackal, a biologist from the University of Chicago wrote probably the best book on the subject. If you Google him you can read most of the book for free.

  • There is something big and powerful living in the congo for it kills hippos.Thats pretty impressive. Some say it could be a very large monitor lizard.I wouldnt rule out a sauropod. You never know

  • I feel its best to keep an open mind. Im not saying that these things definitely exist but it would be rather interesting to see.

  • This incident when the Pymies erected a barrier and then fought the animal when it tried to get through, is most likely true. I didnt know so many paintings of it existed

  • and then they killed it and all who ate its meat soon died

  • I am 100% certain it is a true story.

Very soon these animals will be proven beyond any doubt. It has been frustrating for the believers. But it will pay off.

The mountain Gorilla, Okapi etc were ridiculed by the establishment for decades until finally they had to swallow it.

  • I would love to believe that there is a dinosaur living in the African jungle, but come on. What are the chances that there is a sauropod surviving for millions of years without any proof of its excistence? There should be many fresh dinosaur bones lying all over the place AND there has to be a big number of them to sustain the population so they can survive for millions of years. The chances are tiny to zero that this is real. And that's too bad because I absolutely love dinos...

  • What are the chances?

    Almost 100% i would say.

Proof is not a simple matter. There are so many complex factors involved.

World is not a goldfish bowl. That mentality arises from living an indoor life with TV and scientists who think they know everything when in reality they no hardly anything

  • Hey, I would love to believe it too, but you have to be realistic and 100% is not realistic unless you have seen them with your own eyes. Some people believe in the Loch ness monster and I am not one those people who will believe every story someone will tell just because I would like to believe it's true..

  • There are legit reasons for me to believe that Dinosaurs did not go extinct 65 MYA. There are several reasons. It is not based on blind faith. Infact it is the total opposite.

  • Yes, crocodiles are dinosaurs, birds are dinosaurs according to research. But Sauropods? Are you seriously telling me with a 100% certainty that there are living sauropods on earth today? Where is the proof??? Everybody has reasons, but where is the proof?

  • Total bullshit. Why do people believe in this stuff?

  • Why on earth did you watch this then?

  • I thought the same thing

  • People believe it for the same reason people believed in the mountain gorilla and the giant squid before they were discovered by science. Because of eye-witness reports over many decades. Why wouldn't you believe it? It isn't impossible to find unknown species. In fact, it happens all the time.

  • So just because scientists discovered mountain gorillas and giant squids I have to believe that there's a living dinosaur roaming around? I'm usually open minded, but I'll pass on that one.

  • At 0:21 you can see that it has a HUGE head. So it is unlikely to be a snake (unless it is a monster snake over 100 feet long).

That head you can compare to the size of the tops of the trees.

  • There have been snakes about that size reported in Africa & South America

  • What is the name of this song?

  • It is the Himalayan Theme from the Video Game Tomb Raider: Legend

  • Which Tomb Raider? I reckon it sounds better for your video than TOmb Raider!

  • Tomb Raider: Legend. Its the scene where she is in the Himalayan mountains looking for her plane that crashed when she was a child.

  • Yes i found it eventually. Tomb Raider Legend the 1st Nepal theme.

I stopped playing tomb raider after the 3rd game. The music on the new versions seems much better.

As for the snake, a giant one was photographed in Borneo from the air but was dismissed as photoshop although it may be real

  • I think all of this is so interesting. why would villager make this up? they have nothing to gain. We need to start thinking outside the Logic box that we live in.

  • tyrone9009 (3 weeks ago),

Indeed! Many of these tribal people dont really like outsiders and therefore they are not trying to attract tourists (like say in Loch Ness maybe). And such a thick impenetrable jungle surely hides some weird creatures?

  • You suck man...

  • niice video!

  • Thanxs

  • Love the music.
