  • Censorship is rising and

the expression of the freedom of speech is

    sinking!

Not once but TWICE, youtube's "team of monkeys," wiped away an entire thread of comments. GONE, deleted and now "comments disabled."

Moral of the story is save your comments if they are of import!

  • Until, I can clear up the matter, I'm have to assume it was the owner of the video that deleted all the comments.

I was under the wrong impression that I knew the owner of the video - turns out, I don't.

FWIW, I don't want to wrongly accuse youtube of censorship if there's doubt.

  • See what happens when I spend my day in the cold? It's 23:36 & I just now lit up my link to the other outside. So I'll hear the song sung & get back w/my take on how it hits me.

  • The comments I saw were many months old.

  • "You kissed the feet of a holy man you climbed the mountain and now you're back again So did he give you the master plan? Some bad advice, an account in Switzerland chorus Say your prayers, crawl on your hands and knees, bow down to Your God, not mine-Save your temple and save your den of thieves-it belongs to Your God-not mine Now you're launching some mystical messages misguided missiles like birds into the blue drifting over a promised land a trial of smoke and they disappear from view"
  • Original? Regardless, I like it. Thank you for posting it.

  • no, not original, sorry about that.

Not much original, originating from this one!

    Here's the song:

Icehouse - Your God (not mine)

  • KenE, a quick comment about this controversial song.

Like all great songs, it's understanding will be different as it's filtered and given meaning by our limited experience. Afterall, sometimes, that's the best we can do - call on what knowledge is already present in our data bank to "figure it out." So, unless we accept some other's interpretation, the songs meaning is personal.

For me, the message is clear - "warpigs."

I choose to reject the claim that the song is about an illness.

  • First I listened w/the screen blank. Then I listened w/the video full screen 27" wide HD. Then I listened again w/the screen blank.

I heard him talking to his friend who had recently acquired religion. The reference of packed & ready to go made me think of xtian end timers. The photos & the cosmological reference(from the poster,) which xtian fundies don't admit, ending in a different end indicates the poster shares my view. Your god Christ is not my god.

  • I missed the big haired bands as they came out as I was doing my best to go off grid. If it wasn't for my decade younger brothers I would have missed Pink Floyd. Made up for it by being @ private parties where The Grateful Dead & Gordon Lightfoot showed up. He played my Epiphone & wanted it. My music groove moved into 6 table nite clubs. As a teen I had a free pass to all the major bands that hit Houston (they all did) from Segovia to the Doors. Back stage. All access. Cont...

  • B.B. King & Janis Joplin to the Animals. Roger Whittaker & Opera to Arthur Brown & Dylans only appearance in town. And every summer weekend, free concerts in the parks from classical @ Herman Park(Glen Campbell once) to some raw funky music from bands that lasted 3 weeks or came a cropper like 3 Dog Night & those 3 w/the big beards(old age strikes again!) The trouble w/the net is no excuse other than the lack of time.

  • TexanCyclist, you wrote: "those 3 w/the big beards(old age strikes again!)" ZZ Top maybe? "The trouble w/the net is no excuse other than the lack of time." can't disagree... There's so much talent; well, if "tweren't for the "net," we'd never "see." Club Manhattan -- Jesse Winchester watch?v=_sJVPYK6e34 (TC, your Epiphone- sparks a memory of Elvin Bishop)
  • Between signing off & sawing some zz's their 1name finally came to me. You nailed it. They barely had beards back then.

That 6 string got craved by everyone who touched her. Action so low you almost couldn't feel the strings & the strangest box: Mellow when the song called; Bright when needed. Made even me sound like a musician.

  • TC, you live in Texas and you're seeing how hard your skies are being hit. Is the ground rumbling yet?

    Stay alert my friend,

there's ill "blowin in the wind-"

Enki and Enlil are at it again!

    12-2-08

  • Chemicals cloud my skies, the wind blows hard & the ground is dry. A burn ban in December cries a note of sad despair. A future of nothing but embers brings a sadness to the air. I'm hunkered down & bundled up, but still my spirit flies.

  • Epiphone in future video?

We have a basic conditioning, probably in some form of Christian religion, of which little remains today but its ethical content, or in one of the modern psychologies, that of Freud, Adler, or Jung, or in some scientific discipline, all of which are fundamentally and implacably dualist. Then the [seeking] urge manifests, and we start reading. Every time we happen on a statement or sentiment that fits in with our conditioned notions we adopt it w/enthusiasm, at the same

  • time ignoring, as though they did not exist, the statements or sentiments which either we did not like or did not understand.

And every time we re-read the Masters or the sutras we seize upon further chosen morsels, as our own jig-saw puzzle builds up within us, until we have a personal patchwork that corresponds with nothing on Earth that could matter in the least. Not in a 1000 million kalpas could such a process produce the essential understanding that the urge is obliging us to seek TG Gray

  • Someone liberated her from me. Can only hope she found a loving home.

  • I noticed the flags - country in crisis - appropriate.

This video is a little wondering but not bad. I like the outdoor screens in the other videos more than the indoor background; I understand that it does not change the argument, but the image is important to get the ideas through...

You did not mention Bahia - it is the religion of the lower ranks of the NWO and UN - it takes all religions and says - OK.

  • Days are so short & my priorities are not Y.T. related. By the time I've time to put ideas on film, dark has come. While I could light up the outside, I choose a more frugal existence.

First I've heard about Bahia & I try to restrict my wonderings to things of which I have @ least a semblance of knowledge. That sounds more like anything goes. Not so much a religion as a whatever you believe to get out of jail free card.

  • i believe there are things that the human brain simply cannot comprehend.

    theory=/=fact

  • Agree, yet we may comprehend more as our intellect grows.

True , but theory postulates experimental possibilities which can be tested. Einstein recently had one of his thought experiments confirmed. Took 80 years for technology to catch up, but once the tools became available, his "theory" came a bit closer to becoming fact. I'm betting the Hadron allows for even more.

  • hehe.

...or it takes a big chunk out of the planet, and throws Earth out of orbit.

    xD

  • Well, no new black holes as of yet! @ least none to be seen other than the one swallowing up the economy.

  • Great video. Good points.

I was really depressed right after the election. I knew how it was gonna go, but once it was there I just felt like I was carrying a stone on my head. Made worse by the pro-Obama hysteria that seems to have rendered some very intelligent people senseless.

But hey, what else can I do but smile and go about my day?

  • Thank you.

Yeah, I'd intended to break off politics for a while, still hope to, but just before recording, I got my daily dose of Amy G. & hearing that Ron Israel Emmanuel was his first choice & pick for staff was something I couldn't let by w/out comment.

Now, I'm gonna go get a fish for dinner. ;^)

  • I guess I am an anti-theist in how describe it. People forget our bodies are made of matter and energy which does not disappear upon death.

  • While evolution has not been proven outright 100%, but it sure is more logical then a genie blinking and making people appear.

  • Lots more evidence for it than agin it! cdk007here on the youtube has some excellent videos reducing the math to laymen terms.

  • I do not need to have it proven to me I am good.

  • Wooo Hooooo!!! Love the flags!!!!

Apparently you haven't listened to CSN's "Almost Cut My Hair" recently....

I'm so glad to be back on YT so I can hear your wonderful words...

    Peace My Dear Friend...

  • Reminders as I leave my nest that the world outside is hurting.

Don't bother cutting what is thining day by day.

How's the Rocky Mntn State treating you?

  • "How's the Rocky Mntn State treating you?"

Like a fish out of water......

It's certainly a new way of life....

  • Spent a year in Telluride. Got a lifetime's worth of snow!
