That house was a vacant repo when it hit. Big house doesn't really mean big money. For a while it had hurricane Katrina people in it. And btw, I do donate to the poor. We get storms like that a lot.

one time there was a thunderstorm in my town, i wasnt aware of it because i was sleeping, and i am a heavy sleeper, and a lightning bolt hit very close to my house, with the combination of a bright flash, a loud boom, and a shockwave that made my stuff go flying off my shelves and violently shake my bed, i thought that our town was nuked and i just got hit by the shockwave, I was so freaked out!
Wow that's fricken amazing footage! The sky is almost constantly lit up. The close one is so intense.. makes me jump sitting here at a computer watching... can only imagine what it was like being there. Way to go man.. thanks for sharing.
The power in that house is off, as it is vacant. The red spot or flash is burning roof shingles flying off into the front yard, it made MY house alarm go off though!

Amazing lightning, we only get storms like that here in the UK about once every 5 years. Have not had one for a while. Maybe 2011 is our turn.
