That's a good point - I assumed that nobody "normal" would have gone out there and filled their boots with mud and water, so I guessed they had to e waearing taller boots than mine - ie Riding Boots or waders, but perhaps the person who went before was one of us and filled their boots!
It is so exciting in anticipation as you walk towards the mud in your clean Wellington Boots. You get to the edge with the first slight sink, your feet begin to disappear and you get that first slop-slurp as the mud begins to come up and coat your Wellington Boots, turning them glistening brown. Deeper & deeper - till both your boots are completely covered in lovely, soft, glistening MUD. Exciting or what?
It was really annoying, I was at least 3/4 of the way there but the mud was getting really deep and I've nearly got stuck before so just didn't want to risk going any further.
Slopping through soft mud in Wellington Boots - a huge turn-on for me. That initial moment when your clean boots first sink in , then you pull one out, glistening with mud, then the other, then sink them again - further - then you slop along watching them glisten and bend in the mud ..then you know what will happen very soon!! Best wearing shorts so that you can see your Wellington Boots movng freely against your legs. Soon everything is wet, legs & boots covered with lovely soft MUD!
Fantastic! I'd love to see more of this one. While I've also sunk to my knees in mud, it has always been very stickly mud and a struggle to splodge through, but your wellies just splodge through it like a knives through butter!
