  • that nasty crakeling sound as the rpms drop doesn't happen to my 3.8. its a 97' camaro 3.8 with pace setters a high flow magna flow cat, and the same magna flow pipes. mines a bit lower pitched but doesn't do that crackeling either...but hey not bad i guess.

  • yes it's def. about the quality... this 3.4 sounds better than every V6 I ever heard (even my 3.8 ^^) and even better than a lot of the V8 which are driving along the street...

  • I can tell your tailights are from a formula. Nice car man. Why did you get exhaust that big. The pipes are pretty big for a 3.4 could cause you to lose a lot of high in torque.

    The taillights were the original which were factory on firebird and trans ams here in europe!!

    not sure about the tq lost but you're right, the V6 need a little bit backpressure :)

  • the Trans Am is the one with the stock rims. Not all Trans Ams have the wing I though?!

  • They are called formulas lol without the high rise wings THe differnces is trans ams have a high rise wing better suspesion and handling. The only trans am that dont have high rise wings are convertables. Your formula is pretty much a T/A but check and see if you have x pipes or y pipes. I would prefer a formula they weigh less and they are not as hard to see over the wing

  • maybe there is a difference between the official imported cars (by dealer) in europe and the ones in the USA...

    Here, only the 98+ WS6-models have the wing...

    Early 4th Gen Trans Ams have the other frontbumper compared with the Firebird (or Formula) but the same rear.

    Exhaust and intake is also different compared with the US Birds... more restrictive...

  • Very true but the cars are hella expensive here. I wonder what a firebirs firehawk looks like there.

  • thats is weriod cause T/A's are supposed to have round fog lights but i like yours and mine they look better.

  • I do see your tail plate has Trans am on it. I am thinking GM did it to save money. Even tho it probably cost $20 extra but if they made 1 million that saved them lots of money.

  • god my 3.4 with flowmasters sounds better than this , i sure hope it is the quality lol
