I like this performance although Bryan smiles and over exaggerates his facial expressions, which made it kind of cheesy in my opinion. Their technique is very clean, sharp and developed which I loved. Great song choice as well. :)
Please post a video of you. Carmen was a brilliant dancer with Alan Tornsberg and was a Blackpool champion for 10 years with Bryan. You do not win Blackpool with one partner carrying the other.
Yes you do. It's called partnership. Joanne is currently carrying Michael pretty damn hard. There ain't a single male dancer in that final that is weaker than him (Okey, maybe Anton now). But that doesn't matter because they have a strong partnership. Or, okey, it should matter, but it doesn't. Politics and established status > dancing.
Also, Carmen's tehcnique is really just ok when we're talking about pro level. It's nothing astonishing, as much as I adore her.
@Vampirfreakgirl13: Carmen's technique is just okay, you must not know dancing. Yes, Bryan and Carmen were Blackpool champions but of more importance they were also unbeaten World Professional Latin Ballroom Champions for nine straight years from 1999 to 2007. They did not become unbeaten world champions with one partner being just okay. It took two brilliant dancers.
It took a brilliant male dancer and brilliant partnership. It didn't take a technicly brilliant female dancer. You must not know dancing. Even Lorraine Rohdin will admit to this!
I liked it ! It is not 2011 rumba! But for 2005, just great!

why those idolatry? -.-'
those two had a perfect technique, but many dancers have it. I think it's the connection between bryan and carmen who made them so perfectly.
but not every perfomance from them is oustanding - f.e. this one.
so common, be realistic not fanatic.

They are the best DANCERS!
Who needs technics if no dance?
Robots have the ideal technics. Who needs robot's dancing?
Who knows what is a "perfect connections"?
Somebody means it's a pull out hands from joints. May be. But we speak about dance - not a wrestling.
If you need to dance - just throw out any garbage from the head and DANCE!
Like Bryan and Karmen.
