Certainly not. And the examples I'm thinking of definitely had an abundance of activity, hard work, fresh air, and the "simple life". However, they almost never ate raw food or used any common health products. Lot's of meat, biscuits, coffee, tortillas, fried potatoes, eggs, etc. It just makes me think what's going on there. Perhaps certain factors are more important than food. Perhaps it's all genetic. (Of course almost always avoid anything processed in a factory if possible)
@MurdFlum When I lived in Silver City, NM I did a massage for a 102 year old woman. She and her family were ranchers. They had money, great genetics, clean air, plenty of food, ect. Her brother lived to be 98.
At least 90% of today's population is not ready for vegetarianism let alone veganism. For some, if you told them that they couln't go deer hunting any more, they would suffer major depression and then die. Why? Hunting is engrained in their genetics and taught to them early.
@MurdFlum This is not the same world as 100 years ago. Also, who gives a fuck about other people that live to be whatever age on whatever diet? The question is, WHAT DO I NEED RIGHT NOW? What do I WANT right now and in the future? Also, how long someone lives is not a measure of thier greatness anyway. A person could live 10 years and do something greater than someone 100 years old! Today I am focusing on my needs and desires. Right now I need to go take a crap and then go to the bank.
@lyndaraven@lyndaraven I just kep asking myself, "Can I eat a vegetable protein instead." If i could eat beans instead, I did. After 19 years of working on reducing the meat consumption and replacing it with beans, nuts and seeds I just finally kicked it for good. It took my body and mind a long time to adjust and even now, chicken smells good! lol. I can't go back though. I'm vegan for good. I do holistic consultations for just $30 for an hour on the phone or Skype.
YEA! hey thanks for the invite, friended and subed! just my kind of guy, im all over raw foods, meditation, natural health, and getting to know my higher self and connecting with/promoting positive thinking and motivation in others. love this vid, i have known about the brushing for a while now, think i'll start doing it!
I was a mostly raw vegan for over 4 years, At the end I couldn't even function, I felt great at first and lost over 60 lbs. but I should have been eating a small amount organic free range eggs for the cholesterol to form membranes around my cells. To be a vegan is a huge experiment that ignores all of homonid evolution, no human ancestor back to "Lucy" has ever even been vegetarian. the paleo diet is the way to go.
@Parkwoodparkenfarker You are pretty much right parkenfarker! Being vegan is an experiment and evolutionary advancement. I am probably the first vegan in my lineage! Think about how big that is. It's a huge push but still, I know I can't go back now. At least on a human/mortal level we are pushing the envelope. All I can tell you is that for the most part, my life, on all levels, is better than ever before. I achieved vegan in a 19 year time span. My body has adapted over that time.
@VitalityMassage I encourage anyone who has found health and peace in a lifestyle they choose to stick with it. What I find hard to accept are folks who think that vegan is the only way to good health and sustainability. If one wants to be a vegan for religous/"spiritual" reasons I feel happy for them. If one wants to be a vegan because they think it makes them better than others I feel sorry for them.
Well, yes, it works out because these types of events make you smarter, freeer, is that a word? more free, and more gutsy, luckier and more connected to Grace, so it actually enables you to make even more $.
$ just becomes A part of life and just flows in. Meanwhile you enjoy life to the fullest.
I'm also vegan as of this year and I'm so happy I finally understood how important it is! I feel amazing and my life is easier and better than ever. I'm so ecstaticly peaceful that people stare!
helpful. Just curious, how do you feel about things like marijuana, or Ayahuasca? I know they are totally different, but perhaps the same in the fact that they are from mother nature and are (hopefully) intended for healing the body and the mind.
I'm getting the brush you recommended. Your message is very clear, thank you.
@wisesakura I personally never enjoyed pot. I've never done Ayahuasca. A friend of mine likes it and does it whenever the shaman comes to town. She pays this facilitator like $300 or more for the gig. Of course she does have the $ and goes to all kinds of pricey gatherings.
How do you clean your skin brush? And how often do you clean it?

I'm all for Raw food and health, but then I read about these cowboys who live to be 94 and eat meat and potatoes all day. What up with that?

@MurdFlum Did you think that diet is the only factor for good health?

I eat organic meat, but would like to quit eating meat all together. How did you finally leave it alone completely.
