This is one of the most embarassing films I've ever seen. The whole series is basically the plot of "Star Wars" in Middle-earth with some Anne McCaffrey thrown in for good measure. How a series this unoriginal became so huge is beyond me.

This movie SUCKED. The Inheritance books are amazing, but this movie was nothing like the book. At all. The only reason anyone should watch this movie is to see Murtagh (Garrett Hedlund) partially take off his shirt.

HOWEVER... Jeremy Irons is amazing. And the fact that he beat up Eragon makes him my hero. I loved Brom. :)

And 0:44 gets me EVERY TIME.

Eragon the movie needed a better script. Ed Speleers and Jeremy Irons did a great job. The problem is that all those who have read the book knows that this movie is far away from being so good as the book. The plot is totally unfaithful to the story from the book and generally, all the characters aren't like they should be. But it has a good soundtrack and as I said before, the cats is great. (Although Galbatorix i kinda weird lol)

Irons was the only good part of the movie. Ok, Malkovich would've been great too, but they gave him such a shitty role; just three rants in the beginning, middle and end of the film. THAT'S why the movie sucked. Plus, the dwarves looked like hillbillies and the elves looked humanish. And they didn't have Hugo Weaving or Al Pacino in it, either.

I thought Robert Carlyle did quite a good job as Durza to be fair, what was mainly wrong was not the acting in this film, but how far it deviated from the storyline.
