I've got a problem with the keyboard. When I use it as a MIDI controller : the response time is off, I mean when i play a note it takes a split second to reproduce on my computer.Help?

@TutorialsByOZ Unfortunately, No. When I bought mine, it didn't come with the USB and I'm still looking for a USB for my keyboard. If you know where I could get one, please write back.

@HeroLyrical09 dude, you can get those cables on computer stores, just bring your manual and let em see the usb they should have it. i got mine from a computer accessories store :D

I Have the PSR e403 and I use a usb type from a normal printer and it works.

When i bought my keyboard, inside the box there was a cd with the driver.When asking for the driver ,put the cd in dvd and it will install the driver.

If you don´t have the cd that it comes with the keyboard go to yamaha page and look for the driver in the model page.

Yes absolutely. They even have windows 7 drivers for it already. I'm using this keyboard as a midi controller, connected to my pc running windows 7 64bit. Works well.

Only thing I haven't worked out yet is the arpeggio timing.. it seems sloppy.. the arpeggios go out of sync with what im playing on the pc. I let the keyboard control the tempo of the song on the computer and it wobbles up and down by 1 bpm.

but it works for what I needed so im not complaining.. just quantize your midi data

Yes you can. You can use any keyboard with midi i/o in FL studio or any other host software. I've been using a PSR225 this way for a little over a decade now for my software synths.

when you record one track, you hold in 'record' and the number track (1,2,3,4,5) that you want to record on. Then, if you held in one, you would hold in record and 2 (or 3,4,5) keep doing that! i have it too check out some of my vids!

um... i actually don't think you can do that. but you can edit them via usb. also, when u r on the sound you want, the Live Control can add some cool effects! have fun with it!

I'm a beginner and I have an old Casio keyboard from the 90s. It's a piece of shit. I found this one for $179 at Guitar Center, so I might pick it up. But one question. Can you just plug in a USB drive or do you need a cable to connect to a computer? If so, what cable do I need and will it work with a Mac?

For this keyboard you need a cable to connect it to a computer. One end needs to be 'type a' which is the standard type that fits into a computer. the other end needs to be 'type b' (that's the end that goes into the keyboard), which is a square with two cut down edges on the bottom.

Type B is the same type as for a printer cable so you can buy it everywhere!

hi, differences: E403: Arpeggio Voices - 15 Arpeggio styles: 50 No. of styles: 155 Music Database: 256 E413: Arpeggio Voices - 20 Arpeggio styles: 100 No. of styles: 165 Music Database: 300+ There is a sleep mode and some design chg. for example: the start, auto fill, ending buttons are larger which makes the controlls easier to use. The rest is the same as far as i know

however, i dont know how to play a tune along with chords. It recognises every note as a chord. It is not a tune from the keyboard itself, it is a music sheet of Titanic that my tutor has gave me.
