  • If Napoleon would live today, he would fight against the advance of the Islam and Africans in France, I hope.

  • islamreligion

  • @abof004 islamreligion doesnt belong in France not in the past neither in the present !!!

  • @turner2123 Islam, Judaism, Christianism, Buddhism nor any religion because France is a secular nation.

  • @abof004 Viva Napoleon,Viva France and Europa!

  • Ironic that a song about resistance and revolution is used for an army that was trying to conquer other countries....

  • @turner2123 Agreed, and by that logic Russia lost WW2 because they had to rely on winter to save them

  • J'aime français et france

  • Certifié Intergalactique!

  • How did simple french peasants memorize this song when the tune is constantly changing

a national anthem should have verse tune and a chorus tune

this one has about 10 different tunes. I guess the marchons part would be the chorus

  • Yes that series on Napoleon was good.

Beautiful costumes and great actors - Gerard Despardu and John Malkovich !

But the battle scenes were a bit suspect, everyone seemed to be in black great coats.

  • where can i download this version of the anthem?

  • France aux Français !!

  • corsican scum !!!

  • @thebaldybishop

    British fag !

  • Please; Where I Can download this wonderful serie about the great military genius - Napoleon!?

    This video is awesome!

  • @Guilherme1498 you can find it on Torrent just use Napoleon 2002, and search it ;)

  • @Guilherme1498 Lets hope there are no more "military geniuses" - the world can well do without them.

  • @mikelheron20 Yes, I agree, in some point of view.

  • @Guilherme1498 Only "in some point of view". Whats the positive side?

  • @mikelheron20 some people who are overwhelmed, they need and fight for liberty, understand?

  • @Guilherme1498 What has that to do with this video or my comment? Napoleon wasnt interested in Liberty - and he didnt give a damn about Equality and Fraternity either.

  • @mikelheron20 in your comment, not in video, the Napoleon are avoiding a new revolution.

  • @mikelheron20

And armies and arms as well, never, anything good came of it.

  • Napoleon Bonaparte banned La Marseillaise during his rule...

  • Oh well, coz France is being sucked into the EU now and losing its identity.

  • @OfficialRJLextro Thats weird, most british guys says that france and Germany are taking over Europe by EU

  • @turner2123 Not jiust Britain, Slovakia and other countries. The government of those 2 countries are trying to gain as much power within the EU. Does that make you powerful? No, the people will suffer. You'll lose your identity, theirs a reason you have mass immigration. (Same with the UK, but were waking up.) The EU will collapse just like its father the League of Legends. You can never bind countries together under 1 currency as their respective economies fluctuate.

  • @OfficialRJLextro Do you think the UK is the only one to wake up against immigration? France, The netherlands, Belgium, Italy, USA, they are all waking up. Its not because were europeaans that we accept everyone but why would we reject germans, italians, greeks? The EU is the future working together with other countrys instead of making war with each other.

  • @turner2123 Statistics show that the UK is the MOST hostile towards Immigrants and Islam in Europe. Professors predict that UK will be the first in Europe to become a fascist state. It is written into the USA's constitution to accept everyone and everything so you can't change that. The UN controls world peace, the EU is just a tool to give power to a 1 united government, taking it away from the individual courts of existing members. It is a failed organization. I hope the UK exits.

  • @OfficialRJLextro WHAT? Are you serious? Hostile towards immigrants? Have you been in london lately? It is loaded with all kinds happily living on the dole. Pakistanis/Muslims. your so called immigrants are going to ruin Western Europe. Can not infiltrate the Middle East that way. the ME is not an easy place to be if you are not there legally.

    Have a nice day

    Sven

  • @oakand London? You twat thats London, home of the busiest airport in the world ect.. Of course it has all different ethnicities. But on the dole? No. Thats the locals. If an immigrant is caught not having a job they are deported. The more immigrants the more the people of Europe will rise up. DO you really think we will just let it happen? Get ready for a race war. p.S - The Gulf states of the ME cannot function without Immigrants. Look at Kuwait, UAE ect..

  • @OfficialRJLextro you mean the League of Nations? League of Legends is a game... -_-

  • @wedgy4life Ahaha! Sorry about that. Yeah League of Nations.

  • @OfficialRJLextro That's gotta sting!

  • viva the francy

  • Why saying France lost WW2? then you should say Prussia (+/- Germany) and Austria have lost the napoleonic wars because they had to been liberated and count on foreign nations for victory like France during WW2

  • @turner2123 Russians really won both wars.

  • @doktornauka1 mother winter won both, every battles before the snow (:before that Napoleon captured Moscou) were french/german victories

  • WW2 began all with napoleon. Naoleon would defeat and occupied great parts of germany. Later Germany is victorious against Napoleon III and conquer some french lands. the french wants these lands back and mobolise it forces and theirs WW1. Hitler soldier during WW1 wants some revenge and concuered France.

    France 2 - Germany 2

  • @turner2123

    well yes and no.

It began in 1793, when the same countries Napoleon invaded later, invaded us and were eventually defeated at Valmy... But we can go further and see it begin when Charlemagne's empire was devided between his 3 sons into the Franck kingdom and the German one (and a third one) etc etc... Oh boy, I so love the EU now. Peace, at last ! Honestly, I don't care for my identity as long as I can eat and live freely, without wars in Europe.

  • gearmany took over france in how many weeks hahaha thank the allieds they saved your assses

  • @MajorTheSuperBoss "Dont worry french men, the british will fight with you too the last french men", German officer During battle of France

ps: during the napoleon ages Prussia (laer Germany) felled in 13 days in french hands while the prussians had an army twice as big as Napoleon's

  • @MajorTheSuperBoss if there was no france there was no USA, no democraty -> no germany, italy, belgium, Greece,... etc it would be called the 3th reich or soviet Union and France has the best millitary record of this WORLD idiot.

Napoleon faced the world against him and the world needed 7 wars before to end this Glorieus, intelligent men.

  • thats why youguys got your asses kicked what the hell you guys celebrating defeat

  • he is not last great french , louis de funes is one more great french

  • Revenez Empereur nous avons besoin de vous !!!!

  • French freedom fighter my ass

  • last great french!

  • @rayethon you havent meet me lol xD

  • @rayethon

    ??

& otherwise that already existed a great Czech ? LOL

  • Ironic as Napoleon actually banned this song for being too revolutionary.

  • My great grandfather was a british calvary officer but I belive in peaxe frienship between our two nations

  • I am not sure, but as far as I remember, Napoleon banned La Marseillaise and adopted La Marche Impériale as French national anthem.

  • @tindo21

    Yeah

  • @Magixsable Hitler was an aggressor. With Napoleon the monarchs of Europe declared war on France. Conqueror means that that individual want more but since the Coalition Powers declared war on France that means that they, not the French, are the conquerors. Napoleon is a conqueror in the same way the Allies were. Not the aggressor but won the war then took away land from opponents to teach them a lesson not to do it again. Vive la France!

  • I liked Napoleon, until I realized that he was entirely careless for lives of his soldiers, although he claimed to love them, never mind how many died, as long as he gained victory and glory. The Duke of Wellington, on the other hand, regarded his men as 'scum' but kept as many of them alive as possible. Arguably he was a better general for that, and the only time that the two met on a battlefield, Wellington won!

  • @rychardofdawlish Well its true Napoleon wouldnt mind sending an great part of his army to dead if its could help him. But after all Napoleon losed most times less soldiers then his enemys because of this. And Wellington faced him when he was old and had to count on the prussians and dutch people to claim victory

  • @rychardofdawlish I agree that Napoleon did have a streak of Darth Vader running through him and perhaps he didnt have clear objectives with limits and his turn to imperialism was a step backwards. But in his prime he was the greatest military commander of all time (except Alexander 2nd of Macedon) and im sure even Wellington would have agreed.

  • @SirGunishment wellington succeded in emulating napoleon's tactics, he himself wasnt known to be very creative. Napoleon was a brilliant man and he mentioned that he had identified wellington had been emulating his tactics from reports on the spanish battles. wellington was saved by how the mud was absorbing the cannon balls and earning him time by causing less damage. and the prussian's arrival. wellington is overrated

  • @rychardofdawlish In my opinion you are wrong about Wellington. It's only british tube of propaganda that wrote common sense of history of that days. Unpleasant for Englishmen truth is that Wellington lost his battle at Waterloo. Blucher won it. Despite mistakes Frenchmen had on the battlefiled, Red Coats would perish. Without Prussians all would go different...

  • napoleon was like hitler!

  • @Magixsable Yeaah only he commanded his troops on the battlefield, he didnt killed 5 million jews, he didnt bombard and burned citys, he didnt bring his country to destruction and seperated for more then 30 years and he gived glory to France and not an dark page in the history books!!!

  • @turner2123 yes you are right he didnt killed jews ,but he tried to conquer europe.also he was just megalomaniac and an dictator like hitler.

  • @Magixsable dictator choocen bye the french people, and did mainly good things to his country. he was (like only few others) an good dictator. not like Hitler

  • @turner2123 any dictator is an bad dictator ....btw hitler was also choosen by the folk.

  • @turner2123 not at the end of his carreer, Napoleon was admired bye the french people even after Waterloo (even today), Hitler is an dark page for germans from the last year he ruled till today

ps: not all the dictators are bad, the most are because they usaully doesnt respect the people but others try to do the best for its country (like Napoleon)

  • @Magixsable He was elected...

  • @turner2123 Do you really believe that 5 million jews were killed?

That is a way too gross overestimation , but he did indeed hate the jews.

And not one side was clean during WW2 , numerous atrocities were committed by all sides.

Oh , its not Hitlers fault that his country was destroyed and separated for more than 30 years , blame the allies.

  • @bantheidiotsplz heey im sorry your psychiatrist didt done his job well, ask your money back.

he didnt kil 5 mil jews but more + miljons of civilians (also normal german citizens died by hitlers regime)

not his fault for an seperated country? if he didnt invade poland, belgium, france, russia,... or just surrendered to the russians ore allied hands when he saw he was beaten than it wouldnt have happened

    neo-nazist the dumb modern nazie

  • @bantheidiotsplz other countries didnt kill their prisoners or people with different religion/ politicall thoughts (exeption for Russia under Stallin)

  • @Magixsable Napoleon was like Hitler? He was the leader of a free nation! What about the other European powers whose people were used as slaves to kings as tyrannical as sclerosed?

  • @Magixsable

    Stupid asshole ignorant.

    Learn history before talk history.....

  • @Magixsable If thats the case then consider something a teacher told me once..

..Napoleon made Laws, Hitler broke Laws...

  • Greetings, I'm Asian, but I respect the French a lot! I know that Europeans and Asians don't get along very well, but I have faith that the French are very nice people.

  • Ironically this song was banned by Napoleon because it promoted class hatred. The only time he allowed this song to be played was when the French army entered Berlin after Jena and Auerstadt.

  • @gobanito quite true, you been of French origin??

  • @gobanito chant du départ /video/XU1wlRDkHLBz/le-chant-du-depart-napoleon-tribute.html

  • ahahahaha über figürans... OTTOMANS fucked you as hell..!

  • VIVE LA FRANCE, LA FRANCE ETERNELLE ET SON PEUPLE ...

Google Translator

  • @turner2123 I guess the real story was like he was fighting as a beast and nearby there was a flag carrier who made this association of Napoleon with Les Couleurs. But there is no doubt that this myth is one of the greatest manifestations of patriotism in history, and i think it's much more important than the reality. P.S. Thanks for answering and excusez-moi for my english mad skillz

  • @Hydrocefall your english is fine, well its better then mine ; ^)

  • its curious that peopel always come up with the "Napoleon was short" argument. yet he was 1.70 m. back then the average height in france was 1.63m he was actually pretty tall for his time

  • @MHJforPrussia it's only an Anglo-British-American Bashing towards Napoleon and everythings about France, they want to paint him as a dwarf whereas like you wrote his average height was correct.

Today the average heigh of French men is 1m78 so 200 years later you have only a difference of 8 cm.

  • @MHJforPrussia the average height worldwide back in the days was 1.60, for france 1.62-1.63 Napoleon being 1.70 made him a tall person. it must have been hard for the brits to recognize napoleon's genius considering france was its historical rival and it took 9 coalitions to finally defeat him, he defeated 7 of them and britain nevr managed to be the key rival they just put the cherry on top at the end with help from the prussians.

as for the USA they owe a lot to France

  • @MHJforPrussia

Actually its not 1.70m to be exact. It was 1.68m.

  • Vietnam et France sont des amis!

  • i am bigger than napoleon :)

  • Vive la France!!!!!

  • Don't get me wrong since Napoleon is my favorite character history and fascinates me more then anything, but Napoleon was the one who abolished the Marseillaise :p.

  • 0:22 un moment de fierté

  • @jrrail09 Non frenchman (normal, gay, lesbian, bastard, fool, blind...) would fuck you,

    FUCK YOU BATARD !!!

    donc excuse moi encore

  • @jrrail09 pffff.....youre from qatar and you believe that you can injure France??? your country is pure muslim shit! you only exist due to oil

  • Put Napoleon and Marseillaise together is historicaly imprecise because Napoleon replaced it by "Chant du Depart" as National anthen. During all Napoleon's rule the anthen was "Chant du depart". Marseillaise was replaced again as national anthen by Nepoleon III.

  • which film is it from?

  • @AxiTheReal from the french mini-serie of 2002 called Napoleon

  • @turner2123 Is it only french language or english or else?:o

  • @AxiTheReal it has been filmed in the french and english language

  • @turner2123 Ohh.Thank you,sir.

  • @AxiTheReal No problem.

  • NÃO ACREDITO, A FRANÇA PERDEU PARA A RUSSIA ??? APOSTO QUE DEIXARAM O ZIDANE NO BANCO

  • can u give me the link of the mp3 that you use in this clip?

  • @ niksarass-Esprit d'Escalier....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

  • @niksarass You will be saying next that the battle of Waterloo was only lost because Napoleon had haemorrhoids and couldn't get on his horse- laugh out bloody loud......

  • @starystaryknight they are always numerous factors to one's defeat or victory, Napoleon kicked asses to everyone around enough times to compensate for his hemorroids i think.

Anyways the problem is not there, the problem is that you came here to piss french people when no one french came to british video to piss them off. I could play the "who's got the biggest" contest all the day but maybe you should grow up instead?

  • Salut from Rusland!

  • @Challis1989 Like all "dictators" Bonaparte was a great liar so I don't give to much credence to his memoirs..sorry...plus having read various accounts of his life particularly while he was "Emperor* spreading his own brand Imperialism-- and to say that it was all the idea of the revolutionary governments really doesn't stand up....it's ok to be famous but just look at what it cost him..his country...his freedom... and his life.

  • @starystaryknight

France is still ok,our freedom is great, his life?He gave it for France!

Things than you will never be able to do Brits!

  • Big banking interests were financing both sides of the Napoleonic wars.

Rothschild actually bought up the entire London stock exchange before the battle of Waterloo.

Napoleon's memoirs admit of the banking oligarchical interests in dominating all Europe. The monarchs of Europe were the biggest patrons of these bankers and Europe would suffer to this day, due to these corrupt financiers funding wars after wars.

Europe must awake to the real threat. Which is working from within.

  • Napoleonic France was born out of the French Revolution. Without the Revolution, there will be no Napoleon as the Cousel of France and later Emperor.

La Marseillaise was a song composed during national crisis. France was the envy of Europe, with a population of 40 million, could muster the most powerful land army in that era. Europe was determined to shut down the revolution, shut down the soldier emperor. Why? Because they needed to preserve the old bloodlines of Europe which lives on.

  • In my Napoleon Biografy it stands that France had 28 millions inhabitans at the time of Napoleon.

  • @ConstantineJoseph It was much more complex than that.

  • @Heinekeem

Pardon me but I can't summarize well enough within 450 characters.

  • @ConstantineJoseph No, no, no your not pardoned. I wanna read a fully detailed explanation of the historical events that preamble the revolution, how they flowed, consequences with the use of texts and didactic material in form of images videos and if possible, videogames.

  • @ConstantineJoseph Also don't forget that without Napoleon and his conquest of Europe the revolutions of 1848 would not have been possible. These revolutions were instrumental for breaking the stranglehold of the aristocracy and clergy and brought the first parliaments to many European countries.

  • @Edohiguma Like my country Belgium founded in 1830 with french help

  • 500k entered russia, 25k exited. Another failed imperialist.

  • @niksarass.....thanks,ever so much for the history lesson......trouble is the French are England's natural enemy,we fight wars against them, did all our brave soldiers die in vain at Agincourt...that's the problem when you have a country that is governed by cowards(France)....always on the defensive......"I would rather have a German division in front of me than a French one behind me"-General George S. Patton U.S. Army.......Rule Britannia.

  • @starystaryknight That's fun that you quote Patton soldier of an ex-colony, lost by england because of.............THE FRENCH! =D

Patton was a retard, Leclerc lead the way to paris and desobeyed US command because they were fearing to invade paris!

Bir hakeim, Dunkirk both times the french saved roastbeef asses, fucking ungrateful people. Agincourt grate, but HIW is a french victory

Pétain was a retard, i agree, but don't judge all french people based on one stupid dude

  • @niksarass Patton NEVER said that, that is a misquote (widely misquoted). Patton had nothing but admiration for the French, he spoke French and got along with Leclerc. He told Leclerc he would be the one to liberate Paris, no matter what he heard otherwise. LeClerc had threatened to resign because he heard a rumor he wouldn't be allowed to liberate but Patton said not to worry, he would. Leclerc didn't disobey orders, he was too good a soldier to do that.

  • "The French cannot forgive us because they owe us so much"-Sir Winston Churchill

Refering to French animosity towards the British.

Thank God for the "English Channel"

  • @starystaryknight -"The French held 7 german divisions in Lille during 3 days and thus saved at least 100,000 more troops in Dunkerk. England wouldn't have been able to carry on the war without this splendid contribution of the French 1st Army". Winston Churchill

  • AUX ARMES CITOYENS !!

  • @Valk72,Come to think of it Old Boney(Bonaparte to you) had about as much luck as Adolf Hitler in his "cunning" plan to take over the world....failed in Egypt, failed again in Russia, failed at Trafalgar.......wont mention Waterloo lol........what in the name of Bonaparte's balls was he doing?...always enjoy the films tho'..great pleasure to see him being thrashed over and over .........

  • @starystaryknight He never had any plans for world domination and if you read his memoirs he really had no direction and goal for france only that he took every opertunity to expand its borders. Egypt wasn't his idea it was the Revolutionary governments idea to send him there to be out the way after his fame grew in the italy wars v the austrians. Napoleon may not be a saint but he sure is hell isn't in the same catagory as shittler and i'm british.

  • @Valk72 Oh dear you a bit of a "thickie" or something-Surprised you don't know the answer to that one- William was Norman and he beat Harold to become King William 1 of England, didn't you learn anything when you went to school?..pmsl.

  • @starystaryknight (2)Why all brits are so hypocrites concerning Guillaume?

Normandy was A FRENCH VASSALITY and french cultured, his armies to conquer England were 80% french 20% french vassalities, he spoke french, reproduced french feudality & language into England.

"The small groups of Vikings that settled there adopted the language, religion and culture of the French majority. After a generation or two, the Normans were indistinguishable from the French".

    Encyclopaedia Britannica

  • VIVE L EMPEREUR !!!

    VIVE L FRANCE !!!

  • @elgrandosmoke ha- I have touched nerve, however so what!..La belle France...Collaboraters with the stinking Nazis..,the Charlemagne Division of the Wafen -SS.....Vichy France.......France and Frenchmen go bury your heads in shame..vive la france, vive la republique,,,,,,,bollocks!

  • @starystaryknight

Reminds me, which nationality is the last war lord who conquered Great Britain?
