The TI-36XPro is better than both. It has the same textbook print as the TI-30X Multiview with more advanced functions for college and engineering professionals for about the same price.
@mRUSSIA Totally agree about the TI-36X Pro. It's awesome, but it wasn't out when I made this video. I have a review up on Tech Powered Math. I will add it to the description box.
I have HP 35s, 50g, Texas TI-57 Programmable (not working), TI-30X IIB, TI-83 Plus and Casio FX-451. I'm some what of a collector and I found the calculators itself more interesting than only use them to solve problems.
@ILykToDoDuhDrifting Can't argue with that. The TI-36X Pro is really great, and I have a review posted at Tech Powered Math. It wasn't out yet when I made this video.
@master00ofdsiware I haven't used the TI-34 Multiview very much. There are differences, but I believe they are fairly minor. I am under the impression that the TI-34 line is aimed more at middle school, while the TI-30 line is aimed more at high school and college. The old TI-34 (before the multiview) was very similar to the older TI-30X IIS, but it had the trig options in a special menu and was a little weird in how it handled fractions.
I originally got the 30XIIB, and I used it for like 4 years and just a month or so ago got the MultiView, and I sure do wish I had the MultiView all this time, it's such less of a headache for everything, and it even has a classic mode which practically makes the 30XIIB / 30XIIS (same) an unpractical choice. This also has a table feature, which was not mentioned in the video, which you write formulas for (whatever's in each slot for L1, square, multiply it, do whatever), so this is GREAT buy!!!!
well I screwed up. I got the iis30x and wish i wold have gotten the multi view now. impulse shopping like an idiot. even though its on my finacial aid, still they barely give you enough to get by and i could use that 14 dollars back from the bookstore.
speaking of the bookstore, are they run by the federal reserve? what a racket they have going on 150 dollars for a used book .
@wheely132 I would definitely take the TI-30X IIS over the 30xa. However, the 30x multiview is much, much better than either of those two. It only costs an extra dollar at most stores, why not spring for the one that can do fractions, exact trig values, etc?

@blajsad That is an impressive collection. I'd never heard of a TI-57 before and had to look it up.

I have a question, does theTI-30X IIs calculator turn off with a button or do you just let it turn off itself
karenk321 6 months ago
@karenk321 It has an off button, just hit "2nd" and then the on button to turn it off.

@TechPoweredMath Cant it simply raticals too
TheMan16111 1 year ago
@TheMan16111 Yes, the Multiview can also simplify radicals, and the 30XIIS can't.

@TechPoweredMath I just got one and it is very nice
TheMan16111 1 year ago
@TechPoweredMath the multiview can also do fractions stacked. i just bought my multiview and i love it! $20 at staples!
