I was searching for this piece because it was mentioned in a book I'm reading -- The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. The main character said it was her favorite piece of music and the most perfect musical composition ever written. I am not a musical expert, just an ordinary person, but I enjoyed this very much. Thank you for sharing the performance with me. (I am Teri in Portland OR, using my son's account.)
oh my god... do you listen to your performance after you record it? can't you notice it just sucks? if so, why do you publish it? and learn how to use a sustain pedal... -.-"
@Vincintosh - Ciao! - Thanks for viewing:) I agree that this recording is really poor, so now I promise to devote some intense slow practice to this wonderful 18thC Italian Toccata! Warm Wishes from England to Italy - Denise
@Vincintosh : Have you ever heard of giving constructive criticism? Your comment isn't helpful, and you sound like a jerk. It's fine to make suggestions, but you don't have to be rude about it. Other people have managed it, as you can see. I think the original poster has been pretty gracious in all her replies, actually.
MissDeniseHewitt: I came here for the same reason as QLMalaMala's mother--because I wanted to hear the song from The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. Thanks for posting it.
@layla9099 - Ciao Ciao! - Thanks for viewing:) I promise keep practicing to improve my interpretation & dynamics next year! Warm Winter Wishes - Denise
@adrianehm - Thanks so much for viewing and for your friendly suggestion! I'll certainly try and use less sustain pedal in future recordings:) Warm Wishes - DeniseX
I looked this piece up as it was mentioned as the main character's favorite song in the recent novel, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. Oooh, what a rush listening to this is! "Whenever I hear this music it makes me think of flying down the steep east side of Goodger Hill; running so fast that my legs can barely keep up with themselves as I swoop from side to side, mewing into the wind, like a raputrous seagull" (Bradley, pg 105)
Thanks for viewing, and indeed I agree with you. I promise to slow down and correct the mistakes through more intense practice! I've played this beautiful Baroque Toccata since my early teens! Warm Weekend Wishes - Denise
I'll practice and re-record sometime in the future! This was one of my earliest music uploads more than 3 year ago! Hopefully I've improved my technique during this time:) Warm Wishes - Denise
A me quello sembra un pianoforte elettronico... chi dice che necessita di una riaccordatura potrebbe darmi il numero di telefono di un accordatore che, per lo meno, non appena lo vede, torna a casa con una risata senza farsi pagare la chiamata?
Thanks so much for viewing and commenting! I see that I recorded & uploaded this more than 3 years ago, and fortunately I've improved my technique since this time:) Augurandovi un giorno fantastico! - DeniseX
Grazie per la visualizzazione! Sono d'accordo che io pratica intensamente e ri-registrare questo meraviglioso Toccata per pianoforte! Best Wishes - Denise
Guten Tag! Thanks for viewing! And of course I'm really disappointed that you found my performance pathetic! I'll keep practicing until it is perfect:) Best Wishes - Denise
oh my goodness, i've been learning this song for over a year, and now i've realised i've been playing it all wrong! thanks for showing me how it actually sounds...do you use pedal throughout? maymay x

You're right! It's really tricky finger work and should really be played relatively fast - Presto :-)
