Nice looking tC. I have a couple of ?s for you. I have a 09 xB with 6,000K HIDs & one of my bulbs sometimes works & sometimes it goes out. & one of my bulbs isn't as bright as the other. What do you think my problem is. & how easy was it to do the front badge like that?
i have 2 questions hopefully someone can answer them
are projectors less/more bright than stocked headlights?
can you put an hid kit in projectors (somebody posted a video saying the hid bulb is to long for the projectors)?
and the stupidest one of all...do they illuminate the street signs that are like over 10ft high. i wonder because of that cut off line. it didnt illuminate past that line when u went to the door. plz help
How does the halo ring actually get its color? Does it all depend on the headlights I get or would I have to get some kind of leds to change it? I'm looking for a bluish tint to the rings.
hey guys im selling Japanese made HID Conversion kits on amazon. our kits start at $100. it includes 2 HID bulbs, 2 Digital Ballasts, 2 mounting brackets, installation accessories and 1 year warranty.
go to amazon and type in "sani hid" and then you will come across some o-nex HIDs. O-NEX HIDs are made in JAPAN!!! not the cheap ones that are made in China these days.
hey man I have the same projector headlights! Currently I am running the projectors with the bulbs that came with it, but Im gonna buy a 6k kit soon. I was wondering if when you first got the headlights, did the projectors put out an uneven cuttoff?
yea man BMW's headlights are still 4100k's they look blueish because of the lens and projectors. All OEM cars must have the 4100k lights. The optics create the clean cutoff.
Have you had any problems with the projectors burning a hole through the plastic headlight housing yet? I had that problem with with my old ones. But I want to get projectors for my new car but I just dont want the hids to burn a hole in them..lol
yhea man i dont recommend you to put that blue led on the scion logo because i got a Ticket for that. $130.00 because supposly the cop he said that i tryed to copy a cop with blue or red LED'S. You can have white, or amber but deff not blue or red.. Take care!
i wouldnt change them because your 2010 tC comes stock with projectors. all you need is a HID KIT. And youre ready for Great Performance! Take care :)
This is the best cutoff i have seen hands down for an aftermarket kit. Do you know if your aftermarket Headlamp had HiD projectors installed in them already?
YEA! HELL YHEA! ive had them for about 1 year now and cops are always saying they look nice and that it's a good idea to have projectors because i wont blind people off the road. :) SO YES THESE ARE STREET LEGAL! ONLY IF YOU HAVE PROJECTORS!!! REMEMBER
Irvin is right mate, decent projectors come with the cut off built in, if you use HID in standard lights you will flood and blind other drivers which does make them illegal, my cut off is so tight too, its within a few inches....
Nice Vid. I'm ready to buy HID's for my 08 tc. It comes with projectors. Witch ones do you recommend and what color my scion is silver. also where did you get the scion logo it tight.
So i know u said that u installed them yourself, is that because u have prior experience with that or just pretty much self explanatory? Do they need any kind of extensive knowledge or do they pretty much just sit where they are supposed to be and plug in where they are supposed to be? Dont wanna heff my brand new scion over :-X
hey i just got a 08 tc and the sales guy said that the 08 ones have projector type housings for the low beam, so is it possible to use those projectors because my neighbor has a similar tc but 09 and he has hid lights on it
Hey! congratulations on your new 08' Scion TC. Anyway, You can use HID's on the 08 and 09 projector's. All you have to do is buy the 9006 6000K Hid's or the 8000K or 10,000K I recommend the 6000K
hey..umm actually the lights for the 08 tc, idk if you know, but they are H11 bulbs not 9006 becuz you said yours came with projectors so they should be H11 for Low Beam..jus a correction, you dont wanna buy the wrong light bulb.
well you cud have either both HID for the lows and highs..or just have HID's for the lows and regular stock bulbs for the Highs..(idk if that answered your question right lol)
hey how do you get the 6000k bulbs into the projector housing? i just bought a kit like this, don't know what the hell i'm doing, and it just doesn't seem possible to me. thanks.
Hey, they are really looking nice. Did you use this projectors in after market angel eyes or what? I'm using angel eyes in my 2001 seat toledo for the reason that I used xenon. Only angel eyes for a 2001 seat toledo come with projectors. But the projectors in this angel eyes are cheap shit. It looks better then standard halogen headlights but you're projectors do really look much better.
Maybe I can try to build the projectors that you are using in my angel eyes.
oem hid's (bmw) is 4300k. the retard on the headlight timing is the bulb igniting. cutoff is ok, but i dont like the style of them (ive seen them in person many times)
Thanks for your Post! Yhea 4300K Is a Bad COLOR! from far it looks 6000K, but when it's aiming at road, it's YELLOWISH! Hate that! LOL, but yhea it's ok I Really like these Projectors on my Tc because it it a Dark Blue color and the housing is black, so i really enjoy them! You should get projectors for your tc, i recommend these because they help you see better in night time. Hope to hear from you! Take care.
Great Bro, Youre gonna have SOOO MUCH FUN with those lights. But make sure, USE PROJECTORS. Cause if you don't then thats "illegal" but if you use projectors it's "Legal"
sweet sick tc man i also have 6000k they look sick to hey what size bulb you got for those projector headlights i have a 2007 on oem headlights but whant to change.
I have 9006 projectors for scion tc. Order them online! ebay, or a online store that sells Projectors for scion tc. they are suppost to be 9006. You can fit anykind of HID bulbs in there, and Temperature.
Nice looking tC. I have a couple of ?s for you. I have a 09 xB with 6,000K HIDs & one of my bulbs sometimes works & sometimes it goes out. & one of my bulbs isn't as bright as the other. What do you think my problem is. & how easy was it to do the front badge like that?

el22romantico 1 year ago
@el22romantico haha thanx! lol
1 Yes you can put HID kits in projectors
2 Projectors only give you a clean cutoff line so that you won't illuminate other people's faces while driving
3 and yes they work perfectly fine in illuminating the street signs. Depending which projectors u buy.

Part of the reason why there is no glare on these headlights is because the housing around the projector beam is black and not chrome.
