  • Hey Everybody !!!

  • I've been playing this cd for the first time in years and it holds up 30 years later This song still sounds modern. Miss Ross killed it on this album and used it to launch her career to the next level. Goddess.

  • I never thought I would hear this, thanks forever.

  • i just love this song :)

  • loves diana this song haas a great beat i know all the words although i was probably 5yrs old when it came out!

  • i really love this song and i never know why back in time diana don't made a video with this song ? she would made a hit sure! , i really love this song, have this lp at home and every time i listening this song i feel my hear and my mind happy... this is what i call a real music...

  • REALITY CHECK HERE!

DIANE ROSS IS "THE QUEEN OF DECEIT"!

She's not The Queen of Pop for sure, look at the numbers!

    Diane Ross (solo)= 5 # 1 HITS 1969/2011!

    Madonna= 12 #1 HITS 1982/20111

    Whitney Houston= 11 # 1 HITS 1984/2011!

    Mariah Carey= 17# 1 HITS 1990/2010!

    THE SUPREMES= 12 # 1 HITS 1964/1969 (5 YEARS) OUTSTANDING!

    THE SUPREMES= 5 # 1 HITS 1964/1966 (18 MONTH) UNMATCHED!

Diane Ross as a "solo" is a "FAILURE TO LAUNCH" sex for stardom Berry Gordy experiment!

  • @TWTR4EVER The sad part is you don't know what you are talking about....Diana Ross is the Queen Of Popular Music because she is the only artist too have number one hits: As part of a group, a solo artist and duet.....she has a total of 18 number one hits.................Know your facts before you speak...if you are not sure of this information look it up on google......

  • @stevenmccants1 Here IGNORANCE is on your side!

THE SUPREMES (7#1 HITS) as they are inducted at THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM and not THE CHARADE of Diane Ross & The Supremes (5#1 HITS) none of this BELONG TO Diane Ross alone, SHE WILL NEVER BE CREDITED FOR THEM, that GIVES her with the dismal record SHE OWNS, record that together with her well earned reputation of BACKSTABBING, CONNING DECEIT to THE SUPREMES and PERSONALLY we can add ADULTERESS will continue to allude SOLO INDUCTION!

  • @stevenmccants1 Diane Ross and her DELUSIONS OF GRANDEUR supported blindly by her GLITZY FAKE MIRAGE followers was part of group,(THE SUPREMES later created by her lover Motown/Berry Gordy a CHARDE THAT CAME TO BE KNOWN as Diane Ross & THE SUPREMES) the records achieved by being part of an ensemble will never BELONG TO HER ALONE NOR BE PART OF HER ACHIEVEMENTS AS A SOLO, so regardless of what Google (giggle) says IS INCORRECT and for you who CLAIM TO BE PART OF THE INDUSTRY IGNORANT AT BEST!

  • @TWTR4EVER ......It definitely sounds as if you have a particular DISLIKE for Ms. Ross....and your opinion is valid..........As someone who is part of the industry....I was hoping to have a discussion with you without the bashing...Apparently that will not happen, nor with giving you some facts about Diana Ross as an artist. So on that note.....Open up your mind and let some sunshine in.....because it is clouding your judgement....This is a great example of your personal opinion vs. the facts.

  • @stevenmccants1 As an artist Diane betrayed herself, her family & her public when she embarked on her rampage to gain SUPERSTARDOM! One thing you don't leave behind on your "climb to the top" is INTEGRITY & ETHICS and those qualities she either never had or conveniently never bother to implement but like the footprint of our lives will follow us along the way her brilliant artistry is been outshine by all the bad deeds and short cuts she implemented on the journey that's catching up with her!

  • @TWTR4EVER You must have knew her pretty well?

  • @airjor1 I knew & know her mode of operandi quite well!

We cross our path professionally twice!

Her trajectory both personal & professional less than honorable!

  • @TWTR4EVER Maybe you should write a book and then move on with life.

  • @airjor1 A book about Diane Ross?

I will leave that to writers. I'm merely a music aficionado who's been following THE SUPREMES since the late 1960's early 1970's cross path with them several times and know the saga way beyond the manufactured marketing & publicity apparatus that feed the masses its requirements for consumption!

I have a life, this is part of it and when ever you get bored, move on, other will follow!

  • @TWTR4EVER Good point!

  • @TWTR4EVER I'm gonna take a wild guess that I am older than you and the fact that Im in the music business give me carte blanche to let you have it for this tripe you put up! Diana (real name Diane) knew who she was by age five I suspect...different out of the womb that housed five..spotted and push by her mentor Berry Gordy...during the toughest time for entertainer...ESPECIALLY WOMEN OF COLOR..I suggest you find one person, male for female that has made and maintains integrity

  • @TWTR4EVER If I were you i would hold Madonna's track record for misdeeds up beside this love and light you seem to be lookin through...you will find it riddled with holes

  • @musicmsl But then you're not me, thank God!

"Riddle with holes" without a doubt is the resume of such Diane Ross, personally & professionally the woman is a train reck of deception, manipulation and opportunistic debauchery!

  • @stevenmccants1 and various groupings at that...trio, group with the temptations and choir with we are the world. she has dueted with many famous people.she has had hits somewhere in the world in the 60's, 70's 80's, 90's and 2000's. let's see what this decade brings as well. Diana is an even bigger survivor than mary because mary never got bashed by the public like diana has had to endure over the years. diana haters need to let it go now...their work has been done and diana is still here.

  • perfect !

  • I have nothing less than fun when I listen to my diva Diana Ross.

  • If you felt down, this would help lift your spirits. The message is also true; we should hold on to some of those childhood abilities to enjoy the simple things. For instance, I adored swinging when I was a little girl - to this day, I cannot resist swings - at the parks around town or wherever. Unless there is 5 ft. of snow on the ground, you will likely find me on the swings. I can still conquer the world in the same two places I have my entire life - a rocking chair and swings! Thanks.

  • @gva0917 YOU SOUND JUST LIKE ME!!!! I can not resist a swing! I'm not going to say how old I am, but trust when I say I'm VERY grown : - ). And yes, I still swing when I come across one!!!! It's a beautiful thing : - )

  • Thank you Chic Organization for helping the MOTOWN SOUND survive during the 1980"s with this classic. Jesus said, "Let the children be first." And they were having fun again with Diana Ross...my homegirl. Yayyyy...

  • I first heard this from television exercise guru Richard Simmons playing it. I was ten. Went out and bought it with my allowance! Loved it. The QUEEN of R & B. An equal to Michael Jackson at this point.

  • @steven33ization I love this is well. However, I must say yes, she is the female equal to the MJ who some say is the King of Pop, in which I agree. However, I think Lady DI is the Queen of Pop and not R&B. She's made her presence felt on the R&B Charts, but she is bigger than that. That's more of Aretha's title. Ross is an International Star, therefore she and MJ deserve the rightful titles of KIng and Queen of Pop. She also gets my vote for Queen of Dance Music. Alt. night clubs love her.

  • 30 yrs ago.WOW! seems like yesterday.

  • This album would have been awesome to another degree if she hadn't taken the master to Motown engineers and remixed it on her own without Nile or Benard's knowledge. They said they would never work with her again.

  • @kiddfunknyc but they both did work with her again...i think that wa a media beat up.

  • @wonderboyjoy OK...Can you give me the name of the album/project?

  • @kiddfunknyc both individually worked with diana...nile on workin overtime and bernard on telephone. diana, a few years back, was named a as patron...or something similar .....for niles hiv/aids charity. it is great that the album diana was released with the original mix a few years ago.

  • @wonderboyjoy Well I just learned something. Thanks for the info. However both Nile and Benard (their words not mine) did have an issue with Diana about this album. Media beat down set aside. They both were pissed for awhile. It is a piece of music genius though no matter what.

  • @kiddfunknyc it is a great album that still sounds good.

  • @wonderboyjoy Yep..and Funky as it wants to be!

  • @kiddfunknyc - Thanks for this comment... I listen to this song many times because I LOVE it and I started thinking that the instrumental had to be something that the group "Chic" was repsonsible for putting together and my intuition was right! Have a Happy 2011!

  • I love, love, love this song so much...this was one of her best albums...

  • One of my favorite albums of all time! every track is tight!

  • I was a senior in high school when this came out. It didn't get a lot of play on the radio, but in the streets everyone knew this song.

  • Still to this day one of my favorite albums...all song in sequense !!!

  • One of my favorites by Diana Ross!!!!!!!!!!

  • She was untouchable at this point in her career. The album one of the best.

  • So have FUN again :))

  • Funky tune from Miss Ross and CHIC! ;)

  • Great!

  • You better work the special effects. Pure Diana!

  • I LOVETHIS CUT!!! Thanks for adding it !!!

  • simply beautiful classy haunting and brillant track, EVERYTHING HERE IS NOTHING BUT BRILLANT GROOVY AND CATCHY , from the so fantastic chic's background vocalists , ROSS does sound as good as possible, the strings part make me die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THE LAST PART BUT NOT THE LEAST , TONY THOMPSON ON THE DRUMS IS THE BEST , the way he does enter the song kills me everytime i play that song, with some tremendous respect , THIS IS A TRULY TIMELESS MASTERPIECE

  • @mandrakulajr

She would still be untouchable if the US Market gave her music any form of decent airplay. However, the US Market likes watered down commercial music.

A lot of Ross collaborations since 1980 have been on point, take the Workin Overtime LP, The Ross Album, Take Me Higher CD, and Everyday is a New Day CD, and they were all untouchable. Her music is intentionally overlooked because of this New Era and the fact it does not promote sex. She has some nice Grooves on those releases.

  • Askine - Black Lips

  • this still sounds as fresh as it did in 1980...a sped up modern version/remix is begging! thank you for posting.
