  • Tried it and I look fabulous just like you

  • Lol she was feeling that hehe but so was I

  • what is the name of the song @3:00

  • @miaparis2012 hate is a sickness and my dear you have the flu. Or maybe not your cup of tea! But I think it's cute. Afrocentric! love

  • I have looser curls also. In fact, my twist don't even stay as long as the kinkier hair girls. I sat here & did a two strand twist & I figured it would be flat at the end. Soooo, I watched you video & I did everything you did! Thanks for the tips.

  • I want to know some "after care" suggestions on how to keep my preserve my bantu knots thru the night.

Would i have to retwist them or is there another technique???

  • I love that song too lol...I thought it was just me...but ur hair turned out great Taren! luv ur vids btw!

  • Because my hair is a lot shorter than yours around my shoulders somewhere and its more kinky than yours. Should I use bobbi pins because of the length, or is it fine as long as I do twists first?

  • @miaparis2012

no its not ya idiot -.-''

  • @miaparis2012 lol not getting enough attention at home?

  • the faces you did at the end were soo cute lol

  • Go girl ,love it x

  • omg, you look like Mya.

  • Oh my gosh this crazy!! I'm Jamaican and my mom used to do this to my hair when I wan kid after she washed it. Except we didn't call it "Bantu Knots" we called it "chiny bump"...lol

  • I have always LOVED the way you usually style your hair, with those big, well defined curls with tons of body. This style had tons of body all right... but there were no well defined curls here, just a big hot mess. :( Please keep doing those stunning curls that pop!

  • Tried this last night...This morning when I took them down they were frizzy, limp & looked crimped. Needless to say, my hair is up in a pony tail now. What could I have done wrong?

  • you are like tisha campbell :) can u tell me how is the name from this song in the end? Pls..your face is nice :) i like your viedeo :)

  • BAD!

  • you remind me of mya!

  • My hair is relaxed? Anything else than water?

  • @flygirlmundy HI :-) I kno Im not Taren lol But I like to help If you prefer not to use water, any moisturizer of your choice will do, I like Herbal Essences Long Term relationship if you can get it thats a good one. I also recommend sealing it with olive oil or an oil you like. I say olive oil because it's light and gives a natural sheen, plus it'll help eliminate the frizz most women get when separating. Since you're relaxed its possible you may lose the curls as the day goes on

  • your videos, r extremely helpful

  • What is this song!??? I love it and your curls look so nice and ethnic. :)

  • Thanks for the advice and teaching me how to do a Bantu Knot. I will definately try this hairstyle tonight on my hair :)

  • what does she mean by 3 day old hair?

  • @waterysexpots 3 days without washing it :)

  • @nathsMusic ohhh? wow i go for at least a week? but i twist it in between at least..

  • i will try that since i just bought the creme of nature leave in ...

  • What size/number is the denman brush you are using?

  • Why does she have to be mixed?

    Humans need a wakeup call

  • @impatientwithdesire I get what you mean but she actually is mixed.

  • @brickhouse76

Well, if you think about it, so are the rest of us 7 billion.

  • your soo prettyyy!!<3

  • wow ! so amazing ! Now I know what to do with my frizzy hair, thank you so much !

  • Gosh u r sooo right about parting in the crown/middle area. I've been getting frustrated with my bantu knot outs lately because of me parting so much. I didn't even realise that was the problem. Thanks for posting and your hair is gorgeous!!

  • (if your transitioning and you have thin hair like me)

  • if you gently go through your hair with your fingers you will get a more curly look not all bunched up together your hair will look more natural, volumized, and curlier you will have a cymphonique kind of look volumized curls! i do it all the time and get A LOT of compliments, it makes you look like your mixed which is an advantage for me since im light skinned.... just thought i would share(;

  • I'm going to try this your stunning

  • I really enjoy your videos. Thank you showing us step by step tutorials. Keep up the good work. :)

  • I love it! How do you maintain this style? Do you do it over every night?

  • the beat on your videos are awsome

  • Im doing this style right now

  • beautiful!

  • At the beginning of the video you say your hair is three days old. I really love the way it already looks before you start the bantu knot. What hair style technique did you use to get it like that? was it three day old bantu knots or something else??

    Thanks!

  • When you are done can you also set under the dryer, versus waiting for it to airdry?

  • @dmalikat I've done this style before except I didn't call it bantu knots, I called them bumpy things lol. If you're about to go out then you should get under the dryer. But I would usually do this if I wasn't going anywhere and at night so they could dry while I was sleeping. I think air drying is fun, more element of surprise.

  • this came out REALLY nice...last time i tried this I couldnt get my hair to dry completely...so as the day went on my hair got bigger and bigger...LOL

  • My friend has similar hair as yours... im trying to have her do the bantu knots she wont do it though so...ill def show her your video i think it will give her the inspiration she needs to just try it.

  • Absolutely Gorgeous! Have remained natural or did you perm then transition?

  • does your hair have to be natural for this type of style? Like can you have a perm & do it?

  • super cute!

  • Not in this video but in another one you mentioned getting your hair rollersetted to get it straight and curly. I was wondering if you had a perm?
