whenever i see the two of them(zixuan and changqing), i always feel heartbroken. why can't he just not be a priest and live with her until the end of their lives?? i know zixuan lived for 3 of changqing's lives. but wtf?? just live together. the audience want you tgt and you want yourselves to be tgt, right?
@sestreet9899 because Changqing is fated or destined to be a priest and become a celestial spirit. because zixuan entered his life, he fell in love with her, which made it impossible for him to be a celestial spirit. Changqing was supposed to become a celestial spirit in his first life, but because he fell in love (celestial spirits are not supposed to fall in love) so fate moved it to his second life. that didn't work so he MUST become a celestial spirit in his third life.
That about sums it up. I also thought that Changqing was fated to be an immortal in his third life too. So it's pretty sad to realize that although Gu Liu Feng/Lin Yeping/Xu Changqing was fated to meet ZiXuan and fall in love with her, he was destined not to be with her...too tragic...

But yeah, I like this drama a lot, but that;s because its due to Wallace and Tang Yan, and of course, the chemistry between Wallace and Hu Ge and all the funny moments in there lol
@LotusHue haha, yea, i like the sound effects too. but i think Chinese Paladin1 is more sad, though both are the best!! the producers BETTER make another one of this series!!!!!!!!
Well, my personal opinion was never on the good side of CP1, so its good if other people enjoyed it, but personally I have no love for that series. CP3 to me is superior in many ways, not only in special/sound effects, but also of character development, storyline, and of course, that humor! ^_^
I would concede that CP1 is definitely sadder, but I don't feel for it like I do in CP3. CP1 lacks the poignancy that CP3 has, which makes the sad scenes just sad, not memorable for me.
@LotusHue i really loved CP3 more too, but ep.18 of CP1 was epic!!!!!!! but overall CP3 <3!!! but the ending of CP1 was a very good and sad ending, almost everyone died!!!!
Sometimes death doesn't necessarily means sad to me, just tragic. To me, what makes me sad was watching the resolution to ZiXuan and Changqing's love story, because its so poignant and moving. Anyway, like you said, I really hope they will do another CP one day, although it has to be as good as or better than CP3 in order for me to watch it. And hopefully, maybe Tang Yan and Wallace will also be in it...although that might be too much to ask lol
