I am a Airbus A340 pilot.Regarding the flight ability of this aircraft,i m always asked and very often asked by some kids and my friends who does'nt flewed this jet ever because this aircraft is quiet heavy and like very low responce to control in,so that's not the case at all !inspite of it's weight,of it's mass,and of it's size THIS AIRCRAFT IS EXTREMELY TO RESPONSIVE TO CONTROL INPUTS WHEN YOU FLY manualy and you can fly it with fast responce,fast movements at the same time it's very stable:)

Love the 737, the A319, 320, 330 and 340, notably the A340 where I had the priviledge of sitting in the cockpit for a night landing in Montreal. Airbus have a charm while Boeing have a distinct "ruggedness" to them. Haters? Your loss.

Also, Those who call the A320 "The Tree Cutter" need to focus that nickname over to the arrogant pilot who screwed up his alpha-max pass at an airshow with a brand new plane filled with people. Asseline was the tree cutter, not the A320.
