It's obvious the xbox360/ps3 version has better graphics but what about gameplay. Well, the wii/ps2 version is just endlessly running almost without any platforms and requires no skill. the xbox360/ps3 version has more obstacles and platforms and more levels and requires a Sonic pro to beat it. I love Nintendo but right now it's getting it's ass kicked and the wii-U has no hopes of beating the upcoming consoles for microsoft or sony.

The graphics are a lot better in the Wii version but to be honest I prefer the sonic model look on the PS2 and only that. @HyperBlast170 It's pretty simple to do in certain softwares. I suggest power director although it does cost money. Pretty sure videopad (free) does it as well.

@jmario232 ikr? I believe that they could have taken the wii version a lot further if the wii was..well made more so like a hard-core game system like the ps3. i used to play on the Ps3 version but my disc broke. So after i went to Gamestop i saw they had a Ps2 version and it was cheaper so i said "oh cool :)". DONT BUY THE PS2 Version it was the exact opposite of what i was looking for, Then i went back and got my Ps3 version again. Now i'm happier. :D
@dartter50 the boost in the wii version takes up one of those bars so you can only boost a maximum of 6 times the reason behind this is because the wii doesnt not have the hedgehog engine like the 360 which allows the person to run 500+ mph without any lag
my friend got the PS3 version of SU before i got the Wii version of SU and he STILL hasn't beaten it yet while i beat mine in like 2 weeks. WTF?? i mean i like the Wii version but i hate how it was too easy.

Well, Sonic Colors was great and all, but you know what I don't like about it? IT'S TOO DAMN SHORT. Every level is like 5 seconds long, and there's only like 30 levels. Like an hour into it, I was at Aquarium Park. >.> Otherwise, it was fun.
I shouldn't have believed those stupid review scores, I eventually ended up buying the wii version because of how much I liked the 360 version and it turned out to be a real disappointment. Its not awful, but its the inferior version for sure. I have no idea what the reviewers were thinking when they rated these games but anyone who likes the wii version should definitely consider picking up the other version.
Only problem is the difficulty in the 2D parts(we did ask for the original formula so not a legit complaint) and Tails is annoying cracking jokes that aren't funny and his sarcasm after the Nega Wisp level takes too long.
I have the Wii version and really liked it, however I will happily admit that Adabat for the Wii version was lame. Definately my least favourite level. Still, I have Sonic Colours now, which pwns both games imo.

What possibly infuriates most with the Wii version (which I own) is that, with looking at Sonic Colors, Sonic Unleashed 360/PS3 could have easily have been ported to the Wii quite well. However, since they wanted a PS2 version, both PS2 and Wii owners got a very mediocre version of what is essentially a pretty good game.

I have the Wii version and I feel like I just got jipped after seeing the 360/PS3 version. When I get a PS3 for Christmas this year, this will be one the games I'll get.
i prefer the ps3 version. although i originally had the wii. it broke and i didnt miss it. the wii version is shorter.. linear design so even if u go up or down for a quick route, you end up o nthe same path for the next minute and then its over.
the ps3 version is very linear, buit the level is sooooo long and complex that you do each thing 2 -3 times per level(running on water) so its fun even with its tedious challenges <_<. that level is much harder than it looks. very easy to fall off.
oh man -.- when i buyed this game, i just had a wii.... i think ill buy the ps3 version next week, cause the wii version sucks balls..... BIG BALLS >.< I MEAN!? WTF!? THERE IS MISSING ONE WORLD O.o
I have the the Ps3 version. Now I played all four and let me say this; didn't like the Ps2, Wii, I only like the Ps3 and Xbox 360. Those who like the other ones don't really care of graphics which is why their defending it so badly. But I prefer the ones for Xbox 360 and Ps3 cause of the graphics and game play. Plus, the levels are a lot longer than the Wii and Ps2 counterparts. nuff said.

OMG, I'm glad I have a ps3 and a friend who doesn't play Sonic Unleashed for the PS3 anymore, longer levels with more tricks! Hub-Worlds aren't pictures either! My Wii version doesn't work anymore because I turned my Wii horizontally to vertically and it got this deep ring in the disc. And I easily go for a good challenge :D

Almost all the things IGN said was just picking on one small thing and making it a big deal I played both the Wii and Ps3 version and the Ps3 version is better.
I'm just saying that I heard about the problems on the next gen consoles and if I spend my money it I will make sure that it is not on the version of the game that is poorer quality.

I did not know that but this shit always happens to video games designed for one platform that try to port to another, for example Shadow The Hedgehog on xbox and ps2 and splinter cell double agent on to ps3 and wii. Sonic is owned by Nintendo now and it makes since that that's the platform it's best on.

I feel sorry for any other wii users that paid 50$ for unleashed wii version, it's not bad, but i dont think it's worth 50$. I'm tempted to buy a PS3/360 copy just to have it so when i get an xbox or PS3 later, i can play the REAL game. If you are a serious gamer, wii is not for you. What possibly infuriates most with the Wii version (which I own) is that, with looking at Sonic Colors, Sonic Unleashed 360/PS3 could have easily have been ported to the Wii quite well. However, since they wanted a PS2 version, both PS2 and Wii owners got a very mediocre version of what is essentially a pretty good game.

I have the Wii version and I feel like I just got jipped after seeing the 360/PS3 version. When I get a PS3 for Christmas this year, this will be one the games I'll get.

i prefer the ps3 version. although i originally had the wii. it broke and i didnt miss it. the wii version is shorter.. linear design so even if u go up or down for a quick route, you end up o nthe same path for the next minute and then its over.
the ps3 version is very linear, buit the level is sooooo long and complex that you do each thing 2 -3 times per level(running on water) so its fun even with its tedious challenges <_<. that level is much harder than it looks. very easy to fall off.

I have the the Ps3 version. Now I played all four and let me say this; didn't like the Ps2, Wii, I only like the Ps3 and Xbox 360. Those who like the other ones don't really care of graphics which is why their defending it so badly. But I prefer the ones for Xbox 360 and Ps3 cause of the graphics and game play. Plus, the levels are a lot longer than the Wii and Ps2 counterparts. nuff said.

OMG, I'm glad I have a ps3 and a friend who doesn't play Sonic Unleashed for the PS3 anymore, longer levels with more tricks! Hub-Worlds aren't pictures either! My Wii version doesn't work anymore because I turned my Wii horizontally to vertically and it got this deep ring in the disc. And I easily go for a good challenge :D

that review was horrible.they forgot to mention that...
-the Mazuri levels and Empire City wereremoved from the Wii/PS2 version.
-The boost sucks, its like 2 seconds long.
-The level designs dont have as much detail and life as the 360. -the sonic levels are WAY too short.
- although the day to night ratio IS 50/50, the difference in the time it takes to compleate a stage makes it seem like theres more werehog
-all in all, i feel they shortcutted the Wii/PS2 version (yea i have it btw)

I did not know that but this shit always happens to video games designed for one platform that try to port to another, for example Shadow The Hedgehog on xbox and ps2 and splinter cell double agent on to ps3 and wii. Sonic is owned by Nintendo now and it makes since that that's the platform it's best on.

You know, I got the wii version, and then i see the 360/PS3, and i feel like i got ripped off. I feel sorry for any other wii users that paid 50$ for unleashed wii version, it's not bad, but i dont think it's worth 50$. I'm tempted to buy a PS3/360 copy just to have it so when i get an xbox or PS3 later, i can play the REAL game. If you are a serious gamer, wii is not for you. Only reason i have a wii now is becasue of SSB and mario games. If sonic is moving on, im moving with it...
