At the end of the day IQ tests are completely invalid, they only focus on a very small part of the brain, the part that deals with problem solving and logic. There are so many dimesions to the human mind, Creativity, Emotions, Social skills, Moral intelligence, these things are not taken into account in IQ tests so there are pretty pointless in my eyes. My iq is 112, so what that doesnt make me better than anyone else, I also suffer with depression and anxiety, Hi Iq levels dont buy happiness.

As a teacher, I think the main problem Im seeing here is a lack of motivation. We cannot rely on test to tell us what we know and what we do not know. IQ test only test one type of intelligence, there are seven types. People should never allow a test to define who they are.

the iq test was probably biased. it depends on where you live and the culture of the country you take the iq test in. and most learning disabled people have difficulty in a particular area or areas of learning such as languages, mathematics, spatial, etc but have above average intelligence. I personally think a better term for learning disability is learning different.

I totally agree with you. An IQ test is not an accurate determination of intelligence, because one can have an high IQ, yet never amount to anything in life. Also, whoever is making up the questions tests have different ways of weighing them and so forth. Mental retardation is a permanent mental state, it cannot be altered. Someone with a learning disability as you've said before has the capability of learning, but need a different approach.

I've taken a few IQ tests and the results varied. On one I received an 87 or 88, another result was 111, and the last one was 115, which is above average.
