Did the commentator just call Diaz's striking "very impressive superlative striking"? That wild ass sloppy, looping punches masquerading as boxing is very impressive? I know MMA fighters aren't the most technical strikers in the world but at least the commentators should have much higher standards for "impressive striking". @Facepalm422 you see alot of that in mma. accuracy, and knowing when to throw the hard shots will get you farther. not only do you conserve your energy, but you open your opponent up by hitting him with different varieties of shots in particular locations...shouldn't really have to say this, but for all the people that don't know boxing....when you hit to the body, your opponent will drop his elbows to try and protect his body then you hit to the head or viceversa.

Diaz is a good striker, not a good boxer. There is a difference. he keeps his hands low and loops his punches but that is his style and it works for him obviously. His akward quirkiness is his strength and some classically trained boxers also share his style. Think Karl Froch, punches look different with small mma gloves also, they dont look as prescise as they do with normal boxing gloves.

I know MMA fighters aren't the most technical strikers in the world but at least the commentators should have much higher standards for "impressive striking".
