I think this type of mic was used because MJ got a very powerfull voice, it's a realy good choice because if he was using a Condenser mic he probably get an infamous distortion.

I love to hear Michael voice and work before anyone can ruin it with mixing and what they call fine tuning. Michael didn't need fine tuning he was perfect just the way he was. He was a one in a million if even that. I don't think anyone will ever have so much heart.

I have a little experience in the studio, and once had to mix a recording of a vocal group who had one member who was consistently "sharp". The engineer and I used a harmonizer to bring her pitch down, but that technique sometimes changes the voice color. You can tell by listening to this recording that it's the real deal - no studio tricks. I am impressed.

So much flexibility and passion ....filled with emotion . ....Now that I got that out tha way....who da fuck talkin bout Michael's voice was tuned. Dont make me go off on skooling u about the King.
