Fair play, can't complain.

Bowie's voice is great, the music sounds a bit over-produced though.

But it's not like Bowie wanted to usurp The Kinks, it's just sung in homage to a great band and he does it justice.

It's funny how some songs seem to have been born with a definite touch to them which can't be matched. Other songs, instead, lend themselves to attempt different experiments with, sometimes, remarkable results. This is not the case, no matter what you hear, you hear Kinks.
