  • Yes you can when it is used only for business. You'll either directly write off the whole cost under Section 179 or depreciate it over its life. Talk to your tax adviser on what is best for you.

  • I have a question, so last year purchased a iPad for personal use. I liked it so much that I purchased a second one for my business. Can I use the second one as a write off? Seeing that itsonly for business

  • Thanks for this great video, Dave and Dawn! I for one have saved thousands of tax dollars over the last few years as the result of having home based business.

    It's great to have advice like this from a true professional, and I like the way Dawn makes it clear that you need to calculate the percentage of your business use vs. personal use for things such as cell phones, etc.
