  • Plan your trips better next time to get the most out of the places you visit. You had a chance to be in one of the most exciting cities in the world and from what i have seen you missed out on all that made the New York times name Beirut THE top travel destination in the world for 2009(Google it). I live in New York and have been to Beirut 3 times since that article came out and no i am not Lebanese.

  • yesterday was say 2 and now is day 2

  • i think u guys have been unfair with showing the viewers Beirut.. Beirut's a city that has witnessed wars and crises that london has never witnessed and probably never will.. Beirut isnt paris of the east, no.. its PEARL OF THE EAST.. u saw for urself the mix of cultures and religions, the old and new, the rich and poor.. its a city being rapidly re-constructed and developed and we've made big names. Lebanon is so much more beautiful than "england" and next time u wana make a video, do it good

  • aww Casa D'or!! the only hotel I stay in in Beirut! awesome :)

  • I love Beirut. Sure it has a few scars but it kind if reminds me of Miami.

  • u guys r adorable

  • I thought the video was pretty fun to watch. sorry about all the negative comments :/

  • god bless Lebanon, down with Hezbollah

  • A bit of a condescending video if you ask me. And how silly it is to point out at war-damaged buildings with a "Paris of The Middle East" introduction...I really hope you're not one of those who only focuses on the negative when abroad; if you are, please stay home, where it's nicer.

  • One of my favorite cities in the world.

  • Hasanrules: Are you joking or ar you really that stupid?

  • fuck you! and by the way on 4:04 they're making fun: they are pretending to be gay.. you moron!

  • Glad you liked it!

  • and your comparison on the mosque resembling the one in Istanbul was so ignorant, which mosque??? did you know that Istanbul is known to be the city of a thousand mosque? This video is just poorly produced, as a professional in the TV business it discusses me to to see this... so bland, and your bullet comments are so saturated...the saddest part is that you will always be remembered as that guy who decided to make this cheap video to post your interpretation of beirut ...poorly done...ugh

  • The most condescending video...the most naive homade cheap skit with no creativity at all, hoping to be "different" and gain youtube credibility. The man couldn't even pronounce the names of the sight and didn't even know where he was located. how lame is it to go to a country and have no interaction ( we didnt see it on camera) with no Lebanese, and refer the Mosque to the one in Istanbul comment? which one? moron?? who told you such misleading info? the guidebook in your hands?

  • Beirut is great! I was there last September, stayed in the Embassy Hotel on Rue Makadissi (not far from the Casa D'or, about the same standard with a similar view out the window), this film brought back a lot of memories, good ones, I really liked it, it is a fantastic city.

  • I'm european, lebanese descent. Took the bus to Byblos and it was cheap, fast and clean. It's called adventure. Is it a shame to mix with all sorts of people or to go to all sort of places ? I felt safe all the time. Where is freedom ? Reconstruction, fancy buildings and bling bling cars are an encouraging sign. But this is not the soul of lebanon's fragile mosaic. Lebanon is not only for wealthy just as it's not only for a specific religious group.

  • Dude your soooo boring, I have to agree with the comments below, Beirut is not for tourist like you getting on public buses to see tourist sites. Or staying at 1 star hotels. Next time if you enjoy filming things like that, then you should travel to New york and visit Bronx and some areas over there, you will see bullets fly over your head every night.. Or try to walk in some places in London at night.

  • hahahha.. jesus christ.. what kind of hotel did u book in?? im lebanese and has been to many hotels.. never seen one like this!!

  • Downtown.... Hamra... Bliss... Rawsha... Ain Al-Maraysa... Verdun... Faraya... Achrafieh.... All these amazing parts of beirut that could turn your video into something alot more memorable and alot less of a mockery. Seriously, i mean i live in the UK but im Lebanese n somehow despite the difference in wealth I find Lebanon has lots of things that London doesn't... It was named the Paris of the Middle East for a reason

  • Beirut is a very diverse city & is not suitable 4 poor people like u, therefore this is all what u can see. I think the main reason 4 visiting Beirut was because u both were offered a cheap ticket by Flydubai otherwise book a room in Mövenpick hotel & see the difference by yourself. Beirut is a place to spend money & discover whats hidden inside it & you will be amazed thats the beauty in it. We r suffering a big problem in transportation & highly taxed cars 200% thats a fact u only focused on.

  • i m lebanese and i think he showed real beirut , beirut needs more and more works to be come modern clean and organize city i know is sad to tell the true but still is true , we don't have to blam him or the british wat ever he just showe wat he see only one think we have to blam our self to leave beirut and whole lebanon like that

  • Whhoooahh! Hold it right there! You make us out to be some sort of imbecilic cartoon villains! Smug expressions on our faces as we showed the bullet-ridden buildings? I don't think so.

Anyway, despite what seems to be the reaction on here, I did enjoy Lebanon. I thought it was great and the people were exceptionally friendly.

  • @cessnagbdso I thought the part when you said "We're here in the Paris of the Middle East" as you showed a very run down, civil war resulted backdrop was quite sarcastic. The video all together was pretty cool, but I can see why people are criticizing it. If you truly wanted to show "the Paris of the Middle East" you should've recorded some footage of East Beirut and some of the cleaner, nicer areas.

  • These people are british and they are known to be really dumb when it comes to showcasing the good side of a country. Yea those buildings had hole but mother fucker Beirut represents a new modern country mixed with a painful history, but yet we still have the best country in the world

  • Nice video. What I don't understand is why Europeans pick the worst areas to visit in Lebanon and focus on the bullet holes. What about eastern Beirut, the Mountainside...?

  • @oesb

its not like all europeans are that way its the british. im european and I love beirut the way it was , is and will be. I adore the lovely city the way it is with all its beauties and scars of tragic moments. But most of the British are a bit arogant and they have a disgusting habbit to mock over somebody elses troubles...they find it amusing, which you can see on their satisfied faces while showing that damaged building. IT s so sad but thats the way they are.

  • @SuperVerica You're right. Generalizing is wrong and unfair, but the Brits are definitely not the best travellers around.
