This was shot in January of 2002. According to the film's producers during the shoot, the film production permit issued by the City of NY was the first one showing the skyline of NYC following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. After a day's delay due to snowfall throughout the New York area, the shoot took place on a Sunday morning with wind chill temperatures in the single digits... making the Surf's white cotton summer uniforms a bit on the "crisp" side.
