  • Yeah well I didnt think LCD's were subject to any image retention (so the sales guy said over buying plasma) but after a year suddenly i have two black lines at the 4:3 box edges from watching some non HD cable. Went away on vacation and after 10 days all was good again but after another 6 months the lines are back, not a happy camper and will be buying this product before I put my remote through the damn TV, lol

  • I wish people like forcedtosignup wouldn't offer opinions that aren't based on fact. LCDs ARE subject to image persistence, which has the same effect as burn-in. My TV has shown that and after reading many other comments, I now know that this phenomenon is quite common. Technically, it is not burn-in, but it might as well be.

  • @PenultimateRun - It's possible and it happens, but I think that image retention only ever happens to the store display models that are constantly running the same thing.

  • All this does is alternate black and white. The method works, but instead of spending money you should hook it up to a laptop and do it on there. Simple, fast and free.

  • Soooo, it only flashes black and white? Not the multicolored tv static like JScreenFix? How exactly does flashing black and white for 20 minutes affect the stuck pixels or image retention?

  • ???

LCD/LED monitors are not subject to image retention or burn in.

  • This looks like great hardware, might be ordering one soon.
