I'm a 60 yr old white male who was born in Corpus Christi 20 yrs earlier than Selena, but moved away soon after. I had the chance to go back around 1986 but didn't know anyone there, so I didn't. But I could have seen Selena "live" had I gone. Unfortunately, I knew nothing of her until I saw the movie about her life. What a talent! I just came back to California from visiting her museum and grave site and I have to say for being such an iconic artist, even in death. I'm sadden to see her legacy fade away. Her grave was covered in fake flowers with spider webs and trash. i cried out of sadness. I learned more about her from J.lo's movie than her museum. I expected more for such an incredible person... never again will i return, i'd rather keep her memory a happy one than a sad, gloomy, forgotten one.

Yes, that is the home she grew up in but the one b4 that is the home she shared w/ Chris. I used to live in Corpus Christi. When she died a wooden fence had been installed on the side & the front because so many fans kept stopping by. The fence & sidewalk were covered w/fan messages. The Days Inn hotel room door where Yolanda shot Selena was also covered w/fan messages. The rm #s have since been changed 2 avoid fan tourism.

I really miss her just 2 days ago she would b 40 but still ppl she would not be proud of us mad and wanting Yolanda Dead yes still she did kill her n i will never forget her she will always b in mi heart n i SHALL NEVER FORGET the life or at least the half life i wish she could have made it BIG time she was already here but think she could have had a familia kids and she could have grandchildren and lived a life R I P Selena ~never forgotten & never will be u changed the world u took us with!
