This right here is advanced shadow boxing. Very hard. You have to be in good shape to try this. This makes your form and tecnique even better when standing.
actually this strengthens the knees' tendons and ligaments. don't think it will injure knees cuz there's no violent jarring and jerking, just smooth bouncing and shifting...i had a knee injury and did stalking drills and pharoah walks and duck walks that actually strengthened my knees....where as running did further damage. ONE!
that was extremely impressive. You do that on a regular basis and combat fatigue will never be an issue. The man truly is an animal. Such stamina and endurance. WOW !
@labrae thanks I appreciate that.I dont ignore the boxing aspect, mostly in my videos Im practising the aspects that arent straight up boxing so I can pressure test them.Peace
I would accept 52 more if they had their fighters compete in actuall Boxing competetions and videos.... for 52 to grow at all it would have to be like the Gracie Jiu Jitsu way. how the Gracies fought and accepted challenges and taped their fights against body builders, kempo fighters, and other kickboxers and such. That's when people started noticing Brazillian Jiu Jitsu :D
@shadowcar88 see it as like Capoeira. no doubt capoeira is realy something and if you have understood the way of capoeira as a way of martial art you don't have to prove nothing to nobody. Whats so special at beating someone that is less skilled than you?
@SignorFOX A fight is a fight. If the person fighting is not skilled in any art form, then he may get beaten badly. Skill is something you earn through hard training. Look at Lyte's challengers. They have been training very hard and are very good at what they do. Yet, when they came to Lyte for a challenge, Lyte has beaten them or at the very least, tied with them. If light can hang with them, what made you think he can't. The only person who's likely to be less skilled is talkative youtubers.
@shadowcar88 i dont want to get this wrong but you're the first person who put up the low shadow boxing vid with dink right? the only reason y i ask is because i notice the comment on the lyte burly low shadow boxing vid n i think its a bit out of line and if im not mistaken and u are that person then we've met b4 n i did spar using my 52 n boxing with a few of u guys so as far as 52 sucks thats a poor statement....
@lennyronald let me retract this statement from whom i assume made this comment, however i does not change that the statement on 52 is wrong so im not sure who u are but try low stance shadow boxing im sure it will change your mind about what we do....
but, It would be nice to see Lyte's students in Boxing competetion or something to prove it's effective. and post videos of them fighting in actuall competetions....lol
@shadowcar88 You have to realise that Lyte's students are still in training. If Lyte feels that they are ready, then and only then will you see some vids of his students in competitions. Infact, you may not have to wait long, it may be well on the way. But haven't you seen Lyte's videos of him sparing with challengers like Nakmeezy, Dave the Boxer, and, ofcourse, Maoshan. With much respect to all the fighters, Lyte has proven himself that his stuff works. It's boxing with an edge.
this exercise isn't healthy tor your knees. I repeat my self when i say 52B and Bartendaz are great organizations with god spirit and cool philosophy BUT to make your systems something the whole world can benefit of you have to consult a physician who checks your exercises.
@SignorFOX its only bad on your knees if its done wrong...most people walking around shifting there weight incorrect are destroying there knees...and thats with no exercise your knees are your shock absorbers if you can't carry your own weight correctly your knees will go out anyway...
@52blocksinfo : You have advised me about the difference between standing on your toes and flat foot fighting. I have now realised the difference. Flat foot has more power i understand. Standing on toes helped me move around much . Now one point I wanted to say: when i use my elbows to defend punches. my ribs are being attacked. I would request you to help me in this part , if you feel appropriate in the form of a video as i have no other way of learning this precious art. Again Sincere thanks.
@thefireman101 well there was a time when some people felt that way about HIP-HOP MUSIC.. AN LOOK AT HOW MANY BLACK MEN ITS SNATCHED OUT OF POVERTY AN GAVE A SECOND CHANCE TOO..SO I'M GLAD THOSE SMALL MINDED PEOPLE DIDN'T GET THERE WAY...LGD
@52blocksinfo - Hello there again ,I would like to thank you sincerely here for sharing this educational video. I am a muay thai fighter, but ever since i saw your 52block videos i am a better puncher than a kicker. Another aspect of this particular workout which you have described helped me move my upper body to avoid punches and conter punch.
you're right it does do have on your knees.. i tried doing kicks and pivotting! its beast but i cant front.. its great for foundation.. and syncs.. everything up.. he got a good lead guard.. and pivot and rock.. diff from you..your ft and combos his rear leg work is different but nonetheless. well timed.. big quads, and calves, and he got his mouthpiece too.. his defensive is different..walkback counterfighter.. you guys getting it in.. goodstuff
@walking1way thank you for the comment sir, my aim is to get better and all due credit go's to lyte for THE support and leadership in our camp... L.G.D!!!!
