  • Here another application for Ducking , like the 201. how I use to use back in the day

Have a 201 Ducking on the live studio talk back mic, the Input ducked by the SMPTE track, so when tape was playing the live studio talk back mic would be Ducked, and when tape is stopped, mics on . Ahh makes me laugh. I still have a few 201s. Cheers Bobby

  • You where talking about the duck and the gates. You said that the duck would shut down when another instrument is active like the hi hat and the keyboard..But what if the keyboard and the hi hat is meant to play at the same time???

  • @rembertrogers123 With hardware like this you would pretty much have to set up your gates and then not touch them for the whole recording so you couldn't really alter the effect mid song. Unless you had your gate set up as a send from a mixer and you reverted back to a non gated sound by riding the faders during recording but then things start to get messy if you are not very careful. I bet this guy could set it up no problem though no problem, that bottom tom mic trick is a gem.

  • great vid.. this guy is very cool to listen to.

  • why does everysingle one of this internet "shows" start off with the annoying 80's tech jam ? .... hey great show !!
