  • I miss my youth, and when I see what cartoons are on the TV nowadays...

  • The black-eye from the boxer in the fight is in his right eye... but the referee has it on his left eye... And when Spike is resting on the tv (dressed as a boxer again) it's still on his left eye...

  • these old cartoons are from the golden age. can not compare them with the crap they make now. even almost 60 years old it is still so much fun to watch and will be the same for years to come. no special effects, no computers just simple old fashioned hand making cartoons.

  • those are the real voices that was recorded that time, or is just a remake with new voices ?.

Someone could explain to me please. THANKS.

  • @Xl3attousaiX You're a complete idiot...

  • its hilarious the way the warden looks as he is dancing. he looks like a guy that is all serious, then you see him dance lol.

  • Shawshank Redemption was inspired by this cartoon. Hard to believe, isn't it?

  • What'd he do to get 500 years in the first place?

  • @pepperbocook maybe he was a soviet spy!

  • I love how he's still got the black eye when he's counting down the boxing match

  • Now THIS is a cartoon. None of this "Adventure time" crap we get today!

  • Shawshank Redemption was inspired by this: the protagonist also digs a tunnel for 20 years.

  • ROFL hahah At 3:35

  • Super cartoon

  • 4:50 - 5:10 i think shows how much Tex Avery must have loved Jazz and Dixieland music : )

  • Note the name of the prison at 3:25 -- "Sing Song Prison" LOL!!

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! awesome!

  • That's crazy! xD

  • its took 20yrs to tunnel out about 500 yards, and at the end he tunnel out to the warren house in 30 seconds, the math doesnt work with me, but its still the funniest cartoon ever?

  • The dog sounds like he is from the islands, or irish I can't tell

  • LMFAO o my god i freakin lost it when the warden started to dance

  • 5:04 was my favorite part

  • 6,500,004,385,632 digs in the span of 20 years; with dedication like that, I wonder what he did...and I can see how he finally snapped in the end.

Quite the classic; thanks for sharing.

  • @DMajorBoss hahaha...if you take 60 sec x 1 min x 60 min x 24hrs x 365 days x 20 yrs, you'll have = 630,720,000 scoops and it wouldn't even be close! but i LOVED the imagination and the false count!

  • @alphab1 Heheh, tis why one shouldn't think too deeply on toons at times. Suspension of Disbelief: if the show's entertaining enough, I'll save my questions for later.

  • Voice of the warden: Paul Frees

  • 6,500,004,385,632 spoonfuls of dirt?! I'm amazed that he could count that much and he must've been doing it nonstop! I'm surprised that no one noticed that big pile of dirt for 20 years!

Everytime I see him take out the spoon to dig, I say,"He's gonna dig all the way out with a spoon?! That's gonna be slow work."

  • sheree
