  • So what clan is Vick from? Some branch off of the Giovanni?

  • use the tremere clan and u will have no troubles in game at all

  • @SamoJaSamFaca I've played a Tremere. Check my other vids. But Nosferatu are pretty good too.

  • @SamoJaSamFaca Play as a Malkavian if you can puzzle through their weird dialogue and blaze through with Dementation as well as learning a lot of lore if you keep your eyes open. After learning what they did to the Salubri, I doubt I'll ever, ever want to play a Tremere again.

  • @SamoJaSamFaca

use the malkavian and you will laugh out loud xD

  • I don't get how you got your blood and health back so suddenly... Well I played and finish only once with a Tremere.

  • Vick is hot,yet creepy.

  • I had the longest drawn-out gunfight with this fucker and his minions. Should have just took a knife to him like you did...

  • Bishop Vick is clearly too sexy for his shirt

  • I thought vampires couldnt catch disease, how was Vick able to?

  • @sdc3536

Any vampire can catch diseases, it's just that the diseases have no effect on them, however they can still pass them on to normal humans.

  • I always wondered what clan this guy was from. I thought Malkavian at first, but Malkavian doesn't have celerity. Most likely Toreador antitribu, or Caitiff.

  • @f4nnyp4ck I was thinking Brujah. He has Celerity, he's a renegade and he has a cause. He also has a shotgun. Most Brujah are into guns. Most Toreadors (the ones who don't mind mussing themselves up in a fight) would prefer to kill you with something more graceful or stylish, like a scimitar or a pair of daggers.

And Brujah can get pretty bloody psycho, too. ;-)

  • @BloodyBay He's a Toreador, and Brujah hate guns because they're loud and noisy.

  • @ZedekOfLP101 Pfft. You're hanging out with Toreadors masquerading as Brujah, then. :-p

  • Comment removed

  • Vick is a Toreador anti.

  • @hintonjamest How so? Even the Antitribu of Clan Toreador typically apply some sort of art or grace to what they do (even if that art is usually something monstrous and sadistic). There's nothing artful or graceful about Bishop Vick; he just zips around with a shotgun and there's not a lick of Presence to him. However, he IS a renegade degenerate with a passion and a cause; I'd call him a Brujah (not Anti; he could just be an Indy rogue) a hundred times before I called him a Toreador once.

  • @BloodyBay Really? I'm not sure if it's the crack talking or not, but if it isn't I'd say he's Malkavian. Still, it probably is the crack and he's just a crackhead Toreador.

  • shouldnt you have the fire axe by now?

  • @NachtCrus I do. But believe it or not, the knife can be deadlier than the fire axe if you have the build for it. The knife does less damage initially, but with a high enough melee skill its Lethality increases, and it has a faster attack rate. And see in the video how the knife has a knockback attack (Down+Attack)? The fire axe doesn't have that.

So really, the knife isn't bad. I kept using the knife until I got the katana and the Ra Blade, come to that.

  • @NachtCrus Yep.

Did I have the fire axe at the time of this video? Yep.

Did I WANT to use the fire axe? Nope.

The knife is faster, it has a knockback and its Lethality is better with my Melee level. Just because the fire axe does more damage per hit doesn't automatically make it a better melee weapon. Rate of attack and special attacks count too.

  • My favourite NPC in Bloodlines.

  • you made it look so easy!!

    damn you!

    hahahha

  • Ninth Circle? Does he mean hell?

  • I'm at that point now, but I'm on Jezebel Locke i'm never going to kill her.

  • Is there some way to increase difficulty in VtMB, cheat perhaps?

  • @malkaviansrle You're asking if there is a cheat to make the game harder? No, the only cheats they do have is to increase XP, Blood points, get all of the weapons and armor unlocked, and 'God' mode which allows you to be virtually indestructible. Plus other little cheats that really aren't worth anything.

  • @phoenixgirl39 you mean like no clipping when you get stuck in the wall due to knockback? i'd say its very useful.

  • The big problem with the VTM: Bloodlines bosses was the fact that I played a Tremere; I could take them out with just a few blood bolts (or w/e they were called).

Seriously, that Chinese Demon Woman... Took her out in like 5 hits ¬_¬

  • They are so losing their deposit on that apartment.

  • u useing potence help with your knife attck it add a lot of dame to it as u n see.

  • i found this fight pretty easy, I was a gangrel with high protean and high soak so i just charged him before the zombies even got near us.

  • i prefered submachinegun, bad choice though but kicked him in the butt :P

  • This guy was cake with my .44 Anaconda. Just hang back and blast him until he's dust.

  • And you killed the Sheriff without the floodlights, and you probably killed Ming Xiao with a knife and an angry stare too.

    Big boy. :-p

  • I'm tellin' ya! Just snipe him at a distance, and his shotgun is next to worthless.

But when you're more melee minded, things get a bit more interesting.

  • This is true. Backing him into a corner and racking up combos with the knife is always a treat. It's just that getting him cornered is the hard part. :-/

  • killing sheriff without floodlights is pretty easy, especially if you are good with firearms or have some powerful distance - working disciplines, like thaumaturgy's bloodboil. Use anaconda or desert eagle when his flying in the distance, and when he's coming for you use bloodboil, which makes him turn back and fly away.

  • i killed Sheriff and Ming-Xiao with a knife, as Ventrue, did nt use firearms at all

  • Fighting Vick as Toreador was a lot of fun, although it would have been better if our celerity was the same level. Apparently he didn't bother to max his.

A thing that has bothered me about celerity though: When you fire guns, shouldn't the bullets be moving at the same speed as the enemies bullets?

  • Sure thing.

  • lol, I used my Gangrel and he was a piece of cake.

  • Let me guess...claws and Nightwisp Ravens, right? ;-)

  • cool!!! can i find this game in UK LOndon? i really wanna play!

  • Well, I'm not really familiar with England's software outlets. Perhaps someone else from the UK and can point you in the right direction.

Other than that, I'd recommend eBay and Amazon. Just do a search for Bloodlines, filter out anyone who doesn't ship to England and go about bidding with mind to quality per price. I've placed international orders on eBay before (including a Wraith: The Oblivion book from Australia), and both eBay and Paypal will handle any monetary conversions for you.

  • this guy was a total nightmare, had to quick save about 30 times just in this battle. terrifying quick hed use celerity to pump you face with a shotgun shell. infact id say the plague bearer quest is proably the hardest stage og the game (if you attempt it early on and not wait until your stats are hyped)

  • As you can see, though, Animalism is great for locking Vick down. Are you playing a Nosferatu or a Gangrel, by any chance?

  • You are the best player to go against this guy since you only used a knife.

  • Well, to be fair, I did use a Discipline or two as well. But thank you. :-)

  • I think Vick is brujah. Because toreadors are cute, seductive kindred, not like this fella :)

  • well, don't judge a book from it's covers. In theory even a siamese-fugly-twoheaded-sumo ringer could made a toreador.

If he really were Bruja he would use some meele weapons, dontcha think?

  • Well Vick is definitely not Toreador (unlike I suspect Jezebel Locke). And to be honest Brujah don't really even need melee, unarmed works just as well (Potence is for both). And remember, Nines did tell you he uses guns while others may prefer other combat styles (blades for instance) at that part where he gives you an extra melee point when you do the right lines.

  • Vick is Brujah.

  • realy how do u know that?

  • Well, let's see... he has Celerity, knowing that alone, you know he can only be Brujah or Toreador... he doesn't look much like a Toreador... so by process of elimination.

  • well assamites and city gangrel have celerity.

  • Well, again... assamites are silent, discreet assassins and scholars, this Vick guy's a redneck, so he doesn't fit the profile. As for Gangrel, well I suppose it is possible, but he doesn't any Protean disciplines, so Brujah is far more likely.

  • he may be Caitiff dont rule that out..its a possibility, if hes sire gave him the bite and left him dying..so its possible he doesnt know jack about hes clan

  • Vick is Brujah?

  • Either Brujah or Toreador. All we really know is that he has Celerity, and he doesn't seem to use any other Disciplines, which would help give his Clan away. But, given his rough-and-ready appearance and his idealism (however twisted it may be), I'm inclined to say Brujah too.

  • or perhaps he's just another Caitiff :P

  • That could be as well. Bloodlines doesn't seem to acknowledge the existence of Caitiff and Panders, but that doesn't mean they aren't there.

  • Vick got so much on my nerves that I decided to beat him bone on bone (meaning with my bare fist and a kick or two) on my Malk, without any further use of disciplines (felt very satisfying in the end). Good riddance. Nice knife work by the way, gotta love the way it flips and turns in motion when put into action :D

  • How did the health keep going back up?

  • Blood packs. Just assign hotkeys to them so you can flick a key and replenish your Health and Blood Pool immediately.

  • Nice vid, but your shit lol

  • You know what else is shit? Your comment. Have a nice Block, you retarded ass.

    ...lol. >:-(

  • i boom stick my way throgh him just like i shot the sherif

  • I simply love the voice-acting here!

  • @Incantationem who does his voice? it sounds like the same guy who voiced garithos

  • @Incantationem

i think the voice acting here is better than the twilight ones.

  • depending on your character, this will either be the hardest fight in the game, or one of the easiest

  • It's like fucking Night of the Living Dead in this mission, as well as another part in the game that I won't talk about here.

  • ...the part with a guy named Romero, I assume.

  • Yes. The Cemetary.

  • OMG, Chucky grown up!

  • yeah my fight came down to pretty much the same as the video. Bum rush him with melee and keep sucking on blood packs to stay alive.

  • i get utterly raped by this guy every time :(

  • Its the other way around for me :D

  • Yeah, I loved this mission, but I had Vick for breakfast. Slice and dice, then back off behind the abundant cover. Repeat as needed.

  • Very cool! I've never played as a Nossie...they seem to have some pretty cool Disciplines.

  • I agree. Potence and Obfuscate together make a Nossie silent and REALLY deadly, and Animalism can call in some very nasty attacks in a pinch. :-)

  • I had this guy's voice stuck in my head all day once. It got so bad that I had to try and draw him. XD I couldn't even pay attention in class, Vick's voice was too loud in my head.

  • hmm...you Malk?

  • yep! :D

  • Well, if you have an account on Deviant Art or somesuch, be sure to point us in the right direction once you've finished your drawing. ;-)

  • yeah, i never actually completed that quest because the zombies annoyed me too damn much to get to bishop vick. lol.

  • He is most definitely one of my favourite bloodline chars. He has so much style ^^

  • i hated that battle. I was about to lose my nerves with that fucking Bishop! He was so fast... In the end I won him because I hide behind a wall and he didn't notice I was there... :D

  • I hated fighting through that apartment, zombies everywhere

  • he's fairly easy if u play as tremere, just trance, run to him, blood purge, and shoot him to the head :P he did not even get a chance to shoot me back, that poor bastard xD

  • how come the monsters pop up into million pieces is that amod or sumething

  • Nope.

  • I am a malk, and I just hid behind the cracks in the walls and shot at him with a gun.

Then, when his health got halfway down, I got a knife, used blood buff, ran up to him and slashed that plauged mother fucker.

    LOL

  • I wanted to just Obfuscate and stealth-thump him over and over, but it's impossible to hide with all those zombies watching.

  • I know -_-'

they are amusing when you run into them and slash with a knife and all their body pieces fly around!

    (:

    -disturbed child.

  • Flying zombie chunks: the confetti of the Halloweenland New Year. :-D

  • ok i found him, damn celerity+shotgun combo, that guys is a badass xD

  • ..and these shotguns are..well..OUCH!!^^

  • Well, it's a shotgun... keep your distance and Shoot him off with a pistol. That's what I did.

  • Tactics vary, of course, especially when you add Disciplines. If you have Celerity, match him speed for speed. If you have Dementation or Thaumaturgy, blast him with potent Blood powers from range. If you have Animalism, stall him with Nightwisp Ravens and close for melee (like I did). The list goes on. ;-)

  • >Tactics vary

    Indeed.

The first time I played through, I used the tactic above. The second time I shot him in the face with the shotgun a few times- Drank some zombie blood- then repeated that two more times. It was quite easy actually.

  • You can drink zombie blood????????

  • Yea, but you vomit for about 2 seconds.

  • i played that game through but i didnt see that guy :S ? in which part of the city he was?

  • If I remember right it was Downtown - in the LA convention center!!^^

  • Downtown, but you need to get the quest from the hippy chick at the last round. It's a chain quest.

  • Well, I think Damsel's more of a neo-revolutionary chick. She's got the whole Che-Guevarra-loving pro-Communism riff going on. But yeah, for best results, you have to talk with both Damsel and Regent Strauss, then hunt down and flatten both Jezebel Locke and Brother Kanker (in either order) before you get your shot at Bishop Vick. Good luck.

  • thanks for the video, i couldn't get past him for some reason, must have fought him 10 times, or so, the one time i did kill him, the game crashed as it loaded the next area, right after the right, i was wtf, and quit...

  • What kind of character were you playing, might I ask? I and other people here might have some helpful advice for you (if only because we'll do anything to help another player kick Vick's ass). :-)

  • i belive i was playing a gangrel, but most vampires in the bloodlines games have very smimllair skill sets, not like in the real vampire masqurade game, i just had bad luck with vick, that's all...

  • I find it rather cheap to use bloodsacks, I never use them, however I usually wait a bit until I do this encounter.

  • The Odious Chalice might be more to your liking. You actually have to earn your Blood Pool in battle with that thing, rather than raiding a fridge or giving Vandal a chunk of cash. ;-)

  • I did this on my Malkavian, using melee and Bedlam (level 5 dementation) and killed him in a matter of seconds without any blood packs. Bedlam is soooooo useful because it also gets rid of some of the zombies. I love Malks :)

  • Bedlam also rocks in the Golden Temple. Just drop Bedlam in a mob of monks and watch them all kill each other or suicide out. >:-)

  • muah ha ha!!!!!!

  • I always have to use a ton of blood packs to defeat this guy, he's a real pain in the ass.

  • How did you regenerate your life in the middle of the fight without feeding???

  • Blood packs. Just use the Options menu and make sure they're hotkeyed the way you want them.

I like to keep both regular packs and Blue Blood packs bound to separate hotkeys; there's no sense wasting a Blue Blood pack when you've suffered only a scratch, and when a boss smacks you for half your Health, regular packs just won't cut it.

  • Is Vick a bishop in the Sabbat?

  • I don't think he is; he actually seems to be an Independent, albeit a malicious one. He doesn't care anything about the Kindred and their Jyhad; he's only interested in bringing pestilence and Doomsday to mortals and vampires alike.

  • Yeah, I think the Brotherhood is something different, independent as well.

  • both sabbath and camarilla are threathened by him

  • Hi is easy but thet fucking zombis bifore him are iritable:))

  • ...the who with the what? o.O

  • can someone tell me does redemption and bloodlines has any story links?

  • No. None at all. Activision themselves said so.

  • Wow Bloodybay you earned my respect ;) already playing with Nosferatu is quite hard...and this boss is quite hard since you dont have so much stats yet...;) keep the good work

Ah Btw can u make a video you fighting vs Andrei in Kings Way(In hollywood) and than vs Andrei in Hollowbrook hotel? ;)

  • Now that you mention it, I think I have a save before each of those battles (real saves, not quicksaves that get pushed into oblivion by too many quicksaves). I'll see what I can do. :-)

  • ...and you're in luck! I just checked, and I have saves for both battles with Andrei. I'll see if I can Fraps them both this weekend. :-)

And contrary to what herrpotat was saying, I tried the first fight again and was STILL doing more damage with the knife than with the fire axe. The knife's overhead slash (Right + Click) can easily hit three times with the same slash, making for some pretty respectable damage (as we may see in the coming video). >;-)

  • Also, I've just uploaded both Andrei battles. Enjoy! :-)

  • Why arent you using the axe? It hits harder then the knife.

  • Call it something to prove. The knife killed Jezebel and Kanker, it fended off the zombie holocaust...even Andrei (both forms) and the serial killer have died by the knife so far. Potence can help with the lower damage, the knife's faster and I like the knockback from the knife's Back+Click attack. Why stop now?

  • Besides, since the game won't let my Nossie start the Yukei-and-Hengeyokai mission which ends in me getting the Ra Blade, I've found that top-of-the-line weapons aren't as necessary as one may think.

  • what do you mean you gotta do the hengeyokai quest for the tamal`ra`he blade? i heard it could be found in the hollowbrook hotel somewhere...

  • It depends on which unofficial patch (if any) you have installed; the Ra Blade was originally in the Hallowbrook Hotel, but later patches removed it and either gave it to Yukie or planted it inside the Fu Syndicate.

But the Tal'Mahe'Ra Blade was originally a Sabbat weapon, which makes sense; in Vampire: The Masquerade, the Tal'Mahe'Ra were a sect of vampires who led the Shadow Crusade and gave rise to the Sabbat and the Black Hand we know and loathe today. :-P

  • damn the guy is tough

  • I was playing brujah, and he wasn't all that hard when using celerity yourself since bullets can be dodged.

  • I wonder which Clan this one originally came from? Did his sire make his Embrace so traumatic that it led to this development? Did his mind simply break because he had been a devout cleric before and could not stand becoming one of the Kindred?

While one can understand and perhaps even sympathize with his apparent torment at becoming a Kindred, his actions were no better than completely draining one of the Canaille.

  • I'm still wondering how he picked up the disease (or infected himself with it) in the first place. That might have played a role in his becoming Bishop Vick as well.

I know of no Canaille, though. Did you mean the Camarilla?

  • If memory serves, Canaille was the archaic term for humans, as Cainites was the old term for Kindred. Just as an Elder might speak about committing the amaranth, which in the Modern Nights would be called diablerie.

  • But he is the first damn hard fight, after this guy in the canalisation and therefore I hate him.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "canalisation". Who are you talking about?

  • By "canalisation" he means sewers.

  • Oh, he means Brother Kanker then. Kanker's not too terrible a fight; You mostly just have to either play keep-away or outlast him in a toe-to-toe slugfest.

  • Yes, I mean this guy from the Plague, in the sewers of downtown.

  • hm, i like this guy

  • He is a pretty charismatic speaker, huh? I like that country-style bombastic flair he puts on his preaching. :-)
