@bandslater I think it's also because Phil is an SG fan and since they have one from the 60s it is prime. You see that guitar was released in the 60s as something like the new Gibson solid body guitar set to lift them out of a period when they were low on sales so they had to make them good and they had to be fresh to make sales. They actually used to have Les Paul's name on them too but he wanted it removed and so it was after the first line. It sounds a lot like a Les Paul but lighter.

@cheezbeenzriz U mean a maestro tremolo? It doesn't have to be a Maestro, but that's the kind on the guitar in this video. I'd go with Ebay for a Gibson one, but that will be expensive. Allparts.com sells copy ones aswell. BEWARE! Newer Gibson and Allparts maestro tremolos have incorrectly made springs. The arm should swing slightly up towards the pickups, and slightly down towards the tail. This is so when the guitar is in a case,the case will not detune it.New Gibsons and Allparts screw it up.
