  • I think that Boromir may have been a complete jerk at first in the movie, but that scene when he gives the speech is incredible.

He also is a great brother to Faramir. Faramir's father never supported Faramir, and constantly berated him. Boromir is a prime example of a excellent brother. He was Faramir's quasi father figure. That's why I like Boromir.

  • Be at peace, son of Gondor :(

  • I liked this video for Boromir.

  • pause it at 6:30 and look at all the bodies boromir well done

  • I used to be part of a Fellowship...until I took three arrows to the chest.

    -Boromir-

  • @kidindacardboardmask you dare make an arrow to the knee joke while I sit here shedding manly tears?

  • @MrSpence341 Arrow to the chest, not arrow to the knee. But other than that minor detail...yeah :P

  • Boromir's My favourite Chracter!

  • man the dislike are like a ninga they are there but u can't see them

  • true badasses attack with arrows from afar.

    *trollface*

  • this scene...so sad

    but...

lol did anyone notice the dead ork on the ground lifting his head up to watch aragon run past at 5:01-5:04 ? he is on the middle slightly to the left.

  • One does not simply defend the hobbits...

  • 4:16 how did aragorn do that?

  • This is a colonialist's wet dream - the savage Blacks are coming to kill us - pure white Europeans, we must unite to stop them :O.

  • 1:58 daym he is using the stopping power perk thats not fair. But no fear! Borimir is using last stand!

  • @upanddowntwice1 0:29 dolphin dive, 0:30 steady aim perk, 1:05 call in the heli, 1:31 noob tube, 1:58 stopping power, 2:09 juggernaught, 2:46 marthyrdom, 3:27 last stand,4:02 Iron lungs, 4:23 knife kill, 4:40 throwing knife, 4:43 double tap, 4:50 juggernaught again, 4:54 headshot, 5:03 that orc is using last stand, 6:55 killed by Uruk soldier. Cue the killcam!

  • @UndercoverGamer115 im gonna kill you. how dare you bring a comment with call of duty involved

  • It was only this scene and the flashbacks in the two towers where we see the true borimir and how powerful a warior he was. Without the ring, he is a strong, brave and courageous soldier who threw himself in the way to protect the hobbits. That is the borimir i would like to know

  • i love the way the hobbits are just taken off their feet at 3:18 lol

  • just skip to 2:00

  • 1:40 sup bitches

  • boromir was easily one of the bravest of the nine companions of the fellowship, and easily the most powerful (behind Gandalf). Boromir is definately a warrior i would want on my side in a fight. i cried when he died ;(

  • Why does Sean Bean die in every movie?

  • @Elrohir1000 he doesn't in National Treasure, he just gets arrested. haha

  • He should have taken them to the knee

  • @TheMilbournIdentity Then he would have just given up being an adventurer and would have become a guard. That's the a much more worse fate than and epic death

  • I still remember my reaction, the first time I saw this

    "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

  • Boromir would have lived if he had the ability to fire 3 rounds a minute in any weather

  • 5:00 to 5:05 hey look that orc is still alive!

  • He was an idiot falling under the power of the ring, though that doesnt change how brave he was at that moment, throwing himself in the way of the hobbits and engaging that many knowing he may not make it out. He showed the best of himself and he died in honour and he even knew what an idiot he was to frodo and the ring and the ending shows what he actually was. It was good for both Tolkien and Jackson to portray him in that way, as any other writer or director would of made hima complete ass

  • @upanddowntwice1 .... uh ... bro... people don't CHOSE to be corrupted by the ring.. lol

  • @upanddowntwice1 That's the point isn't it? Boromir shows how men are honorable, but easily corrupted. Aragorn himself, who is a direct descendant of the kings of Númenor, would eventually be corrupted by the ring. That's why the separation at the end of FOTR is essential for the story to play out the way it did.

  • @Verilepakko Basically, at this point Boromir, like any other being, was thinking the good he could do with the ring. The idea of the possibilities of the ring was corrupting Boromir. Now that's something that every human on this planet should be able to relate to. The ring gives you the power to become a demigod->imagine the possibilities=human.

  • And it's a foul ball. 4:38

  • Anybody knows who played that Urk Hai fag that shot Boromir?...

  • @030terror

    Lurtz

  • @030terror

    This Lurtz

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry guys, couldn't help myself, but: 4:21 I used to be a Commander of Orcs like you, then i took a knife to the knee ...

  • @kaaywoww But Aragorn was never a commander of orcs.

  • this is easily the best/saddest/most epic death scene i have seen in a while

  • Sean Bean deserves an honorary Academy award for mastering the art of the movie death like no man in the history of cinema ever has

  • An extremely sad scene! Come to think of it Lurtz was really going to put Boromir out of his misery.

  • Boromir's Stats

    Heavy Armor: 45

    Two Handed: 97

    Epic: Over 9000!

  • Can someone tell me about Boromir? I watched this a long time ago and forgot what he was like originally and later on at his death... What made us so attached to him? What made him important as a character?

    Thanks in advance

  • @fl333r he was a prince of gondor (City of men) . he wanted to be a part of the fellowship to honour gondor but the ring every now and then kept on tricking his mind eg. making him angry and selfish sometimes. but bormoir gave his life to safe the others

  • @KingsofSparta So he basically redeemed himself, eh? :D

    Thanks for explaining

  • @fl333r boromir lived for nothing ,but died for something

  • @KingsofSparta thats what rambo use to say ''live for nothing dive for something''

  • @MsAxel20 dive? you mean die?

  • @KingsofSparta yes :)

  • @KingsofSparta

No !! He rescue Osgiliath and he's one of the greatest gondor figures...It's because of the fear of gondor fall that he succumbs to the ring tentation

  • @KingsofSparta boromir lived for gondor and the white city and in the end for pippin and merry! My favorite character from tolkien ;)

  • boromir was the best written and most well acted character in all three films

  • @jed371 lol he wasn't in the three films DUH! thats why hes dead in this scene , this is the first movie!

  • @KingsofSparta i think you missundertsand what i meant

  • after the second arrow i would be yelling, "Run Hobbits, THIS REALLY HURTS!!!"

  • I shed a man-tear here

  • Saddest scene in Fellowship, by far.

  • Just saying... it takes 3 arrows to the chest to stop boromir, not 1 to the knee

  • ... BRYNNJOLF!!! NOOOOO~

  • my fave character aragorn, second fave legolas third fave boromir

  • This scene always had me bawling.

    Awesome movie. :)

  • Such an emotional scene. In the books, Boromir was described as the the finest warrior man had to offer. Much more so than aragorn. Like while on the mountain, he plowed a path through chest high snow for the hobbits to walk in. The movies never did a good job of showing the strength and valor of boromir and faramir. But this scene redeems Boromir. At the end, when the fellowship reaches him, dozens of uruk hai lay dead around him. Save Gandalf, he were the most potent warrior in the fellowship.

  • @behemuth Finest warrior man had to offer. Sure aragorn was a king and all, but its a fact boromir was a better warrior.

  • @YankeeSparrow Yeah, aragorn might have had more strength of will, though it might just be his life as a dunedain did not allow for great ambitions which the ring could influence. Boromir on the other hand, loved his city and folk, the ring offered to save them. He did not want it for his own power, but for the power to save gondor. If Aragorn had such a weakness, he might not have resisted the ring. In the end, the book states boromir was the mightiest in the fellowship (save G)

  • @behemuth Boromir isn't a better fighter than Aragorn. It doesn't say it or even suggest it in the book. He was meant to be not as tall as Aragorn but broader. Aragorn was leaner. However he was of greater lineage and was a greater man. But your right - Boromir was a very valiant warrior and despite his weakness regarding the ring, he redeemed himself in the end. The films don't demonstrate the valour of the men of Gondor, they all seem too weak.

  • @clynchable Boromir was described as being the mightiest member of the fellowship save Gandalf. If he was a better fighter? no idea, the book is not that specific. However, Where Aragorns strength's lie, therein lies Boromir's weaknesses. Aragorn were not identified by his prowess with the blade, but his strong will. Boromir on the other hand, had his strength in battle and in his compassion for Gondor. Which in the end spelled his doom.

  • you know a guy is badass when he gets up and kills more people after you've shot him in the chest with a huge arrow

  • That's an Orc with war paint and Nightingale bow and ebony armor.

  • Comment removed

  • pippin: merry castrate him and i'll slice his throat

  • Brother = Fellowship

    Captain = Two towers

King = Return of the king

  • And so passes Boromir, brave son of Gondor.

  • So many man tears. Everywhere.

  • I used to be alive, then I took OVER NINE-THOUSAAAAND arrows to the chest. True Story.

  • 7:06 turn off the sound and Aragorn says "baked beans" XD

  • one does not simply kill boromir...

  • ああボロミア。。角笛になりたい。。。

  • 0:29 love it how all the orcs travelling in a certain direction accept this one.:D

  • @SilentRavager pretty sure they're supposed to be rotten monsters so yeah

  • 5:09 - Boromir's hand is on Aragorn's shoulder 5:11 - Now it's not. 5:14 - Now it's there. 5:16 - Now it's not. 5:18 - There again. 5:21 - And now it's gone. 5.24 - Look the hand again! 5:32 - Oh, not anymore... and so on... xD
  • @MrJThink It must be Saruman's magic.

  • @MrJThink You idiot. The angle just doesn't show the hand.

  • @kanelic LOL! Right, the angle...

  • @MrJThink Yeah. The angle...

  • Isn't a bit racist that the Uruk-hai are black?

  • @SilentRavager STFU.

  • The writer in me adores Boromir and Theoden - they seem to be the only properly 'flawed' characters, and to me that makes them easily the most interesting characters. (Though Gandalf is my favourite character overall, and Sam is amazing too!)

    I always shed a man-tear at this scene :(

  • For England James?

  • It would've been funny if he didn't die after he said all those words - but still lived for like 30 mins or an houre.. would've been so awkward.. What to say now >.> xD.

But truly amazing scene... Boromir 4 life! (Sean bean ftw!)

  • Omg i didn't knew Triple HHH was in Lord of the Rings !!!

  • @LiquidSnakeMGS wtf? where he is? xD

  • @abix40 5:42 Here is Triple HHH :)

  • I don't understand the haters for Boromir, especially when they compare him to Aragorn. People always say he's the best since he's Dúnedain, was raised and trained by elves, and had a lifetime of expereince ahead of Boromir. Boromir had been born and raised while Gondor fought Morder, his whole life had been war and he got the best Gondorian training since he was the Steward's son. While he didn't have all the experience of Aragorn, he definately kept up. He was a true Gondorian soldier!

  • @777melkor Those statements got no sustain, aragorn was never depicted as the best warrior (not even better than gimli or maybe faramir), but he was a great all-around guy who could play warrior, healer, scout and so on. Boromir was the finest warrior man had to offer.

  • @YankeeSparrow I never said he was the best warrior, but Aragorn chose not to belong to any Kingdom of Man (Dunedein doesn't really count), so he wouldn't fit under your definition of "finest warrior man had to offer". Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to prove anything, all I'm saying is that you cant compare Boromir and Aragorn in the way I depicted in my original post. You cant compare anyone in the fellowship with eachother as the better warror since all had different skills

  • Should've known there would be some "arrows to the knee/chest" jokes

  • i cry evertime :(

  • I cryed at this scene.... R.I.P Boromir :'(

  • If ever I die fighting for my family or some other person I love.................. I WANT to die like that.

Boromir .......... you are the man.

  • If he had taken an Arrow to the knee he could prevent death & therefore become a family man.

  • Example 1 of fighting like a boss

  • wirklich ein sehr trauriges ende :'(( aus der langen version oder??

  • i used to be a great soldier...but than i took an arrow to the chest....and another one ...and another one...and guess what? i still fight on !!! FOR GONDOR!!!!

  • 4:54 -

And that's the end of that.

  • He did good before the end.

    That's all that matters.

  • So let me get this straight, this is a world of magic also right? why couldnt they bring him to some oracles or clerics? they could of resurrected him.

  • @Frankifyful

For the same reason they don't have Gandalf magically teleport into Mordor, drop the ring into Mount Doom, and go on his merry way; wrong magic, wrong setting.

  • "I would have followed you my brother... my captain... my king."

  • ones just simply not take a arrow in the knee...took it str8 in the heart

  • @r9centeno one does not simply take an arrow to the knee

  • If i were Lurtz, i would have gotten straight for the knees.

  • Most badass of all the characters in the trilogy.....stupid arrows

  • I used to be a Son of Gondor just like you, but then I took three arrows to the chest...

Sorry, had to. Boromir was awesome.

  • all the old orcs wanted a good death.

  • sean bean is usually casted to do the best death scenes .. its kinda already obvious that he acts the best at dying but other than that he is a great actor and one of my favorites

  • Atleast it wasnt an arrow to the knee......

  • @MrGamer2556 the jokes old just shut up

  • what news from the west, O wandering wind do you bring to me tonight

have you seen Boromir the Tall by moon or by starlight

  • So mch for the Lord of Winterfell

  • That scene is my most determinative experience in cinema ever. The moment when I fell in love with Sean Bean completely and undoubtedly. The whole cast was awesome but what Sean did in this scene was utterly legendary. This man is such a fantastic talent, a really gifted actor. I'm so grateful to him portraying my favourite fantasy hero this brilliantly. After 10 years or so it still gives me thrills and tears. My hat off to you, Sean Bean. I'm under your spell since then.

  • wtf why doesnt my dvds have all this extra violence?

  • ''I do not know what strength is in my blood, but I swear to you I will not let the White City fall, nor our people fail.''

''Our people, our people. I would have would have followed you, my brother... my captain... my king.''

  • I think this is one of the most beautiful yet tragic scene in all the history of cinema. I wished Boromir would have lived to see the white city once again...

  • Why does sean bean always die in the first book?

  • I wonder how many arrows Legolas got lol

  • Boromir is my favorite character in lotro. I also love Sean Bean

  • Sean Bean gets fucked over in all of these fantasy roles. He dies here, Game of Thrones, and in Black Death

  • This scene gets more and more sad every time i watch that film...

"I would have followed you my brother... my captain.... my King"

  • I wish he had his shield :(

  • I used to be a Gondorian like you. Then I took an arrow in the chest.

  • 0:29 what a diver :/

  • he died defending his friends... and redeemed himself

    R.I.P Boromir

  • @TheNobleteam07 boromir is one of the most badass fighters.....

  • @Geringverdiener heck yeah... he died a honorable death and most of all died like a man.. he went down fighting

  • Where is your shield when you need it.

  • he should have pack a punched his sword, and shield, and gotten juggernog, he would have lasted alot longer

  • 3:53 fucked up hair and makeup.. Snookie is that you?

  • i used to be boromir... then i took an arrow to the knee...

    and to the chest...

    and to the chest again...

    and then i died

  • half of cinema goosed

  • i cried so hard :((

  • Did you see the third arrow hole already in his chest before he was hit?

  • why does he keep dying in every movie and make us feel so bad about it!!!!!

  • @alberteinsteinsmuse he never died in troy

  • @KnightWolf919 No but since he played the character of Odysseus (forgive me I have a hard time spelling that name) his luck wouldn't have improved much :)

  • I wish sean bean was Aragorn ..

  • "I would've followed you my brother. My captain. My king"

Puts a knot in your throat doesn't it?

  • Rest in Peace, Boromir of Gondor, True were thy Course, but fate's hand is ever Cruel and shrouded in Wicked Intend.

A Wind at your back, Forever.

  • @zuser its just a movie.

  • @kcnB

but some movies and character capture the hearts and influence people more than any real person does

  • @kcnB Words can Inspire people to do Great things, so too can Events.

Movies can inspire a great deal, don't underrestimate that.

  • Boromir was my favorite character too :/ i love this guy! i wish he coulda just taken an arrow to the knee :"(

  • How can someone dislike this...

  • @Frenchieman8 Orcs on the internet

  • Boromir was entitled 'Bro'mir shortly after his death.

  • Eddar... I mean Boromir would have taken his ass back to the void.

  • In the end Aragorn was never the human of the fellowship, Boromir was. He was weak and pathetic, brave and compassionate. His inner conflicts are those of any of us, and despite his errors and his fragility, he died without having ever been a coward. An example for all of us, never tried to be evil or hero, just the best man he could be.

  • @KafkaDatura I couldn't agree more. Nice comment man !

  • @KafkaDatura EXACTLY!!!

  • This is thee best scene in the whole trilogy.

  • i used to be Boromir, but i take an arrow to the knee... to the chest... to the stomach... then i died *-*

  • At least he didn't took an arrow to the knee.

  • I see that archer guy took lessons from Legolas.
