It's a reinterpretation of thunderball. Watch thunderball you will get it. Thunderball is a better movie anyway. Also mr. Connery is noted in Scotland for all the money he has given away to charity. Certainly most of what he has made
This film doesn't make any sense, he spends two hours looking for the boat. It's stupid, if you are going to make a remake: Why do it on the best selling film at the cinema Thunderball? Connery performance is the only good reason to watch this film. Otherwise it's terrible and it's no wonder Connery punched the producer so bad that the producer wouldn't go anywhere near him again.
The film was OK. But it really surprises me that people don't hate Connery for what he did. He went against EON Productions, (Official James Bond Film company) the people who made him famous, the people that pratically made him one of the most well known people in film history. It annoys me so much.
@OliverBond96 Connery did it because he was angry at Cubby Broccoli for not paying him more money when he felt he was the reason for the success of the films. By then, Roger Moore's Bond was successful with a new generation of fans. It annoyed me too when it came out, being a devoted fan of Moore and Broccoli. I've learned to love NSNA and am glad Connery came back for it. It's unique&so much better than anything Barbara did. She wasted the talents of Brosnan with her juvenile fluff.
@Rogersocal acutally connery isnt some money crazed ass hole who go's hating on the people who made him who he is today. His carreer was going downhill and he felt that playing the character again would help him out and it did. soon after he was cast in quite a few good movies highlander ,The untochables, indiana jones and quite a few more
@MrSherlockWatson I didn't say he was a money crazed a hole who was hating on anyone. Do some detective work, Sherlock, and you will find I am right. His career was not going downhill at all. He continued working after DAF right up until he was offered NSNA.

Even if Connery looked older, it worked for the character, he could have died it again, but the character called for a nearing retirement Bond. But he still rocked action wise, and was still fast. Moore was so slow, so in front a blue screen, and just moved like an Old Man, Connery still was able to throw puches and be thrown around.
@TheMrBondJamesBond Because Moore was too old but, in his own leathery way, still somehow looked very debonair , handsome, and 007-like towards 60, where as Connery just looked like an old man after a while. Connery still had all his charm but he just aged so quickly! Even from '62 to 71' the change is dramatic over those 9 years, but then he had a great career later in life. I love them both but Moore always did less and got away with it!

Despite of many people hate this movie I found Never Say Never Again really great and entertaining Action/Adventure movie. Sean Connery was old but no less impressive James Bond. Kim Basinger was special one - definitely one of the most beautiful and memorable Bond Girls.
Max von Sydow, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Barbara Carrera were great as well.
even though it is not from MGM/EON it is still 007 and it is still awesome
