@tomada36 well, they had a legal agreement to have every song credited as Lennon-McCartney, created back in the early days, so there was never any credited to just one of them, even if only one of them wrote it/played on it (eg yesterday).

@tomada36 I think, until they split up officially, the Beatles songs were credited as Lennon/McCartney even though they were writing separately in the later years. I think it was because of an agreement they had made when they first got together and started writing.

He clearly was the breadwinner in the relationship so it's not like he had to listen to Yoko for fear of instability or support. He was his own man. Yoko couldn't have prevented anything John wanted.

@katrin2801 Paul had indirectly hinted to John in 1980 that he was planning a new album with George Martin that would feature guest performers on every track. John expressed some interest, but he had a lot of plans for 1981 - another album and a world tour. But he still was thinking about going to Montserrat and cutting a track with Paul, if he could find the time. Paul said many years later that he thought it was 50/50 that John would have showed up for a track on his Tug Of War LP.

I believe Paul&John had a massive bond, kinda like a see-saw, you give i give.

John said Paul tried to control The Beatles after Brian died, and i think it was because he was afraid of change.

I think Lennon was the one who wanted to change and knew they were finished. He also said Pauls first album was crap, but had faith in him to do better-and how right he was. I think they were so different but had a identical sense of humour and passion for music.
