@METALLERhates2332 That might come from the fact that I got interested in Anthelion first even if those two bands came WAY before them and the fact that without them Anthelion would, maybe, not even exist today. I listen to a somewhat wide range of metal but I'm very demanding toward what I like. I'm not saying they suck but their music never grabbed me in any ways even if they all are in the same genre, can't explain why, it's just how it is.

@caiodbs There are so many great asian bands, the problem is that they have difficulty exporting their music because of lack of budget. They mostly record under local production labels. Right now Anthelion is recording a new album due around April 2012 and this time they told me that they are looking for an official international distribution

@surenopimp BLOODSHED REBEFALLEN, it's their only LP to date. Right now I don't really know where you can get it since I've bought mine a long time ago directly from Anthelion but check Ebay I've seen it there more than once.

Metal fans are often for life, mainstream fans are like moths to a flame, they like pretty and flashy but they burn out quicky.

E.g Lamb of God, Chimaira, Dimmu Borgir are mainstream metal bands and I've been a fan for years, the same way I'm an Anthelion fan.. Does that makes me a moth that likes pretty and flashy but burn out quickly? Mainstream and Underground, Metal and Rap.. It's just music

You like them because you think they fucking rule but a lot of people only like mainstream bands for no other reasons than the fact that they are mainstream. Thoses poeple often go from band to band and never really have any long term loyalty toward them; that's what I'm trying to say

DAYUM. This guy makes Dani Filth sound like the washed-up loser he's become. Good players, good video too--maybe more Taiwanese bands will break out now that CthoniC have done so? Love the production; it's nice to hear the bass and hear him doing interesting things on that front, too. Good job!

@shadow9shuriken Understandable, ChthoniC is an amazing amazing band but what impresses me the most about ANTHELION is that this is their first album and they already sound like veterans, ChthoniC were not this good at the beginning. Anthelion is more a "by the book" Symphonic Black band and ChthoniC has a more "folk" sound because of the Erhu. Anyway both are amazing IMO and should be enjoyed by all Metalheads

@666xTHEFALLENONEx666 Plus, Chthonic has a more Asian sounding style, even their Corpsepaint is based off of Taoist stuff, this band is much more european sounding.

@666xTHEFALLENONEx666 are you talking early Chthonic as in the first album and such? they werent good because Metal didnt really have a big scene in Taiwan around the time Chthonic started many of the members came from different genre of music..but later on when CJ,Doris,Dani,Jesse joined they found their sound and perfected it Anthelion has all metal members from the get go because of the growing metal scene in Taiwan thanks to Chthonic for helping it grow even more both bands are amazing

@surenopimp The early ChthoniC albums were not bad albums. Although not nearly as masterful as their latest releases they were good albums but the recordings quality was not good,,,not good at all.

@surenopimp Yes in a way but ChthoniC never was a "hardcore" Black Metal band. Some Black Metal purist like having albums that sound low-fi, that's their choice not mine. Symphonic Black usually has a pretty good productions in term of recording. . Some bands strike gold from the beginning with a great producer and studios, I think ChthoniC were just unlucky that way for a while that's all

Indeed it is. So glad I have it on DVD along with the video for The Tome of Broken Souls. They only have one LP and it obliterates most Symphonic Black Metal bands entire discography.

Every Metal fans should have this masterpiece in their collection.
