I have, probably the same edition he is playing from. Most of the notes in the groups of three are staccato. there are lot of dynamics in the sheet music, but conservatory teacher teach not to use dynamics with Bach, only contrast.
Loved it. If I were to make any suggestion, try dropping your shoulders a bit and relax while you play. Maybe that's just your way to do things, but relaxation is important, especially when playing longer pieces.
i usually go a tad faster. but that depends on how fluent you are with it. the part where you crossed hands interested me, because i've never seen someone literally jump over the other. usually just gliding, one wrist low, the other high. i liked it a lot, cleaner than i could do it.
Please don't listen to anything those people here are telling you. You know it better than them. The only thing that is wrong with your video is that the piano is out of tune. Other than that, well done!
ooh... Never raise from the piano chair before your hands has been taken away from the keyboard :O I think it's nice, except from that. It's really hard to get a musicality in Bach, which doesn't sounds too artificial.
i find the part at the end where your hands cross is pretty hard lol cuz you like lose count of whats going on :O the D note repeats itself like three times haha and i just gotta find a way how to move my hands for it
I like the speed you play this at.Keep your R,H,thumb softer. Those repeated notes are not important.the first of every 3 notes
R.H.hold down longer.then you will get a nice melody running through .You can get more expression by shading with Poco cresc on the up melody and poco dim.down . Improve on good basic work.
good technique, but make the main melody (most of the time the left hand) come out...it's the most important part. also, make the right hand softer and a bit more legato. nice job overall.
first, the main melody (mostly the left hand) should come out more. second, the right hand shouldn't be so loud and staccato all the time. third, USE YOUR WRISTS!!! lastly, put some more feeling in it. food technique though
first, the left hand (in the second line it's the right) needs to come out-its the melody!!! second, the right hand shouldn't have been so loud and staccato the whole time. lastly, put some emotion and feeling into it!

i know know..i liked it! but some people are right, you need more dynamics. go onn..you can learn too much.
valeerioo45 3 years ago
you need to have more feeling and emotion by adding in some dynamics.

great touch..mechanical, but isn't Bach supposed to be?
danstash 4 years ago
Not at all. Just because the composition is well-thought-out, rational or mathematical, doesn't mean that interpretation should be mechanical.

I disagree, most of these three and two part inventions have equally important parts, thats one reason I love Bach.
Great job, extremely hard piece!
