  • "If I told them to take Captain Crunch, they would." ha ha

  • ok so i go to school. i wake up at 5:30 and get home around 3:00 this is on fridays only.. monday trough thursday, I usually dont get home till around 6 because of football. now my question is if i can eat before and after my work outs. in football we do alot of weight lifting. I also want to gain more muscle and loose some fat. I weigh (250 lbs) I've been loosing alot of weight. anyways what should i drink? WEIGH PROTEIN, OR JUST PROTEIN? im not familiar with this stuff. just started..

  • This guy is spot on.

  • can you tell me if the muscle pain (of what some called 'beautiful pain') after you worked out for 6-24 hours is what showed u that u've done atleast enough for ur workout and it's waiting to be repaired and grow?

  • @EthanLee

Yeah. I personally believe that its the

    most popular muscle building programs

online today for a very good reason unlike

many other programs, there's a lot of science

behind this one..Thats why I decided to try it

myself and was happy with the result. anyway,

    its all in the site:

    MusclesMaximizer.info

  • yes but, if you do workout, do you need alot of protein

  • Comment removed

  • I love your no nonsense videos. I'm glad you tell it like it is without following the popular fads out there.

  • @Naturalhit Thank you!

  • 50lbs muscle/year? Let's see the cases, remember to include body fat %, not just weight!

  • Alright. We understand now - exercise build muscles, not food.

That said, ASSUMING THEY'RE LIFTING HEAVY, how much protein should a person have per day? Or are you saying two individuals who lift the same but eat differently will get exactly the same results? Is the "1g/lb of LBM" thing just not true?

  • @BJ219 0.6-1g/lb lbm is plenty, you actually don't need that much protein

  • one pound of muscle in a week. lol thats like steroids, not protein!

  • @VisionimagifyTV I think a fairly high protein diet is helpful to building muscle, but powders are over rated. You can get this fairly large volume of protein from whole foods.

  • Steve, you are a great guy... and it's the truth about protein, we don't need nearly as much as they would like us to think we do. You workout hard, you exhaust yourself... you exhaust yourself, you get hungry... you get hungry, you eat... you eat, and you are no longer hungry. Simple. Stuffing yourself with food to the point of getting nauseated is simply mindless... this is a crazy world we all live in. Quote: "More iron... More IRON... LIFT MORE IRON!".

  • cameltoe

  • @tommythetigersaw Also, one more thing. When I started, I was, like thousands of people around the globe, exposed to that PROTEIN PROTEIN AND PROTEIN philosophy, and of course I followed such a diet. Now, from my personal experience, I can say that all of that protein hype is complete BS. Most important thing to do in order to progress in strength or endurance is to supply your organism with enough carbohydrates. Protein is not that critical. And it is present in almost all foods that we eat.

  • @tommythetigersaw I had the same problem (with rapid energy loss) until I figured it all out. Here it is: EAT MORE WHITE BREADS! I was once overweight so I stopped eating cereals completely. When I lost weight, I started lifting, but I preserved my "no white bread" philosophy. I had a rapid energy loss on my workouts, and it was sudden, like someone would cut it with a knife. When I started eating nice amounts of white breads, my problem was gone, and I was more energized than ever.

  • Steve... What is, in your opinion, the main reason why majority of guys in the gym NEVER train their legs?

  • @smoothMousePad Laziness. It takes effort. Plus, nobody ever asks to see your leg muscles. They want to see your arms and they ask how much you bench.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Since I put that comment 4 months ago I did squats 3 times a week. I started with 30kg 5 reps 3 working sets and now I am on 76kg 5 reps 3 working sets. It pays off some huge interest...

  • hey, nice hearing this man about supplements, a lot of people at the gym asked me what kind of protein do i take, which i reply i dont take any (never took any supplements) after that i usualy get a answer like: "then you're doing this for nothing you won't gain anything if you dont take protein"

  • i was reading the comments and i seen one about whey protein and how he said that u said u dont need to take it, well to me i take whey protein because after working out i dont feel like going home and cooking a meal, so i grab the whey and milk mix it together grab a banana. and in the matter of a min i got a meal, i find it easyer then cooking

  • Hi steve, good info. I just started watching your videos, after finding the first one, very simple and to the point. Good job. Quick question. So I don't really have to take protein powder or drink Muscle milk or any stuff like that right? Once I eat like about 5 times for the day, but meals like fish, chicken, and beef, along with cheese and milk? Can I eat those yogurt that had protein also, as a side snack? Thanks, your info is so helpful.

  • I love how you are so realistic "... you have to work out.. its working out that help build muscles" so true, no free lunch.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV time to get bigger shorts ;)

  • Yeah, harder and smarter!

  • You are the ONLY person I've seen/heard say don't bother taking whey protein. That, to me, is awesome..

  • @rohaniscool Thanks. I know. People eat more than enough proetin to build tons of muscles. What the sellers of that shit fail to telll you is muscles come from consistent working out!

  • are your feet purple? doesnt look like you get much circulation with those shorts....

    never the less.... good video

  • @Whiskey136 Sorry dude. Just big legs.

  • I read an article that said the days that you get a good pump in the gym are the days you ate right.

  • @MadWeiner Where did you read this article? If it was in a magazine like "Muscle and Fitness" you should forget you ever read it. Publications like that aren't worth their weight in dog turds.

  • @MadWeiner If you get a good pump its ushally because you had alot of carbs are your muscles are full and look swollen. so yea more blood to the muscle is the pump! :)

  • why are u making a video about protein and supplements when u have taken steroids? if you have taken steroids u cant tell anyone what to do unless ure telling them what steroids to take

  • @scotland1989able I've NEVER taken steroids. You make a big assumption!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV u have never taken steroids in your life? some boy has been saying that u have taken steroids and u have been quoted sayin i took steroids only to get big or something is that no true?

  • You are changing the world of fitness. Why aren't you all over tv and educating America. Shout this stuff from the mountain tops! You provide factual information that's undeniable. Thanks for all you do!

  • Hi Steve! do you think I can build bigger muscles if I eat 5x/a day,but always just a little bit? my foods would be higher caloria deficit( for example potato,eggs,chiken,bread,seeds,meat,rice....so everything)

    Thanx!

  • @TheTibigabi Remember, bigger muscles come from lifting not just eating. You have to put those calories to use repairing your muscles. Eating by itself will not cause your muscles to grow.

  • Steve where can I see an outline of your diet and macros?

  • @murcie888 It's nothing special. Usually cereal for breakfast, ham sandwich for lunch, bagel for snack, salmon and rice for dinner. Noth crazy!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV So you really don't have a set amount of carbs/pro/fat that you eat? You've always eaten this way?

  • @murcie888 That's right. LIFTING causes muscle growth. A calorie deficit causes weight loss.

  • What leg exercises do you do? I would love legs like yours.

  • @Jesussaves1980 Leg Press, hack squats, seated leg curls, lying leg curls.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Four great exercises for legs. Listen to Steve people. I incorporate those, along with free squats.

  • I can't help but stare at your balls. How about instead of talking about protein you get looser shorts.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV LOL @ "Unlike most guys doing P90X I have big legs."

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Short pants are sexy... I don't mine the shorts.. lol

  • @theyear2102 LOOOL

  • yea 15 extra grams a day but you need a constant supply ie eating small amounts every 2-3 hours for optimum growth

  • how about when dieting?

I fear that I might lose muscle when I dont eat large amounts or protein when Im trying to lose bodyfat.

  • @27blitz27 I answer this question all the time on my BlogTalkRadio show. Go there search & Steve Turano. The show can also be downloaded from iTunes. The most recent shows can also be heard on my website home page (at the bottom) once they upload. Tell a friend! ~Steve

  • work out hard 4-5 times dont over train your muscles you need to rest.. have a high protien diet 1gram of protien per pound of body weight and you will gain muscle steve your right and wrong. protein shakes are the best thing for you 20 -30 mins after your work out even chuck in a bananna with the shake... eat less and more often and with in a year you could lose 50 pounds of fat and gain 20 to 30 pounds of muscle, working out is the easy part its your diet thats hard.

  • dang man, you always give me the information when i need it, like right when I am thinking about it. damn you and your telepathy

  • nice shorts steve

  • Sorry, big legs.

  • i want to loose body fat, especially in the belly. Is a protein shake in the morning a good way to go?

  • sorry but i have to disagree...a good diet makes up at least (!) 40-50% of your muscle growth. u can train like ur life depends on it but without the right nutrition, u will never build the muscles u could have with a good nutrition plan

  • You can disagree but you would be incorrect. With your theory we could just eat better, not lift, and become stronger which doesn't happen.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV then please tell me why every pro bodybuilder eats like 400g proteins a day, even the natural ones

  • They're stupid and they don't know any better. Just becasue they don't know the truth doesn't mean it's not the truth!!!!

  • Hello sir! Thanks for speaking loudly and clear, I wasn't born in an english country, but I can understand everything that you are saying in the video.I don't like bodybuilding, i'd prefer calisthenics and fitness, but your words are very useful for me.

  • Thank you!

  • "Protein, food, and supplements don't build muscle".

Wrong, that is exactly what they do. Working out will only damage your muscles without food. It is the food which repairs them and makes them stronger.

Choose your word more carefully in future.

  • Hey jack off...if those foods did build muscle all you would have to do is just eat more of thjem to get more muscle so they DON'T build muscle.

  • He forgot to say, Proper Rest too, I'm guessing that is a given.

  • look at his leg muscles O_O

  • Bro, u r awesome!

thanks for all the advice from every video!

  • Happy to waTCH your videos :) I learned new things today :) Thanks and dont forget to watch my videos :D

  • So protein just helps u heal faster..so u could work harder and faster...I GOT IT....i love this guy

  • @jonie2time extra protein does not make you heal any faster. A normal diet supplies more than enough protein to heal and recover. Sleep plays a big role in recovery more so then protein. Protein is also found in many carbs and other foods that mix in your stomach to form complete proteins.

  • Great video. People seem to be focusing more on protein then they are focusing on actually lifting weights.

  • True!

  • @legendstheband You need to be focusing on both inclusing proper rest.

If you just bump up your protein intake and not work out then you won't build any muscle. But if you only work out and don't eat properly, then you won't get any bigger either.

  • 75 lb. seated DB press X 10, and in following workouts did 80 lb. seated Press X 8 and 85 lb DB press X 6. That's a brute strength exercise. I train one shoulder at a time. I have NO IDEA why my shoulder power climbed like that all of a sudden and I'm 5 lbs. lighter now and 10 lbs. lighter then I was in the last 4-5 years. Spartan...LOL,..as I lifted that 85 lb. dumbell to my shoulder and pushed out that sixth reps, I said to myself as I did it...EXTRA--PROTEIN--DOESN'T--MEAN--SHIT!!! LOL.

  • i READ anyways that when your sick glutamine is robbed from your body, and supplimenting it has benefits. ALso i heard it has immune boosting effects, but i could be wrong and just be reading companies bullshit.

  • have protein intakes somewhat elevated from the average person. He believes that a HARD training 165 lb (75 Kg) athlete should consume as much as 1.0 grams of protein / per KILOGRAM of bodyweight which=75 grams of protein daily. For the average non-training athlete he recommends about 60g of protein daily. This writer is a bodybuilding champion, Olympic lifter and competitive rowning athlete. He had a column for many years in Joe Weiders Muscles & Fitness. This CONFIRMS Steve's point on protein.

  • i totally believe this one...thanks for the confirmation

  • Brushfour you must have been scared as hell to drop your protein intake to under 100 grams a day LOL. Honestly ive droped my protein intake to 0.7 grams per POUND of body weight, lost some fat and gained muscle. But i think im ready to make the next big step and drop it even further. Honestly im still skeptical because i have been so misled over the years by gym rats and suppliment magazines but im going to give it a try. I dont think im convinced enough to drop my glutamine all-together yet..

  • LOL..you got that right. I kept my protein about .9 grams per LB. of bodyweight. Probably went over that on Cheat days. I was truly watching for muscle loss, strength loss...actually those go hand in hand, and just a loss of a strong and refreshed look. I went from 160+ grams of protein per day...to about 90 to 115 grams per day. Lost nothing. Have a had lots of great workouts. Cardio intervals are strong as shit. Lost 5 lbs. of fat. My workouts and strength gain/losses are exactly as always.

  • I can't say my bench has gone up or anything, but it didn't last year either. I've been at about 355 lbs for quite some time on all sorts of protein intakes. I had 3 notable strength gains. One on calves raises, but I'll attribute that to being 5 lbs. lighter as calve raises include bodyweight...same with new gains on ab strength. But the third was seated DB shoulder press. In my life, 75 lb DB X 7 reps was my max. For some reason I had a SERIOUS run on shoulder strength this late Fall. I did..

  • They found that the age factor made no difference. They took a muscle biopsy from several areas of the body; chest, arm, thigh, etc. They found that adding the 60 grams for both age groups had absolutely NO EFFECT in building ANY ADDITIONAL muscle mass. Essentially they proved that the addtional 60g of protein was.." all for nothing." The fitness writer who posted this study today, believes that an athlete who is both a HARD strength training athlete AND a HARD cardio training athlete should....

  • can i ask...what are your views on creatine? should i use it or not? i want to have something aid in my recovery process

  • There a few supplements that really help, but of all the ones that do, creatine is definitely one of them. Creatine will help with muscle contraction and gives you a bit more snap with your quick lifts like powercleans. Creatine will also give you a little more endurance/power to kick up the intensity of your cardio interval training. Maybe in all not by much,..but over time the slight boost creatine can give you will add up. Creatine is good. There's very few supplements I can say that about.

  • what are those supplements?

  • I would say that the only supplements that are worth anything are: Creatine, vitamins (multi-vitamin), possibly fish oil, and MAYBE Glutamine if you're training hard. But you don't need Glutamine if you give your muscles enough rest between workouts. In short, when I was overtraining a bit about 10 years ago, Glutamine at least " felt " like it was helping. Some experiended lifters I've read have agreed. The only supplements I take now are Vitamins and creatine. I gave up protein supplements.

  • i appreciate you giving up some of your time to reply...it does help bigtime....i gave up protein powders when i saw this vid....thanks steve for making me save some money

  • Just read a new study out on protein as it relates to muscle building. The study was conducted by the Medical Research dept at the University of Texas at Galvaston. They were trying to determine if elevated protein intake at one meal would have any effect in increasing muscle protein synthesis over a much lower protein intake at one meal. They used 4 study groups. 2 groups of young and older men average ages 34 years, and 68 years old respectively. One group was fed 90g of protein, the other 30g.

  • how can u get cut/ripped?, not big .

can u make a video of the goals of getting cut

  • @sakoking, to get ripped/cut, all you need to do is go on a diet and do alot of cardio

  • and muscle too, u forgot that , if u just do cardio u'll get skinny ..

  • @sakoking well true but thats why you work out. workout to gain muscle and the cardio to reduce body fat

  • not saying protein alone gets you buff, it's the hard work that really counts.

  • I agree with you Steve, look at the dudes in prison- they are getting buffed eating prison food. I read somewhere that the average American consumes twice the protein they need. I believe the only people who may have problems getting enough protein are vegetarians. The supplement industry is about making money. I remember about a quarter of a century ago everybody said one could only absorb 25-30 grams of protein at a time, now we have proteins drinks sold at over 50 grams a pop.

  • wow great point about the guys in prison. Next time i walk into a gnc and they try and sell me 1000 suppliments ill ask them why guys locked up with no access to powders prolly not even multivitamins are getting jacked, AND loosing weight cuze thiers not alot of excess food. cant wait to see thier response lol

  • i know a couple of people that were in prison, and they said they had protein powder for sale at a canteen...now i'm guessing rules vary from prison to prison, and from inmate to inmate....i never heard about anything higher than protein powders, so there was probably no creatine.

  • Sure is a great point. Someone posted something like this before. Guys is prison are not getting tons of food and forget about protein supplements. Lots of big guys lifting there. In fact, our State removed most of the heavy Iron stuff from our prison's because of the number of guys that were going to prison and coming out all buffed out. It was the weights that were doing it,...not protein supplementation.

  • i think your right... you should tell this to more people. I don't notice any difference taking 24g of protein after a work out to taking 50 grams of protein... Just have to pee more. & I'm 6'1'' @ 190lbs

    Thanks

  • Great Point!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV

Steve, The more i listen to your comments on protein the more i think about all the times i force fed myself with it!............You live you learn. Regards, Mark.

  • Toody......ME TOO!!!

  • @brushfour

    What a waste!

It cost me a small fortune over the years........And an expanding gut to go with it!.........DAM.

  • Steve,

    become a beachbody coach!!

  • Steve, you are the man. You've clarified so many issues in such a understandable, clear-cut way that's just helped me so much. Thank you for just being an honest, straightforward dude. Keep on keepin' on.

  • You're welcome! And you keep up the good work as well!

  • thanks

  • You're welcome!

  • The whole muscle doesn't break down.

    Only slight tears are repaired.

  • Micro trama or micro tears to be more exact.

  • One of the best fitness writers/trainers that I've EVER met, and he's been around awhile, has a law degree and made his living as a lawyer. He's one of the most articulate spokesman for gaining muscle, losing fat, and all over fitness/health. He's also a VERY accomplished athlete. I asked him one time why he practiced law while so much of his passion was on health. He told me his Father, GrandFather, and GreatGrandfather were all doctors. He had a long running column in Weiders Muscles&Fitness.

  • Steve, I was interested in your college degree/ whatever you are called because I told somebody to watch ur videos, but they question you. they said anybody can go on youtube and say this stuff, but it doesnt make it true I know u know a lot about Biochemistry, but was interested in ur title so this person will believe me? Thanks

  • Many bodybuilders believe that a "Cheat Day" means a gain in fat weight. If they still control the portion sizes somewhat, they can have the cheat foods and not put on any weight. It does get down to a calories in/calories out equation. Can't tell you how many people I know that shop at WHOLE FOODS Market, an Ogranic food market, that simply aren't that lean, and are kind of confused as to why not. Know lots of strength athletes that force protein who's bench press strength never really goes up.

  • Protein is being over consumed by weight training athletes in particular. Many bodybuilders really don't understand the true role of protein in the diet. Many believe that protein builds muscle by itself. IT DOES NOT! Many consume too many calories, much of it coming from unneeded protein. EVERYONE KNOWS that junk food is not the best choice. The discussion has moved way past that. I was consuming 170g of protein daily. I've cut it to 120g. Lost NO muscle, but did lose 4 lbs. of fat over time.

  • aild54, I'm an extremely healthy eater. Nothing but lean, natural foods in my diet. There are TWO major points that he's making that need to be understood ,...and you're missing both of them. Calorie consumption of any kind has a huge effect on longevity and health. Many healthy food eaters are consuming a relatively large volume of healthy food and therefore two many calories. Getting the masses to switch directly to leaner healthy food choices from their present eating pattern is not working.

  • Though protein supplementation isn't necessary, protein is necessary. It'd be foolish to say that an athlete that undergoes weight training needs the same amount of protein as a sedentary person. To an extent, more calories = better recovery. The macronutrient breakdown, meal frequency/timing, and consistency all help. But, to say that it's okay to neglect protein intake for someone who wants to build muscle is... moronic. Protein IS necessary and beneficial. There's a threshold, though.

  • Listen moron, I never said neglect protein. Let me say this AGAIN for the 1000th time. Sure we need protein to repair muscle but a normal diet supplies 2-3 times the needed amounts of protein. People in America are hardly lacking in MACRONUTRIENTS! Their lacking in exercise.

  • I like how you call me a moron, yet you neglect the fact that the RDA for protein is .8g pro/1kg BW. If we have a 150 lb. male, that means he gets 54g pro. That's for a sedentary person. There's no way in hell he'll put on any sort of mass by getting 50g protein a day. His carbs would HAVE to be through the roof, considering you constantly neglect how important dietary fat is! Aside from body composition, high protein diets have other health benefits, such as decreased risk of prostate cancer.

  • I believe you used the word MORNIC first. Check your above comment. And I don't have time to teach you biochemistry. I've already created 240 videos but you're WAY off base with your protein knowledge. Keep reading bobdy building magazines!!!

  • Research shows that eating whatever you want will make you look awesome, as long as you lift. I'm glad you like to present the lazy masses with your brilliant, ground breaking, innovative discoveries. Read up on insulin... how it affects life span, the negative side effects of insulin resistance, etc. You'll see why not to eat junk food and how it affects performance and muscular growth. And just because you created 240 videos of your lies doesn't mean they're right.

  • Good question, as one of those (natural) bodybuilders who at times used to push my protein pretty high, I'm getting my eyes opened here. I was never sure about the whole protein issue. I basically went along with the crowd. Another very good trainer,..who also happens to be a Masters Mr. America winner and Mr. USA champion, told me the same thing years ago. He said, no matter what you hear,...do not force your protein, you don't need as much as you think. I believe now this is correct!

  • ok i have a question, if as you say you dont require that much protein, why are there bodybuilders in bodybuidling magazines and interview videos here on youtube, consuming hundreds and hundreds of grams of protein daily and also advise everyone else to do so too?

    ty,

are they lying , do they not know what they doing?

  • Yes, actually, most of them are lying. These bodybuilders are getting paid big money by supplement companies to promote their products to the public, and protein powder is one of the biggest sellers. That's why you see all the hype in magazines and in interviews...the bottom line is, they make money by promoting this stuff...It's not the protein that makes those body builders huge, it's something a little more powerful..

  • Wow! I found a person on the internet that doesn't talk bullshit! I am in shock!

  • Yep! Nothing but honesty and the truth based on SCIENCE! Check out my website redesign. Also listen to my free seminar on my main page. Please tell your friends as well. I want to help as many people as possible.

  • Soy kind of took a nose dive on the old healthy eating list. Many experts are saying there's not much health benefit to Soy. Heard that it's not that great a protein either. But I do like the taste and I've taken so much focus off protein now that I'm not sure if it matters. I don't consume that much Soy anyway I suppose. I think I mainly get chicken, fish, and dairy protein along wth protein from grains and nuts. I'm waiting to see if my strength drops without all the protein. NO DROP so far!

  • Jack lalane takes 50 grams soy protein everyday for breakfast........

  • I've been off protein powders and most protein bars for almost 6 months now. I must say I haven't noticed any out of the norm increases in strength. Sort of the standard ebb and flow of my usual workouts. BUT, I have not lost any strength or power. Have not lost any muscle. Did lose over 5.5 months...about 4.5 lbs of fat however. Protein powder,..nah.. I'll never go back to the stuff. Never.

  • true i stopped taking protien powders for like 5 months and actually noticed a major improvement in strength still.also i heard taking too much protien and not enough carbs will actually lower your t-levels cause carbs are a insulate that spikes the growth hormone during and after trainning while supplying muscles with energy for repair. also heard eggs and cholostral is imprtant too since studies shown cholestoral helps increase overall free testosrene in the blood streme produced by the liver

  • Man doesn protein destroy your leaver or health. Can u grow muscles without to take any think, no protein no suplement no roids.

  • That's a myth you gotta take a lot of protein for it to destroy your Liver, Protein doesn't grow muscles Lifting weights does.

  • wow wears short shorts and theyre tight lol sorry dude but men have balls lol

  • Sorry dude, but when men have BIG legs and junk their shorts slide up when they sit down.

  • Of course your workout is number one. But without eating right, you wount be able to go a 100%. An eating right aint got nothin to do wit supplements.

  • I never said anything about NOT eating right. I said you don't need TONS of protein nor does extra protein make your muscles grow bigger or faster.

  • i find this video really interesting bec it deviates from what people know...

my question is , how many grams of protein should a man have per lb of bodyweight.

  • 50-60 grams a day is all anybody really needs. You receive more than enough protein in a normal diet.

  • well steve...thanks for the reply.

ill just finish this whey powder that i have now

  • just 50-60 grams of protein a day huh?? COOL...that's much easier than trying to consume, "at least 150 grams of protein per day", like all these Flex and Muscle and Fitness magazines keep saying to take. thanks Steve, you saved me money and calories.

  • Very cool!

  • he knows what hes talkin about rather than telling a beginner to go out and buy a bunch of supplements that they dont know anything about they want them to focus on learning to do the physical work of lifting weight. feeling the lactic acid burn and increase strenght. good angle to come at some one who is just starting out.

  • u should not be using ur lactic acid system. if you are your sets are too long.

atp-pc should be the only system used for building muscle

  • Personal experience is not necessary when a person knows the facts. Why waste time and money.

  • Its hard to say if you are being misleading or not. You say the body only increases 1lb of lean mass per week but people who are new to working out may see bigger gains than that. Now someone who has been training yes thats true but if they are that far into it they need to start micro organizing and maybe get some more protein and change diet. It just depends on where you get your "facts" from.

  • My information is based on SCIENCE. New to lifting or not, muscles can only synthesize 1 lb. of muscle a week. And additional protein won't speed the process or cause more muscles to be built. Stop believing BS put out by companies and magazines!!!

  • True, but in my experience, being hardly no body fat, and just a ripped body, THE ONLY way to gain weight was to work out duh, and take in 145-150 g of protein a day. (my weight). But so if I take less than that, would I still be able to keep my muscle?

  • Your answer is at the end of my most recent Bog Talk Radio show!

  • Nope, not gonna waste my time. I took the initiative of sending you a message, dont direct me somewhere else.

  • Not a problem. I know what I'm doing and I'm already big and strong. Best of luck to you getting more free expert advice from somebody as qualified or experienced.

  • Roughly how many grams should I eat for every pound of body weight if I want to add muscle. I already lift. I weigh 155 lbs and eat about 100 grams a day. Is that enough?

  • so your saying dont drink protein shakes or whatever if your not going to workout? so if you do take them, workout. am i right?

  • wow man u r just contradicting ur self...u said u wud follow someone with personal experience than someone with only facts........

  • a lot of stuff he says is actually very true, suplementation and working out walk side by side in your road to build muscle , BUT personal experience is also very important and everyone should try at least once lots of products "proteins and amino acids" to see the effect they have in your own body.
