  • (mikeysussex) youve obviously met him and knew him personally, unfortunately i didnt, but i always thought he was very funny and he never struck me as being anything other than an entertaining person on TV. I havent anyone that met him before but ive met loads of people who still think he was great.id like to hear what he did to you that makes you think about him that way, if its not too painful to tell us.

  • A ghastly little man in real life. Lewd, rude and unpleasant. He was intensely disliked for his treatment to women and his appalling manners.

  • Charlie was billeted with my father during his time in Ireland and maybe India, both places my own father served, I can remember my father talking about Charlie Drake, I can also remember him making me crease up with laughter..

Would like to make contact with Charlies son Chris, but unable to find anyway of contacting him...

  • alright my lovelys

  • I spy Sam Kidd! anyone remember Orlando???

  • You´re right. Yes, I remember Orlando, watched it every week on ITV if I recall correctly. I used tobe in short trousers then ;D

  • does anybody remember the movie

    "the safe cracker"

  • just had a look at your profile (what there is if it). all you do is nitpick everything you see. you're a prick. no wonder you have fuck all to say about yourself you fucking moron.

the world doesn't need people like you so kindly take an overdose and come back in the next life as a human being.

    idiot.

  • well said!!!

  • hello my darlings

  • "She'll look loverly in white"!

  • Just love it, a comic legend very funny bring it back on tv, better than the crap of todays tv.

  • I lived next door to Charlie Drake for the last five years of his life. He was an absolute legend and I was priviliged to know him. I can't understand why he was not recognised with an OBE for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

  • He had major and long running problems with Her Majesty`s Inland Revenue and Her Majesty was not as a result going to repay him with any gongs

  • It didn't stop Ken Dodd getting an OBE.

  • He had his OBE in 1982. His tax problems arose in 1989 but in any event he was acquitted in court .

  • Didn't know that. Thanks.

  • R.I.P

  • A comic legend! If u haven't seen it you should see Jim Davidson's Sinderella, he's great in that!

  • Like most great comedians Charlie was a great serious actor yet I remember him best in The Worker (later ripped off by Michael Crawford)

  • Hilarious.

  • Hello my darlin what a man he was

  • The best of the best. Does anyone have his skit on the Daffodil Man with Mr. Pugh?

  • No but I used to watch it years ago.
