I havent anyone that met him before but ive met loads of people who still think he was great.id like to hear what he did to you that makes you think about him that way, if its not too painful to tell us.

A ghastly little man in real life. Lewd, rude and unpleasant. He was intensely disliked for his treatment to women and his appalling manners.

Charlie was billeted with my father during his time in Ireland and maybe India, both places my own father served, I can remember my father talking about Charlie Drake, I can also remember him making me crease up with laughter..

I lived next door to Charlie Drake for the last five years of his life. He was an absolute legend and I was priviliged to know him. I can't understand why he was not recognised with an OBE for his contribution to the entertainment industry.

He had major and long running problems with Her Majesty`s Inland Revenue and Her Majesty was not as a result going to repay him with any gongs
